My all time fav Reverse Panda is the Omega Speedmaster “Speedy Tuesday” limited edition. With its fully brushed case and radial dials it’s near perfection.
I am hoping that Omega would step up their game and release a Panda Speedmaster in their regular line up now that they released a White Speedmaster. Its hard to find those special editions (ck2998 and Tokyo Olympic, in adfition to Speedy Tuesday)!
Its great to see Hanhart getting praised and love from watch experts and lovers, the Hanhart 417 ES panda is just a great, beautiful watch, with a Collum wheel Flyback chronograph functions. And its my favorite watch on my colllection. Thank you Teddy

In the affordable range I would have added the Orient Kamasu Panda Chrono RA-TX0203S10B. For around 350$ you get a solar movement, sapphire crystal, 200m WR, good lume and a great design

I bought the Bulova Lunar Pilot and while a well made watch it was too bulky for me and pretty unauthentic as a moon watch replica. I sold it and bought the Seiko Speedtimer, another well built watch and looked and felt great. The only problem was in most light conditions the hands disappeared into the face. I’d have to pull out my reading glasses to see the time. Sorry to see it go. Chronographs are really enhanced man jewelry. I’m now looking for a clean looking quality watch that just tells the time. Awesome videos, much appreciated.
I don’t care much for adding a chronograph in my collection, but something about the Zenith A384 just speaks to me. The AP RO Chronograph as well. Must be the circle-inside-a-square look. Just love it.
Teddy, you totally missed the Citizen CB5874-90A. Completely the same build quality and aesthetics of the Seiko at half the price, but in addition to solar technology it also includes an antenna for the atomic clock in Denver, so you never need to adjust for daylight savings time or on a leap year. Full sapphire crystal and a better band, in my opinion, then the sago.
I love the looks of the Hamilton, but it wears very thick. I got a Hanhart 39mm reverse panda. I have not regretted it. It is surprisingly compact and wears relatively thin for a chrono. I like the distinctive aesthetic of this watch. Also have an SBTR Seiko. It has become my daily.

Me too, but cannot get past the thickness. I have a few modern Hamiltons, and bought the Khaki aviation which is still thick, but designed and sits really well on my wrist.
My son and I are building our watch collection, as we start looking above the $1000 and $2000 range the Hamilton Intra Matic Chronograph Blue Dial panda catches our eye, Hamilton because Grandpa was born in Lancaster County PA and I love the 40mm case size and the Blue Dial is different 😎
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the amzwatch, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
Honestly, the Hanhart one looks really clean and unique. Definitely interested to see more on that. I also like the Tudor a lot but wish it had all the features of the Inter Miami edition but with the original dial.

My Panda of choice (albeit not strictly traditional) is the Zenith Chronomaster Sport with the white dial and tri-color sub dials. I've been a fan of the El Primero since I got into automatic watches back in the 90's (boy I'm old) and, now that I finally have my Omega Worldtimer, I'm saving my pennies.
Excellent summary, Teddy! I own a Seiko Speedtimer with panda dial and I really love it! I hope, you will make a review soon about Tissot's new chronographs as well.
Hamilton was actually only really involved in the "Project 99" automatic chronograph development because they bought out Büren, which was providing the micro-rotor automatic movement that the partnership were using in what would become the Calibre 11. They used far fewer of the movements than Heuer and Breitling did, though both blue and cream 11002s are fine-looking watches. Worth reading Jeff Stein's articles detailing Project 99 and its development.
Great video with some wide ranging choices. You mentioned the Seiko Speedtimer being quite a small watch, I found that trying one on and then they released the Go Large version SSC911 which was much more legible for those with aging eyesight! I love the Hamilton Intra-Matic but I think the only one missing from this collection is a Tag Heuer Autavia Chronograph with White or Silver dial. She's a beauty!
I have the Seiko Speedtimer. Love it, with exceptions - the nearly useless 24 hour subdial, the almost unreadable minute subdial, and the Full-Empty charge meter which never seems to move off 50%. Still, great look & feel.
Should have held out for the Seiko SSC911 Go Large. 41.4mm and likely to be my next purchase, unless something else takes my fancy.... something pricier perhaps. Tag Heuer Autavia or perhaps the Hamilton Intra-Matic. Lovely watches one and all. I quite like the Tudor but dislike the snowflake hour hand, always have!
Actually, for me, the smaller size is exactly what I wanted. I do, however, like the pop of red on the 911. If you are considering the Seiko beware that some people have trouble sizing the bracelet due to only 2 microadjusts.
Great review! I have the 2019 Zenith El Primero Panda Chrono with the Factory Black Leather. Is very compact and wears amazing. It’s so comfortable and gorgeous.

The best quartz panda chrono is Alpina Alpiner Chronograph - AL-373SB4E6B. There is no competition in terms of quality and finishing. RRP - 1150 USD but you can find it cheaper - around 700-800 USD. Thanks. 👌🏻
For those not satisfied with Seiko SS813's relatively dim and sporadic lume (which is rather surprising for a Seiko watch), SSC 911 would be a great choice. I owned both watches for a while but I ended up selling the 813 just due to the lume situation.
Couldn't be happier with my Citizen CB5874-90A. Solar powered, atomic timekeeping so you won't find a more accurate watch, 24 time zones, perpetual calendar... oh and the watch and bracelet are beautiful! All for about $300.
And the winner is...Hanhart. The only flyback of the entire 19 collection as shown - great for your navigation in the air, or for timing a random person's 50m laps (by consent) at the local pool. Awesome watches in this video

A few good ones missed imo. Christopher Ward Valour especially as there was quite a price jump. I think the Forza Enduro and Yema Rally should be there. Honourable mention would be studio underdog. If had to pick one shown then prob the Hanhart

I've tried on that Vacheron Overseas panda. So comfortable. Such a sharp watch.
Cost aside, the Seiko looks the best to me. Especially for a 6.5 inch wrist.
I wish it was thinner considering its quartz. I say this cause my citizen chrono doesnt look as good, but is thin and wears so good.
Teddy check out the Yema Rallygraph. It’s a fantastic quartz chronograph for the price, and it has an interesting history
The Tonga is spectacular. I love the case design. I also love the Tudor, which is much more attainable.

The reverse panda has always been my preference the 70s Heuer 1163 being the pinocle.
Seiko SSB429P1. Good mechaquartz option for in the range of $200. My current daily office wear.
The Omega CK2998 limited edition from 2019 was a good panda style chronograph as well.
I wanted a solar quartz in my collection so I opted for the newer Orient Mako Chronos! It was either between that or the SSC911 for me.
