I used to make Transformers and Lego stop motion videos in high school (haven't had time since) and by far my biggest challenge was always keeping the camera and the base I had my figures on still between shots and I can't believe I never thought of using a shutter remote, that would've helped so much!

that's the same app i used to make a student film project a while back. Funny story idk if the app still does this but the longer the video was it would just drop frames when playing back in the editor, you had to actually load the full video to watch in the intended fps. I didn't know this and was about at the halfway point when i noticed it looked quite choppy, and thought this was because i was rushing and working very hastily, so i started to animate with a little more care and smaller intervals as well as adding new scenes with slower motions. Every time i'd play it back of course, it'd still look choppy so i kept trying to be smoother and smoother until one time i played it back and KNEW i filmed smoother than what i was watching. Then i figured out how to properly play it back and watched the animation steeply improve as the film went on

That cannon can connect to your phone or tablet and you can use your phone to snap the pics as well as have the pics store directly into it the phone and if you have your phone or tablet setup with cloud those can online storage placed into your laptop, considering pictures and size you should not go over your allotted storage with some being 50 to 120 gigs. There are 3 main ways with a 4th being in a higher tier camera First thru a router/wifi connection 2 the camera becomes the router/wifi and you directly connect that way if the device is close then faster remote method 3. Hardline, there is a cable plug in on the side of the camera. 4. Not on your camera model but the next newer version is Bluetooth, in fact the only change was adding that and at the time for me a difference of 200USD...

I'd really like to try doing some stop-motion, but had no idea how involved it was until watching this. This is going to be some great learning shortcuts (now I know, and knowing is half the battle, yo joe!). This might sound really obvious, but how do you stabilise the TOY for transformation shots? Especially mid-transformation; some of yours (e.g. IDW Drift) seemed to be mid-air.
