    I am a student of Russian and Chinese culture. I love studying the history of China and its ethnic diversity! China has around 56 ethnic groups and a rich culinary diversity. I love the southern provinces of China, Tibetan culture, cinematographic works set in China during the 19th and 20th centuries, historical villages and poems.
    Greetings and love from Brazil!🇧🇷❤🇨🇳

    It doesn't look like you guys did much preparation before going to China, which makes some things a little hard to get used to. On the other hand, it means that you guys are seeing China for the first time with relatively fresh eyes, with few preconceptions. I liked the fact that you had open minds, and so you were able to take in a lot of new things and enjoyed yourself. It was funny to see your reaction to that Lemon Green Tea drink. You seemed to really love it and was shocked by how wonderfully refreshing it was. Chinese are huge foodies! Eating and drinking well is the keystone to our lives. If only you had more time to really try a lot more of our food and drink. I think that if you did, you might be reluctant to get on that plane back to Europe, haha. But now that you have visited Shanghai, please remember that China has about a dozen cities that are gigantic and modern, and dozens and dozens more which are full of a mix of traditional culture and the ultra modern, and each city, each area, offers its own particular style of food that will bedazzle your taste buds. So, now you know what China can be like. You know that it is safe, you know the prices are low, the people are friendly and polite, and the opportunity to experience new things is literally endless. So come back. Come back and visit us again. Go where you want. Go to huge ultramodern, mind blowing cities like Chungqing, or travel to Xinjiang, where you can ride camels and climb sand dunes. Be our guests. We welcome you to our home. We are proud of it.

    Regarding bumping into each other (or accidentally blocking each other's way) this is one thing I have to get used to in Germany as well is that people don't say sorry/excuse me or macht nichts to me, when I said Entschuldigung, instead they put on this very annoyed face. And when I give way to people, they don't say thank you. And once or twice I do hear people talk behind my back saying China this and that, because they saw someone with an Asian face, I find that quite rude talking behind people's backs. But when I am in a tour group with other foreigners (i.e. non-local Germans) I felt like everything went back to "normal" again, because people do say excuse me/sorry or thank you which is a custom that's very common in many countries. So I don't know why the person is complaining about bumping into locals and expecting an apology, since in Germany it's the same.
    So on the third day of my trip, I have stopped saying Entschuldigung, because if I do, it's like I am in the wrong.
    And what I find strange about China is that the racism or the double standards are often reversed. People can often be very friendly to foreigners, but when it comes to Chinese Expats or diasporas, the attitude is often very different. I once saw comments saying Chinese who returned to China should go back to that country because they are competing resources with the locals.

    • @rollingdownfalling
      @rollingdownfalling 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@directxxxx71 I have TH-cam evidence. And I countered that this is discrimination. For instance, someone overseas (with a Chinese background) found a girlfriend in China. People start to make assumptions and quick judgement that this guy can't find a girlfriend locally and needs to get a girlfriend in China and start talking trash about this person, so I was thinking that what if this person is white.

    • @Jack-Y-J
      @Jack-Y-J 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As a mainlander, let me tell you. You are misleading. We just don't like those foreign Chinese who belittle and slander China, they are particularly contradictory, on the one hand slandering China on the Internet, and on the other hand, they return to China and enjoy the fruits of China's development. It's like, if you have a relative who always slanders you among people, but he comes to your house and enjoys your hospitality, I don't think you like such a relative either, right? --From Google Translate

    • @rollingdownfalling
      @rollingdownfalling 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Jack-Y-J First, this may be your assumption that you may think Asians from other countries are belittling you. Second, China is pretty notorious in the minds of many Countries including Al-Jazeera (so not only the West), what makes you think that some locals from other countries are any different. And it really depends on the individual's attitude and respect towards another tbh. So why when expats are coming back it's like stealing the fruit but when others are visiting it's different, aren't they "stealing" the fruit of China's lower cost labor and developed infrastructure for their own conveniences, if people use this kind of logic. Wouldn't that be double standards.
      Having said that, I am not suggesting that China should increase the very well known and infamous nationalism and Xenophobia, instead people with different skin colours should be treated more equally.
