@@cjexplores that’s great you’re going to see about a dog, and a rescue one is a great idea! 🐶 glad you’re enjoying you’re time in the Gold Coast too 🤩
I’m very surprised you decided to make the Gold Coast your home and not somewhere a bit quieter. I suppose because it’s quite central to everything there. I know you absolutely loved WA but it’s a long way from everything. Welcome back you guys!! 😁👍🇦🇺
Depends on what you're looking for! It's quite family friendly etc and a lot of fun but I'm not sure which city would say is the best. Sydney is great for tourists, Melbourne has a really fun creative scene, Perth is quieter and close to amazing beaches. Darwin is affordable and a pretty cool place as well.
Hey guys, can I ask why you decided Gold Coast over Perth? We are thinking of moving to either Perth or Gold Coast but very torn between the two. Could you compare them? Love your videos.
@@KenzoTenmaM hi Dr Kenzo 👋🏼 of course. Perth is fantastic as well. It’s located on the river not quite on the coast, a little bit like Brisbane. Except the beaches near Perth are much nicer! Gold Coast has much more infrastructure than Perth I would say, it’s been established for a longer time and is really well developed. You will certainly get more bang for your buck over in Perth in terms of house prices - that’s whether you’re buying or renting. If that doesn’t concern you and you want a busier lifestyle then Gold Coast would certainly work for you. If you like things a little bit quieter, want to save some money and don’t mind being more than a few hours flight away from the nearest major city then Perth could be the pick! Hope this helps!
@@cjexplores I have been living in Perth for 2.5 years now and I think the local mentality here is isolated. I`ve been in Brisbane and Gold Coast for 2 months and was able to connect with ppl straight away

Thank you for your very informative videos! I'm thinking of studying in Gold Coast, do you know if we can afford to live there with only a part time job? Approximately how much money should we earn to live on?
Hi Sophie 👋🏼 there’s a lot of great Facebook groups which can help you find rooms/houses/apartments to live in on the Gold Coast. There you will get an idea of the current rental prices. A room in a shared house is obviously the cheapest way to go and you could find yourself living with other students in an area close to your uni of choice. In terms of money, I think you could get by on a part time job. I certainly did when I was living in Brisbane when I first moved here. The wages in Australia are very good and they pay extra for night time and weekend work. If you want to make it happen I’m sure you can Sophie!!
The end of Gold coast you showed is a retirement home. Although its slowly been taken away by elitists and hippies and the desperate tradies battling eachother for business so the prices for services are super low relative to Sydney and Melbourne.
What about rental and houses/apartments prices?(rent and buy) it’s exorbitant!! I don’t get how a single person can afford to live there if not in shared house 😞

If I settle down in the Gold Coast, how much US dollars will it cost to invest in a property?
Not sure too much on that but average houses around Gold Coast now cost $1m+ AUD
$500k USD might get you a 1 bedroom unit.
Houses now well over $800k USD. Water front property $2m plus USD
