Hello, a loyal follower of the channel here. I'd like to thank you for featuring the budget friendly watches. You basically prove that you do not need to own high-end pieces to own a nice, quality, chic collection. Please never stop this editorial. Thanks again and best regards from Turkey.
At the time of the year when my TH-cam feed is overflowing with 11.11 videos, I really admire that you take the other route and feature good value watches from companies that don't make a living from copy/paste and questionable shipping fees.
Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to share these great alternatives with us all. I do like the Timex watches you show, but the Orient option is also attractive. Much appreciated.
You know, I bought a nice Timex in Montreal recently. Had something to do with the tides or something. 😝 Looked great at the airport, loved it but after getting home after a couple of days I looked at it and just couldn't get over it was a Timex...Geez,I never thought myself as a snob..😣
Fair play Barbs. Your videos have been first class and I've thoroughly enjoyed them. No doubt you'll have many great things left to see and say. See you in the next one!
These are all great choices. The Glycine seems a bit large for me personally but has a really nice layout. Those two Timexes have great vintage vibes and value. And leave it to Orient to show Seiko how to make value watch. Not sure I'd call the Citizen a Daytona alternative even with a Panda dial but it's still a nice Chrono. And there is a cool factor to Bullheads. In defense of Pagani Design, their Longines Spirit homages (PD1717) are actually some decent values and homages.
You should add the alpha Daytona chrono, cream dial with steel bezel, bought this one 3 years ago with a hesalite bubble crystal, on a rallye leather brown strap, a pure 70.s style beauty for less than 200$ bucks with a manual st19. Still runs a +2s/day today. 👍
Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops!MAMACOO watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.
In my opinion, the reverse panda Q Timex chrono looks the best, is extremely affordable, and hides the date window the best of all the options here. Thanks for the list!! If you're willing to spend $100 - 200 more (you can find them for $350 - 450 all over the secondary markets), the Seiko Speedtimers are fantastic options as well.
This is becoming one of the most important and well produced channels in the landscape. Excellent reviews. I have a Mako green face already and was considering the Seiko silver dial panda. Can I justify two Mako’s? It’s a cracking watch and this video is now just adding to my confusion.
Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops!AMZWATCH watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.
MAMACOO is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!
Given that most of us will never own a Daytona for different reasons, these are very nice options without trying emulating having one, my choice would fall on the glycine as for the specs is a great value for money, the timex is a very good looking piece and so is the orient, wish they made that glycine smaller though, thank you for the comparison, it's always very interesting see them side by side
The Glycine is the best looking in my eyes. But I prefer a smoother sweep on the chrono hand. This will be a hard choice. Thanks for the content, as always!
As a watch enthusiast with NO budget, thank you MAMACOO for great-looking mechanical watches that I can afford! their are very clean, classy look, $150 each. I still watch videos about expensive “proper” watches, but I enjoy what I have
Just ordered the Orient, but that Glycine is a beauty. The solar charging of the Orient won me over though. Several of these with serious Speedmaster vibes.
Subscribed to your channel after watching a few times. Very good indeed so thank you! I've got a couple of Daytona pandas' but they're all 39mm-40mm, way too small for me. Think I'll order the Glycine (sp)? Does any other Daytona Panda come to mind for great value around the 42mm size? No big deal but if one does. Thank you,I'll continue to watch!
I have the glycine red reverse panda. Yes, it would be better if it would be only 40m. After I watched your first video with the citizen bullhead, i immediately bought that from eBay. I have to say I wear that one more often then my omega speedmaster
The timex marlin even tho the specs are not that high it’s growing on me, looks gorgeous and it’s cheap, mmm should i get it i got an offer about 150 usd
Is that Marlin face white or silver? I’m looking to buy this watch but the face looks like brushed silver on Timex’s website, although it looks more white in your video..?
Definitely the most interesting & informative channel in TH-cam,and I am your fan! I’ve been watching MAMACOO and buying them recently to complement my watch collection. Good video
Glycine is my pic. I've got an 8.75 inch wrist and I hide a 12oz can in my hand. I can get away with some huge watches and it doesn't look out of place. Second pic is the reverse panda
Yeah that one was a cracker for the money and great options to chose from In terms of colours, I reached out to glycine and they said it’s been discontinued with no plans for more, very disappointing.
@@BraveBeaters just double-checked, there are watches but this exact glycine model is out of stock everywhere i saw, i even searched on google and the one on ebay was but of stock also. But its alright i’ll just wait for a restock if it comes

