The Used aren’t my favorite band (but they are never off my weekly listening,) but it’s crazy how they have consistently managed to put out great music after all of these years. Even bands I like more have put out albums I didn’t like or didn’t connect with, but what The Used have managed to do is rare. They have never seemed out of touch or trying to relive the glory days, and in saying that, I do realize they have said this is supposed to be like their earlier albums...but it really sounds like its own thing. Hope this band never goes away.

They aren't underrated. They had shit ton of huge hits back in the day, they were on MTV like all the time and they are widely credited with popularizing screamo vocals in the mainstream. To this day zoomer emo-rappers quote them as their influence.

Jesus Christ Bert, you really did it with this one. This is a damn masterpiece if I’ve ever seen one. Jam packed with allusions, irony and symbolism, yet oozes of originality. Definitely nourishes and strengthens my body. I’m absolutely stoked to see the rest of this album while you’re in stride.

I'm hoping it will be something similar to Imaginary Enemy: That was the cleanest and most vibrant album they made in my book. The Canyon had the right idea, but somehow they made big mistakes on the execution and didn't detail it as nicely.

So they recently did a react to music video segment with Loudwire (2 weeks ago ish) and they say in that video that the song they sing at the beginning of this is a scrapped song. Never quite had a set title, not completed or released, but maybe “Clean” was tossed around as title. They took the best part, the chorus, and used it for the opening of this music video.

Not many. The Used wanted to make an album that was authentic to their live sound. I’d say it turned out pretty damn well considering how hard it is to record straight to cassette tape. Wow, these guys are really coming together in their sound and influence as artists. Its pretty surreal being from the same town as them(infact I'm in that town now((Orem,UT). Every single word, song, album they have put out resonates in me. I've been through everything Bert has been through up until the band was signed up by their first label. I hope they start to get the recognition they deserve, reach the farthest edges of the map that holds this kind of art. There are people who have never heard of or seen them play. You said "these guys are really coming together". The Used has been a band for just about 20 years but this is their 3rd lineup change. I'd say they really came together a long time ago. They're just still moving forward and evolving with new guitarists. You also talk like they're virtually unknown. The Used has a huge following still today and at one point was extremely well known. The most well known band in their style of music and some of the top selling songs and records in the world during their time. I'm 35 years old and lived through it all. I've been listening to them since before their first record released and they've been my favorite band since. I've been to countless shows around the world and follow everything they do. I'm sorry, but you just don't sound like someone who really knows the band and what they've done. Or I can't imagine you saying some of those things.

Wow, these guys are really coming together in their sound and influence as artists. Its pretty surreal being from the same town as them(infact I'm in that town now((Orem,UT).
Every single word, song, album they have put out resonates in me. I've been through everything Bert has been through up until the band was signed up by their first label. I hope they start to get the recognition they deserve, reach the farthest edges of the map that holds this kind of art. There are people who have never heard of or seen them play. People who's lives could be changed if they had that chance. I know mine has and still does.

Not to be a jerk, but you don't really sound like you know what you're talking about. Maybe you're from the general area but you're just very young? Here's what's wrong with what you said.
You said "these guys are really coming together". The Used has been a band for just about 20 years but this is their 3rd lineup change. I'd say they really came together a long time ago. They're just still moving forward and evolving with new guitarists. You also talk like they're virtually unknown. The Used has a huge following still today and at one point was extremely well known. The most well known band in their style of music and some of the top selling songs and records in the world during their time. I'm 35 years old and lived through it all. I've been listening to them since before their first record released and they've been my favorite band since. I've been to countless shows around the world and follow everything they do. I'm sorry, but you just don't sound like someone who really knows the band and what they've done. Or I can't imagine you saying some of those things.
