Clarification to the scrolling text at the end. It's up to you to add or take away frames of your cycle based on your preference. I called them keyframes for some reason. Keyframes are just your strongest poses, that's all

Awesome tutorial! You're very patient in breaking down how to animate, it's a very complex process and it's nice to see someone going into such detail! 👍
Thank you! I super appreciated your keyframes episode way back when it released. Made me rethink how i was going about my animation. Happy to redirect people your way so they can benefit as well 😁
You are the best, I am learning so much for a possible custom Stop Motion series based off of Siege Ironhide, Despite its joints I like the thickness of him, makes him feel like a gentle giant
I’m probably never going to Stop-Motion animate in my entire lifetime, but I find the process really interesting so I still watch the video regardless.
"Just buy a tripod!" I lost it. I did not expect to hear it like that. Stop motion is something I've been considering now that I'm gonna be collecting figures again. Gives me something to actually do with them rather than them just standing around on my shelf.
good vid! I would say though that I probably wouldn't recommend anyone go lower than this amount of frames for a walk cycle as it seems pretty much the minimum amount to be convincing, they are all keyframes after all so take any of those poses out and you'd lose massive amounts of visual clarity in the motion.
Thank you so much for this I'm making a FNAF security breach 20min stop motion film for a school movie project and this is vary helpful because I bought a security breach Funko set and this video playlist is a life saver
Stop motion definitely seems geared more for straight ahead animation. Where you just keep going forward with the movement of the figure. In traditional keyframe animation you do the main 3 key frames first and go back and do the in betweens, or "tweens" as they are called in the industry. I havent had a chance to do any stop motion in a long time, but Id to experiment with that.
So if you are planning on doing a transformation video, I would like to see how to do transformations for flying characters as there are seekers that would typically be in a stop motion and only ever seeing their jet form and then later seeing their robot form just feels wrong without a transformation by them for an entire series
Hey there TLER! Another great vid! My kids are really looking forward to the running and flying tutorials (and me too). Maybe since a lot of us make our stop motion look like ice skating, you could do a skit with the autobots and deceptions playing hockey. Lol, just a silly idea. We’d like to send you some our stop motion skits and are wondering how we could send them your way. Keep up the good work! - the Triplechangers
You caught my question at the end. How do you get them to jump, fly, and run? Fishing wire? I do enjoy your stop-motions a lot. My attempts are quite amateur in comparison.
I heard that kingdom Optimus is about 1;87 scale. I wanted to check that. Now obviously I'm not gonna make someone take time out of their day to buy something for a question, Soo I did it myself! The proportions are wierd but this is it: (about) 2.6 inches length, 1 inchen width, and 1 1/4 inxhes tall.
Hey, you reckon that you've got a solution for animating PoTP Elita-1? Her legs have a mechanism that lock her thighs to her calves that unclips and reclips at the slightest provocation, and I don't want to screw up an animation if her leg ends up doing that in the middle of a scene.
Yaassssss! I said before how I have a figure that has horrible leg articulation but I do have voltron lions that I can use this video to help me a bit when I make them walk. It can also be useful to me cuz I’m thinking of getting earth rise or kingdom leader Optimus soon. (doesn’t really matter which since it’s the same figure but different box)

This tutorial made me learn how to Make figures walk, and it gave me another reason to get kingdom inferno

I've been trying to watch tutorials but it hasn't really worked, but with you explaining it I think I got it. Thank you.

I needed these tutorials on making cohesive stop motions. Thank you.
Quite possibly the BEST figure to practice with is gonna be LegEVO Tarn. He’s got an unholy amount of pose-ability!

Now I can make a proper walk cycle! Thanks, Lazy!
In the stock footage walk at the start, idk if the arm is moving with the legs, or if it’s moving in the opposite, that’s trippy
This is really helpful! I have been trying to look for stop motion walking animations for transformers. And MegaMan has the best music.

2nd! Hehe I'm also making some stop motion myself so this will be a big help 🙂
I’ll put this into practice this weekend. Thanks 🙏
I think what lazy doing is right he is teaching others to start their career
I'm getting my studio set up and more serious, and this will help my animating skills immensely. Thank you! Also I BOUGHT A TRIOPD-
I'll be honest eyebrow I done some stopmotion and some animation at my last school and I suggested my photo class the topic.
Thank you so much I’ve been looking for a good video to help me try and get figures to walk for my stop motion

I’m relying on these videos to teach me how to animate lol. Thank you so much!!!

Ah yes, g1 rodimus, the least articulate figure ever, hence why I used him
Thanks for the tutorial I'm kind of a beginner and want to animate my transformers because of you : )
I’ll try do the power of prime beachcomber
I really hope this series continues. It's really helpful, also hope you cover how to do a transformation.
It's also on the to do list, as is mimicking motion and anything I feel should be covered/is suggested
Thanks
