Great video Seb, well done. Highlights the issues succinctly as well as the solution. As said by William Clouston many times, the starting point for solving the many problems we face is simply, to want to, and have the resolve to follow through, something that's been sadly lacking in successive Labour and Tory governments.

Housing is the one aspect of the SDP project that is not going to solve the problem built over 50 years of Parliamentary mismanagement.
    1) you do need government owned building built for those who cannot afford the rents where the work is, but you also need to rent those homes to the people best suited for the community as a whole. That means no flooding them with migrants and making a mini region of some other nation, or filling them up with CHAVs who will just run the community down.
    2) Nor can you just build them in places which already have a population over reach on current services, like Khan wanting more houses near mosques in an already over housed London. You should build new towns and villages like they did after WW2, ie Dagenham, or Milton Keynes.
    3) Migrants? Just who are you really building these new homes for? That is what I'm asking. If it's just for them to que jump I'd say don't build more houses.
    4) jobs to go into first then homes for the workers is how it worked in the past, houses then hope for work just leads to deprivation and slum towns

Decrease GROSS migration! Net is the number after people have left and people leaving are including indigenous british families.

No such thing as indigenous British, the main ethnic group our culture is based off famously migrated here from modern day Germany/Netherlands

edit: the defintion of indigenous is '(of people) inhabiting or existing in a land from the earliest times or from before the arrival of colonists.' given the fact the Anglo Saxons colonised these lands and spread across all corners of it it's fair to say we no longer have an indigenous population.

@@slipperywinston4076 And yet I'm sure you're happy to call the Maori indigenous to New Zealand, despite the fact that they've been in NZ for less time than the English have been in England.
Denial of a people's existence is the first step towards gen o c.i.d.e. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Would the Housing Inspectorate also be inspected properties with live in landlords? These types of tenancies often get overlooked.

A bit disingenuous to compare the build rates of 1950's to todays building standards.
In the 50' & 60's after the 2nd great disagreement huge housing plans involved 100's of thousandss of prefabs being built - I lived in one in the early 80's, it was eventually knocked down and rebuilt to better standards much like the rest after the plinth it was built on snapped allowing me to see though the skirting board to the outside world as the end of the building sank. - great fun in the winter.
    To reduce demand reduce immigration.
Also where are the workers to build these new houses coming from - immigration?

The only way to reduce the housing crisis without building millions of houses is to reduce the number of people in the country.

On the topic of immigration we need to move away population growth through immigration as quickly as possible.
On Council and Social Housing this would be a controversial idea but maybe the ethnic makeup of new tenants should reflect the National rather than local demographics. This is done in Singapore to avoid demographic divides.

Mass Deportations is a policy that solves for pattern & can solve many problems.
Not least the impending native minoritisation.