Great video as usual my friend. Really loving the Glycine. By the way, what is the music you used for this video? It's the perfect background sound. Drew me right in 😊.
Hello, and thanks for this vid. Even if it is a quartz, the bull head chrono by Citizen is quite interesting. Thank you for introducing me to this watch that I didn't know about. And, about panda chronos, you also have, for exemple, the automatic Baltic Tricompax or the meca quartz Nivada Grenchen Chronoking.
The citizen is the BEST!!!, the other ones do not count twelve hours in the chrono. Just only the same movement counting 24 hours…. Forget it the other ones are the same than…. Pagani, so ….. you should know this and explained to the people….😂
"No pagani designs around here" - I believe this is a huge mistake. I own two of them (both bought for around $100 and less) which are of great build quality and they BOTH run at -3 + 3 seconds a day accuracy! If you can show me a watch for the same price (or around that) with better features and better or the same accuracy, I am all ears?
I like the orient the most. The movement is very smooth

Honestly dude, your videos are so high spec, thank you for all the hard work.
Thank you :)
I like Glycine.
Hands looks more visible than on many panda homages and finally a quartz chrono without useless 24h subdial.
Fully agree, I find it well balanced, features and design wise.
I'd really like one, but can't seem to find them in stock anywhere... really sucks

Those Timex watches doing good job 🤔

This video is pure gold. I will definitely be subscribing.
I have the Timex Marlin in green, it's absolutely beautiful, highly recommend
I still remember the 1st video you posted on the Orient Chrono. I still need to bet it. I fell in love with that watch
haha! Cheers! :)
That vintage looking Timex looked good in the vintage Corvette.
ahah! true :D

What was the white rubber strap on the orient? What a combo that was.

Timex has had all my favorite releases this year
They are killing it lately, Agree :)
As a proud orient owner this watch, white leather band, beautiful.

I feel you I wish they will release a smaller version as well. The design is spot on!!
Yes, the Glycine has a nice design language. But it looks a bit bulky.
Glycine is swiss made
Excellent options. Nice video
I have the Timex and its honestly my favourite watch out of all my collection because I can wear it everyday
Strong muscles Dude. 💪 The five watches together: best selection.
Excuse me, which strap is the one at 1:37? Looks like a really nice light grey tropical strap? Which is the brand of the strap please?

I think this particular model is out of stock
The Glycine is the best looking in my eyes. But I prefer a smoother sweep on the chrono hand. This will be a hard choice.

Agree. Also the size should be considered as well.
My favorite Daytona homages under $250 are the Alpha 1993, Tactical Frog, and San Martin SN0026-G-JS.
Those are solid alternatives as well. yes :)
Lovely comparison. Could you share what brand and model the white strap you have?
Thank you! It's from 7friends&watches. But it feels to be out of stock. 7friendsandwatches.ro/pc/curele-ceas-cauciuc/
1:38 which rubber strap are you using on the Orient? Looks like a great match.
Every watch on your list is a superb pick!
Orient is truly a marvel of design! Do you see as a disadvantage having a solar mechanism?
What's the reference for the Q Chrono?
Oooof, that glycene i sooo pretty!
Great video
After waiting 10 months in europe for rhe timex Q to return to stock, i eneded fed up, and went for the REVELOT R8 Racer...no regrets.

I ordered the Orient for 220 euros. I like Glycine more but i cant find it anywhere in the EU. Timex looks also great but i want luminous indexes.
Glycine is the Winner 🏆great value for the money and the brand has a long history.
The Timex reverse panda looks the cleanest IMO. All subjective & Orient has a solid reputation for value.

Is that Marlin face white or silver? I’m looking to buy this watch but the face looks like brushed silver on Timex’s website, although it looks more white in your video..?
The True North Vintage Rally Timer is actually the best. I've bought 2 different ones and they are fantastic.
what is the lug size of orient crono? i want to change the strap

Yes, there are a lot of appealing options in this price range. Next time I will include more :)
That Glycine watch is CHF 1200 on the website - not exactly less than $250 at least form Canada that's $2000 CAD or about $1400 US
