    Oh dear, you've left off a lot of Australia! You're obviously really into your beaches so I'm surprised the Great Ocean Road hasn't made it as a must see. The Blue Mountains are incredible and you haven't been to Tassie yet? Arguably some of the most beautiful wilderness in the world but maybe you guys are not into hiking so I get it. Great videos tho and your drone work is wonderful.

    Hi guys. Another great video. I’m slowly working through your Ozzie clips. As a Yorkshire family living in Sydney, we’ve bought a caravan and started doing some big trips around Oz. Your videos have been a great source of info. Must admit though, the Devon and Cornwall clips are making us homesick 😂 Got yourselves another subscriber 👍

      Well hello there! Lovely to have you onboard 😁 we have been totally encapsulated with the beauty of Cornwall this time round. Even though Charlotte grew up there and we have lived there many times over the years, it has been an amazing summer so far and you can see why people travel from far and wide to visit.
      As you probably know we have a huge back catalogue of australia content! So feel free to ask any questions you have in the comments of any particular video and we will do our best to answer them for you!
      When we completed our ‘Big Lap’ we didn’t travel by caravan, we had a Toyota Corolla with a rooftop tent 😬 wouldn’t recommend if we’re being completely honest! 😂 but we did manage to travel an incredible distance while keeping the costs relatively low 😉

    • @ayup4x460
      @ayup4x460 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kudos to you for doing the lap in a Corolla. I thought we were brave touring in a 15 year old Toyota Prado😂 As you say it’s all about keeping the costs low👍 Your trip to the Eyre Peninsula looks great. We’re looking at heading out there in March. Fingers crossed we get some decent weather. I know how much work goes into these videos Guys,so really appreciate your efforts 👌

      @@ayup4x460 oh nice one! Thank you 🙏🏼 we thought it was a great idea at the start but then as the trip went on we realised that we should have done it in a van or with a camper trailer. I’m sure you’ll be fine in that Prado! Toyota’s never break 😂 they say that the best time to travel in Aus is April, so the weather might just be perfect for you in March 🤞🏼 we will continue to cover our adventures around the globe, we really do enjoy making these videos! 😁

    • @ayup4x460
      @ayup4x460 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is true what they say about Toyotas being ultra reliable, but like any vehicle once it reaches a certain Km’s on the clock, you have to be gentle with it😂 You gotta follow that dream, so keep putting out the content. Do you both have media experience? As you come across as very natural on camera👍 Did you do a vid on Sydney? We’re wondering what is out there that we don’t know about 😂

    • @cjexplores
      @cjexplores  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ayup4x460 this is true, be gentle with the old girl 😂 🚙
      We don’t have any media experience, just what we’ve managed to create for our various social media channels. And I guess years of geeking out with all of the latest technology I could get my hands on.
      We do have a travel vlog from Sydney when we got to Aus in March 2020 after the world got put on pause. It’s quite old though now so might not be quite up to the standard you see in our latest efforts 😅 nonetheless there might be some value in it for you ✌🏼

    Hi guys I've been loving your videos!
    My boyfriend and I are moving to Perth really soon so its Been exciting to get a look at the place from your point of view! We love exploring places together too so watching your videos I can already imagine us exploring aus already hehe.
    I was wondering, have you ever considered making a video on tips and tricks for living in Australia?
    For example; Stuff like information about best places to live, or what jobs are common in different areas of Australia, hacks for traveling Australia, or just what the situation is like renting a place/ aprox prices of rent, etc. or just things you wish you knew when first coming to Australia that made your lives easier :)
    I would find anything in that direction super helpful! especial from both of your point of view living and working together as a couple!
    greetings from Germany and England :) 💕

      aqlso just interested to know how you guys live your lifestyle, do you have your home base In Australia and travel from there or are you always only in countries for 1 year each and then move on? my bf and me are just coming to Australia after living in Cambodia (Kampot, Phnom Penh and then Siem Reap) for the past 2 & 1/2 years! hoping to get settled in Australia, if all goes well :) x

