this was a great video, very informative. but you didn't mention one thing, which when an object moves fast enough and stops just as quickly, it doesn't just stop where you want it, the energy used pushes it slightly past the point wanted before it sort of snaps back. so if you want the motion to look more real, you need that tapering of energy where the thing moves slightly past the point, (unless it hit something and the energy goes somewhere else) and then goes back where you want.
Meet the master!!!!! This is the dude right here, welcome to the university of stop motion tutorials!!! There is no other than The Lazy Eyebrow, shout out to him!
Great job lazy, your disclaimer at the beginning has me in a loop from watching the first video, reevaluating my life, thinking about tri pods, and going back to this video Update: I have a tri pod so I can now watch this video
I always had trouble making a constant stop motion scene and never realized stop motion studios had that onion skin feature, Thanks a ton Lazy EyeBrow!
Well to start, nice Evo and two this is something I really wanted to learn how to achieve because well, for me when I am doing stop motion driving scenes it really never looks smooth or consistent so thanks!
I do make my own stop motion videos on my channel but I definitely need to work on controlling the speed or a car or a truck so that they don’t speed up out of nowhere, this video was very helpful
Thank you sir for these lessons I'm also making a stop motion film and this video helped me greatly. Thank you very much🙏🙏🙏🙏 Would like a video on ariel shots Love your videos btw
Hi lazy eyebrow..i am working on some simple stop motion project...it is not perfect since i am a beginner...can you show us how to fill sound fx to make it more complete and also what apps you using to add the sound fx...also where to download sound fx of transformation , laser shots, explosion, crashing, vehicle etc..thanks a lot ..u r the best 👍
Great video lazy eyebrow!!! I learned something new and will defiantly start playing the phase in phase out method. That is useful for me!!! Thank you! Keep up the awesome work!!!
lookin for the next video, Im a hard core collector/ professional voice and film actor and would love to use my film school knowledge in stop motion with my favorite collection of TFs. (they didnt teach stop motion in film school) So here I am tryin to learn the techniques needed to make my Bots fluid and awesome.
ANOTHER F****** GREAT VIDEO MAN I realy love your reciations of G1 transitions, and this is video basically is a great way to teach how a stop motion need to have a reference of the movement I will recriate the transitions of the anime "Saint Seiya" like you do Great video man,lov u
The tutorial for that has been filmed. But I'm doing this in a chronological order so that people watching this later in a playlist can view it in a logical way
@@TheLazyEyebrow yup, cuz I've been thinking how I could make earhtirse and siege and studio series and whatnot almost perfect, and my biggest complaint is scale
@@TheLazyEyebrow that's what I thought, because after looking at the animation model, grapple and inferno definitely compress, and because of that there robot modes should be the same (height) as. Optimus, but probably different sizes, width and depth
Ya know what's great, this is just generally REALLY helpful animation general information. Look up the 12 principles of animation, yep. This is Start, stop.
In physics it's called frame of reference Like the jet is going 690 mph The car is going 40 mph And the human is not moving at all And it all depends on the view point
TBH the way I film a tripod just gets in the way, so uh... no. I say this from experience, I DO own a couple of tripods... but they just make my setup more of a hassle than it needs to be. Think that probably looks bad? Check my vids and judge for yourself. Also I am glad you at least brought up doing variances with snappy motion since that's more or less one of the most distinctive things about japanese animation style that I feel is somewhat overlooked when attempting to replicate. The flow of energy in most anime is focused more on having more frames for the start and/or end of a given motion, which is what gives it that distinctive style of motion it has.

The return of my beloved Evo. Keep up the good work Lazy Eyebrow :)
This has been the best and easiest way that I could understand the ease in and out process. Thank you!
So the morale of the story is “onions have layers?”
