@@eekrats5981 Well, it's 100% freeware without any limits or premium extensions. You can think of it as the linux of game engines. The Godot client (when in development) is like 50mb, boots up almost instantly and requires very few resources making it ideal for development on a battery-powered laptop. Most games made with it are 2D, but it also allows for 3D. It has its own programming language called Godot Script or GDscript for short, which is actually extremely easy to learn and use. They intentionally made the syntax simple to increase development speed and reduce syntax errors. For coders, who prefer to use stuff like strong rather than loose typing though, they can just do that - it provides a lot of flexibility in that regard. But it also integrated languages like C#, C++ and others. Also I like the UI a lot, I find it more intuitive and nice than Unity's for example. Another major difference is the "Node"-System. I can't be bothered to explain that here, but it's also nice.
@@Koshokar I've used Linux on various occasions, but will never use it as a desktop. So much software I depend on is just simply not available on linux, not even through wine/proton. Also, most computer hardware is made to support windows, so if you didn't build a very specific PC build, installing linux will almost certainly give you a lot of problems

I’ve seen plenty of spiders that large but the more intimidating ones in my opinion are the jumping spiders. They’re slightly smaller than what was in the video but you try to swat em and they jump on you. They’ve never hurt me before and they scare me so I usually leave them alone anyway but still.

Dude you can find huge spiders like that in lots of the U.S. Where I live in Wisconsin we have baby spiders cause of our cold weather... went to a music festival in like 6 hours away in Ohio and saw this MASSIVE frickin tarantula that had climbed onto our tent. It was fucking lifechanging levels of terrifying
I would love to see the Forest backdrop with a parralax effect so it seems really deep and more of an pit. If possible you could also make the shadows from everything softer over that area. I really love the style and idea of that game. I wish you good luck with it. EDIT: I just noticed you already have a part 2 and the game is already out. My bad!

This is literally the exact same thing I'm trying to do, I'm in middle school and most people my age don't work, especially during quarantine. So I'm just trying to whip up a game so I can buy myself a better comp and work on a bigger project. btw despite my age, I already have about 2 years of game making experience. my game uses an algorithm to generate cavelike "catacomb" structures.
That game looks fun to play. You could have made the holes where you can see the foliage a parallax effect so that the player thinks that the foliage is on a much lower level than the playfield but that's just sugar on top.

This is absolutely sick dude! Great game design. Imo the pits with the jungle are a little busy compared to the level itself which draws my eye to the pits more than the floor and such. Idk exactly how I’d change it (partly bc I don’t know the universe/world you’ve got it set in...) but just a bit to much by comparison. Otherwise this look brilliant! Keep up the amazing work!
I think that when the enemies do their 360 scan it would make more sense if they did a 180 scan to the left, then a 180 scan to the right by turning their head. Like looking over their left shoulder then right, I feel like it would mimic a person looking around themselves in a more human/natural way.
yeah that would look a lot better but would take a couple hours to program, would rather spend that time on making levels and new mechanics at this stage of the project. If I have time towards the end of the month I'll probably do that

it would be very cool if instead of seeing enemies thru walls you could only see the surroundings of your player, then you could add mirrors and windows to help you see thru corners and walls. You would be able to see the guns and objects in the other rooms because I think thats pretty fun but not the enemies and also add ammo so you cant just shoot randomly at the dark. This is a great idea for a game, congratulations
if he just had telekinetic powers, and could throw mugs, or pencils, but really fast, like faster than a bullet, items in the surroundings, and also could set enemies on fire, to distract them, or wound them . .