    • @cjexplores
      @cjexplores  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rosaliemf6248 hi there Rosalie 👋🏼 we are so happy that you’re finding our videos so helpful! We actually haven’t thought of making those kind of videos but it definitely would help a lot of people I’m sure! We currently have so much content to edit that we probably wouldn’t attempt this for a wee while. but maybe in the winter when our travel content dries up 😉
      All of our Australian content was captured on the weekends to begin with (while we both had full time jobs), but then once we begun our big lap we were travelling full time. We stopped in Perth to work over the summer holidays (thought it would be best as the campsites would be full of families) and we were able to do some housesitting which was really nice actually. Just looking after peoples homes and pets 🐶 and then we completed our big lap all the back to the Gold Coast. It was super hard work. Our setup did not accommodate the kind of work we wanted to do on the road, working on a laptop in a rooftop tent in the Australian heat was less than ideal! We would have much preferred a van or a camp trailer.
      Right now we are focussing all of our attention on making our TH-cam channel the best it can be. Our home base is in Cornwall, UK and we will travel through Europe as long as we can afford to! We are contemplating our next adventure being somewhere a bit cheaper, maybe back to Cambodia/Vietnam/Thailand. We loved it when we visited these places before so we really want to return and create some super high quality travel guides for the region.
      If you have more detailed questions about your move to Australia send us a DM on Instagram and we will do our best to help you further 😉 we are happy to have you onboard on TH-cam journey nonetheless and hope to continue bringing you decent travel content ✌🏼😊✌🏼

    Hello again,C. J. Explores: After watching your Australia video again, I have just seen another landmark in your episode that I recognize - Over on Rottnest Island. I am aware I may freak you guys out with my memory, but the aerial view I saw of the beach, with, I think,a lighthouse in the foreground. I may be wrong when I say this, but I think that beach may well have been used as a location in the Australian soap opera, Home And Away, back in the years 2008&2009. Back then,they had a storyline involving 2 teenagers,who got stranded on an island,off the Australian coast and the aerial view, your one, looks like the same aerial view I saw on home and away at that time! Also: the clump of rocks, visible to the left, I remember, looks familiar when the search and rescue helicopter team travelled across to rescue the teenagers.

    • @cjexplores
      @cjexplores  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi again!! 🤩 amazing memory! 🙌🏼 I wonder if they would of shot that on the East Coast closer to their other filming locations? I’m sure you could find out with a little bit of digging!

      @angusrobertsonpianist ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@cjexplores Maybe!In their aerial views, I remember you couldn't make out the cafes I think you mentioned:All you really saw, location wise on the island, was the beach. I can't remember the lighthouse, though they might have edited that out somehow, which would make sense, actually,if you are going to use the island for a survival storyline that home and away did. I know I might be stating the obvious here, but there would be no survival storyline, with no chance of immediate rescue,if H&A kept the lighthouse in it. I will do some research sometime,sure!👍😀

    A very well documented Australian travel programme,guys! The Whitsunday Islands look absolutely stunning. Litchfield National Park looks familiar to me,as I remember a film I saw 20 years ago called Kangaroo Jack had a scene filmed at that Park, I think - Was about 2/3rds of the way through. Did you see Hinchinbrook Island or The King's Canyon when you were out there?

Just had lunch and a drink with a view of the island 😊 King’s Canyon eluded us too, was that on a 4WD track maybe?

      I bet the view of Hinchinbrook Island🏝️ must have been fabulous: Might I be right in thinking that the island may be close to the Whitsunday Islands🏝️🏝️?
      I don't know if King's👑 Canyon is on a 4WD track, but again, in the film I mentioned, King's Canyon was mentioned in the film:There may even have been a view of it,too.
      Just out of interest,when you were Down Under,as Australia🇦🇺🌏 is sometimes termed,did you visit Ayer's Rock& Sydney?Truth be told, I wanted to visit Australia for my 30th birthday back in the year 2010,&wanted to visit Ayer's Rock,where I heard advertised in a travel book a Sounds Of Silence dinner, where you would enjoy a typical Aussie dinner in the desert under the stars, with music coming from a didgeridoo!&I also wanted to visit the sites where Home And Away, the Aussie soap opera,is filmed. • @cjexplores
      @cjexplores  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Kim 👋🏼 thanks for your message! Australia isn’t a place which is necessarily cheap… but you can certainly find some bargains if you’re willing to compromise on comforts. For example a week in a Holiday Park out of high season can be quite reasonable and you will have a lot of kid friendly activities included. The Gold Coast is a wonderful place to visit with its safer beaches and theme parks for kids. It can be expensive but if you are adventurous you could find yourself exploring the national parks and beaches with packed lunches for a relatively low cost. Everywhere worth visiting will have a holiday park nearby, just check to see which amenities are available in the months you wish to visit 😊 wishing you a wonderful trip!
