@@mothintofllame omg same!! songs that can get us to cry are so special. about you (honestly even the album) is gonna be a classic decades from now i feel :D
Hearing About You for the first time gave me the same feeling I got when I first heard Robbers for the first time. Carly's vocals were amazing. This whole album threw me back to their self titled album and I felt a whole lot of things I haven't felt for a long time. They never miss and this was one of the best albums they have had in a while. Oh Caroline has to be one of my favs
I'm so curious if you've ever listened to Hozier's work. His lyrics hit like a truck and he has such a gorgeous voice. I'd love to see reactions to the two albums he has out so far. A third is on its way! :D
I genuinely think this is The 1975’s best album, and will age so beautifully. Its the most concise and cohesive record they’ve made. However, I understand why others like some of their previous albums better because of the different vibes or songs that are on them. I still think ILIWYS is my personal favorite, but BFIAFL is their best piece of work. The concert was also PERFECT. So energetic and everyone was so into it and just enjoying the moment.
i think this is my favorite 1975 title track - typically i don’t ever listen to them or come back to them unless i am listening to one of the albums from start to finish, however i am continuing to come back and actually listen to this one. i listened to matty and george on a podcast recently where they went over different demos and how it was produced, etc. and it was awesome. the way he sings “it’s about time, and this is what it looks like” scratches an ITCH in my brain i LOVE IT. and oh caroline is probably my favorite - it is SUCH a classic 75 song.
In one of their interviews they said that a lot of the time they purposely played instruments that they didn’t know how to play throughout the album!! That’s how they got those “creepy” sounds on part of the band lol
this is the most unique 1975 album there is, and it just grows on me more and more day by day. they’re my favorite band so i was bound to like it i suppose, but i genuinely think this is their best work in a while.
You’re one of the only reactors who actually vibed to “Wintering”! The world needs a modern Christmas banger and I’m stoked to play this during the Feast of Seven Fishes
i got to see them live yesterday. it was my 5th time. matty performed like it was the last show of his life, and he looks SO HEALTHY. not to mention, the band was phenomenal as always, and the two girls they have on tour with them are BADASS. johns sax solos were perfect, and the interaction as friends was beautiful. the show told a story, and the stage was amazing! this is their best album yet, and they just keep getting better!
The 1975 is no doubt one of the greatest bands to ever exist in the modern generation. Apart from Matt Healy, you can see the talent and appreciation for music being fostered by all other members of the band itself. Now that they’ve got a new album in their hands, it’s bound to inspire others to really express themselves without having to worry about what other people may think about them.
@@colinepc matty has said a lot of controversial things on his social media platforms mostly all of them are jokes but it does get him “canceled” from time to time. Life is to sort to pretend you don’t like the 1975.
I'm a fan of The 1975 and Taylor. All because wonderful lyrics, the story and melody. It's sad that we haven't be able to hear their collab songs YET!! Taylor I come after you until you release them, girl :))
They might just do! They were seen going out from a studio together... Maybe if my clowning is blessed, 1989 Taylor's Version would have a feature with Matty 🙏
wintering is really my favorite song on the album it makes me nostalgic for spending the holidays with my family n catching up w people I haven't seen in a while I love it sososo much (also makes me a little emotional bc I haven't seen them in a long long time but I can be nostalgic to it n that's enough for now lol)

bro, at first i didn’t care about “about you”. but hearing matty saying that this is literally a continuation of robbers, makes all that aesthetic and the almost cinematic lyrics get together. beautiful!
"Matty Healy could just, 'mmmmmmm' in my ear the entire album and I'd be like 10/10 banger." Literally me in every way. Their 5 albums just stay on permanent rotation all day long. His voice... I can't.
Idk if someone’s commented this already but I learned that this is an album that can be looped. If u listen closely to the end of “When We Are Together” the ending transitions perfectly into “The 1975.” It’s dope!
I’ve loved The 1975 for years, they got me through high school! this album was definitely my favorite of the past 3. it’s so beautiful and unique. About You made me cry, brought me right back to my hs years, listening to Robbers in my bedroom. Wintering is definitely my favorite on the album!
if you haven't checked it out you should totally listen to the tape notes podcast's interview with Matty and George. They talk about what goes down in the studio and share stems and demos and such, it's a super cool insight into their writing process for this album.

I can't wait to experience this and them at their very best in person. Literally have a note in my notes app for things to listen for and see how they do live. Can't tell you how much I love this band!!

When I listened to All I Need To Hear for the first time I cried so much, because I knew that I wanted it as my first dance song. Exact same reaction as you, it just feels like a wedding song. It's such a gorgeous song and it just has this almost magical feel to it!
This video makes me tear up because I love seeing people love music I love as much as I do! I react to the 1975 like you do every time I hear them. They're my seratonin.
With Jack being everywhere, I wonder if you'd be interested in reacting to one of his albums with his band, Bleachers. I think maybe "Gone Now" is the most notable?? But that's me personally maybe, haha. Especially when you like the more 80s sounds, I bet you'd really enjoy his stuff.
Every month or so I come back to this video because it is just pure blissful, unbeaten joyful, immaculate vibes. Troy’s reaction embodies all us 75 fans hearing their tunes!

ABSOLUTELY AGREED
It's a good song but for me feels more mainstream pop than any of their other songs, probably something heavily influenced by Jack Antinoff.
why is this my least favorite on the album
“It’s almost as if Taylor swift was completely unhinged” aged nicely 😂
If only he knew what was coming 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
You can not convince me that song isn’t about her
Nah because I'm here cause of that. As ashamed I am to admit it I have an obsession with them only since he started dating her
