Ace Indian archer Deepika Kumari won her pre-quarters round 6-5 in a shoot-off against ROC's Ksenia Perova. However, she lost 0-6 to San An of Republic of Korea, which ended her run at #Tokyo2020.

The Korean had won 2 gold gold medals in this olympics in team events already. That was a big psychological booster for her. She had almost nothing to lose. But Deepika was under immense pressure because no Indian archer has ever won a medal in Olympics. That's why she lost (she had defeated An San in her previous encounter by the way)..

To all those criticizing she was eliminated in 1/64 in 2012, 1/32 in 2016 but here she made it to quarter finals.Lets hope she wins in next Olympics.If we support her today she will make us proud tomorrow.Mirabai chanu also lost in 2016 rest is history.

Scoring 7,8 at Olympics? She was never this inconsistent before. Mental strength seem to be lacking. Tons of practice and she hits a 7.
I don't understand why always when we reach knock out stages we fail to handle the pressure, the play she displayed today wasn't something one expects from World No 1. It's not the first time, earlier too in London and Rio the same story happened with her, I have utmost respect for her but when you are ranked 1, one shouldn't be affected by any sort of pressure, we can't always excuse our selves with reasons, its high time we accept the harsh fact that we choke when we are in knockout stages.
Note: Before anyone says what am i doing well she's been doing archery since 12 years now, definitely we can't expect such mistakes at such crucial time.
Being ranked no.1 and knowing that 1.6 B people are expecting you to win(after 4 years) itself creates the biggest mental pressure.

If you want to defeat Koreans you have to be consistent atanu das showed the level of consistency..... deepika kumari she deserves to be on the podium... But she needs to be more consistent in hitting 10's.... every now and than she hits 7's and 8's which is the problem am seeing this from the London Olympics she has improved but some where the nervousness of being in Olympics is still der ....
It’s unfortunate Deepika lost. But her opponent was in menacing form. It all depends on the given day and time. If ur against the most fiercest opponents even slightest of errors can lead to your loss.

Ar me gyan ni hu but aap se jada ache se janta hu iss field ko. Maine khud handball junior me national ar senior me state level khela h. Ar itne saal khelne k baad bhi sab yahi bolte h handball kya cheeze hoti h. Basketball hota h kya/ isse acha cricket khelte to kuch fayda bhi hota. Bhai aise cheezo se moral down hota h player ka ar koi cricket k alawa kisi ar sports me jana ni chata kyuki scope bhut kam h.
