I think you should do another showcase on her she can do outstanding damage. When playing her all you need to do is build one orb and then get hit with big damage from a boss. She just needs a revival pod and burst symbol when she does drop to 1 hp initiate a chain attack. The most damage I've done with her is 490k that's only at S trust im pretty sure she can do much more. It can be tricky at first but very rewarding.
It’s actually possible to get a unique blade with common cores! I was using up all my common cores to farm for boosters and for stock blades for the merc missions, but then I got Azami after the tenth core. I suppose rare cores just give you a better chance to get uniques, or maybe better blades.
You can grind for them by killing tolen krabbles You have to salvage them in the lower levels of Mor Ardain in Port Anangham. You can also use normal cylinders so getting 99 normal cylinders would be recommended if you could afford it.
(Still on chapter 5 lv44) personally specialize in ether cannon. I have 3 aux cores for Sheba, one increases chance of evasion by ranged attacks(30%) one reduces aggro drawn from auto-attacks(25%) and one increases damage by 30% when hp is 90% or higher. I try to keep myself at full hp in order to make full use of desert bomb and keep auto attack damage high. I use arcanum cannon, which has a special affect that increases dexterity by 50, but increase auto attack damage by a lot. I don’t usually make use of pouch items, which I really should now that I think about it. Anyway, auto attack damage is on average in the 1000+, reaching 2000 depending on enemy. It’s easy to make use of Sheba early on in the game, so I thought I’d share what I personally due. I think the core chip can be improved upon thou, and utilizing the pouch items is something you should due
I got Azami on Nia.She has two healers and azami as attacker.She switches over to her,if no healing is neaded.Im still not much fiddling around which blade goes to which driver,because i dont know if i want to keep them or if i find more appealing rare blades.^^ But Rex has 3 attackers and its kinda sad but i switched tora out with someone else already.
Considering she gets most of her buffs from taking some damage, I'm thinking of Overdriving her to Morag, since she is the 2nd best in Ether, and she'll be taking damage anyway as a tank....
If you do more of these, could you try prioritizing optional blades everyone gets through the story or sidequests, like the beastly core's blade. It seems like that would hit the widest initial audience. But make sure to save room for Poppi.
Nn Li i blew through ~40 normal cores now. Got 2 uniques, one on Rex, one on the catgirl. No boosters. Cores were acquired mostly through salvaging and killing mobs while exploring. I didn't really grind anything, though (salvaging was just for cash to buy out stores and stuff).

Btw you can start grinding for common and rare cores once you reach chapter 4

I unlocked Azami by bonding a rare core crystal with Morag. But she also has Perceval and Kasandra.
