Folks! A taste of Australia and the many possibilities for your next holiday. More to come in part 2 and if you have any particular favourites you can let me know in the comments below 😎✌🏾
totally unrelated subject.... now that both Australian continent and California are being subjected to drastic precipitation, do you see these seemingly perpetual arid regions becoming more florid and verdant?
The most beautiful aspect about Australia is how unique and spectacular eveything is. The flaura fauna and landscape are breathtaking and greatly untouched. ❤
Tip; when you visit Sydney forget about going to Bondi beach. It's one of the smallest most overrated and over crowded beach in Sydney that usually attracts only the look at me I wanna be seen or drunk international backpackers. If you want the true Sydney beach experience there are endless often empty long sandy surf beaches in northern and southern Sydney or even better just down the road in Wollongong.
@@gregoryjohn4 Maybe if you're a learner driver and restricted to 80k's or stuck in peak hour Sydney traffic. For the rest of us it's 40 minutes straight down the freeway to Wollongong city. Or just 15 minutes to Helensburgh which is the most northern suburb of Wollongong and another 10 to Stanwell Park beach, the most northern beach suburb of Wollongong.
Tip; When you eventually visit places outside of Sydney and Gangsta Paradise, better known as Melbourne, then you’ll realise that Aus has a west coast, far more spectacular than a lot of your 18 MOST Beautiful places.
Sydney otherwise known as Shelbyville, Sh'tney or Toll Road Central is by far the most overrated place in Australia. Newcastle and Wollongong are so much more interesting.
Chief - too East Coast focused - People need to know that you have missed out some of Australia's best exports and tourist locations being our wine exports - both SA and WA have some of the best wine tourist spots that both showcase very different experiences. I am SA (and wine) bias, but you can drive 90 min max in any direction from the airport and hit an abundance of wine country. But the fact you left out WA gems Perth, Fremantle, Rottnest Island and Margret River! Australia is more than the Steve Irwin, Hemsworth, surfer stereo types
From my 74 years in Australia, I would name Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) as the destination that has appealed to me the most. I would name the Great Barrier Reef but such degradation has occurred that my last visit was very saddening. Two other magic destinations for me are in Western Australia, Stirling Ranges and Fitzgerald River National Parks with their wonderful wildflowers.
Nice video, but gotta say I'm a bit disappointed, because Australia is so much more than just the east coast. You didn't have anything there on Tasmania, which is amazingly beautiful. You also missed Esperance, Cape LeGrande National Park, with Lucky Bay and Hellfire Bay WA. Margaret River WA Exmouth/Coral Bay with the Ningaloo Reef, which you don't need a boat, because it's within a few feet off the beach. Albany, where the last whaling station was, and the gorgeous Stirling Ranges WA. The magical gorges at Karijini National Park, and the Kimberley's WA. The caves of Busselton WA. And so very much more.

Nice report of our land with great video content. Much thanks. Some of these areas are really hyped-up places like Bondi, Byron Bay and Noosa. Nothing wrong with that, but just around the corners of these areas are breathtaking gems for those that want to explore and find them (for example Broken Head near Byron). And K'gari is the true name of Fraser Island. The Fraser name is best removed from this island because of the woman it is named after and her disastrous lies that resulted in the slaughter of many Butchulla people. To call it Fraser Island is like an ongoing insult to these traditional owners. All that aside, you made a beautiful presentation.
It is interesting that your video editor chose to inset 15 seconds of video in reverse. It that to test who is REALLY watching? See timestamp 8:09 to 8:24 the Great Ocean Road. These places in this video are just the very tip of the iceburg of what you should see.
Only 1 Western Australian destination! Ridiculous! Check out Bill Bailey's recent UK special where he commented if you thought Australia was great and its major attractions mainly centred on the eastern side then think again. WA being 1/3 the size of Oz has an incredible number of equally or more impressive attractions. It is a caravanners paradise.
We live in such an amazingly beautiful world. Makes me sad that anyone would wish to destroy the land or people with bombing and fighting. Our lineages and ancestors were simply amazing.
haha I was just scrolling to see if anyone else seen that 😂 the whole clip was in reverse. You’ll see the car is essentially reversing and you’ll notice the waves roll opposite direction. This is all because in the Southern Hemisphere everything goes in reverse - kidding. It’ll be because a filming helicopter only flew over that cliff in one direction and old mate was desperate to use it flying towards the land, and used it in reverse hoping you and I wouldn’t notice
Sydney is not the first city to bring in the new year. Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch aaaaahead in time. Also Melbourne and Sydney are in the same time zone.
Nice video but most of the destinations were based in QLD, and no mention of any places in Tasmania e.g. Cradle Mountain Nat. Park. More focus on Vic, SA and WA destinations would have been good!
Sorry Hal, this did not come across as an authentic travelers experience. Nowhere was mentioned that was not on any list of well known Australian tourist attractions. The Sunshine Coast is better than Gold Coast and the Gold Coast could never be described as tranquil. There are hundreds of beautiful places in Australia and it’s a shame others were not mentioned.
You put too much time into Queensland and NSW. Wilsons Prom in Victoria, Hobart in Tasmania, Perth in Western Australia, Cradle Mountain National Park in Tasmania the Grampians in Victoria and Port Arthur in Tasmania should have been on that list.
Wilsons Prom needs to stay a Secret. I first went there in 1964 and every School Holidays until 1971. Local Dairy Farmers would 'rest' their cows on the Prom in the off season. We would then have a "Muster" in early August to bring them back for Calfing and the re-start of the Milking season. Learned more than most about all the back corners. Love it the way it was. ....👀
That WAS NOT Australia. That was mainly the East Coast. You missed SO much, other than the usual touristy places🙄🙄 I could write a book on all the places missed, that are better🙄 Just fyi, we have a west coast too. The south west, beautiful Geographe Bay, Denmark, Walpole, Albany, Esperance, D'entrecasteaux National Park. The hills of Perth, Fremantle. 80 (that's EIGHTY) Mile Beach, The Kimberley, Pilbara, Karijini National Park, Rottnest Island and the top end... Katherine Gorge, Darwin, the gorgeous swimming holes and waterfalls of Bachelor, near Darwin. The hot springs of the north west and Northern Territory. That's just a few, there's another list for you👍👍🤣🇭🇲
OKAY! I've read most of these comments. THE NATIVES ARE POLITELY CRITICAL and FUNNY. I am an American coming for wilderness and hiking and will rent a car. I fly into Sydney. Where should I go? Ill be there for 7 days and willing to extend my time

I would not fail to expressly thank you for the kind concession at the end of each novel. I await your response. Best regards. Luigi Rinaldi
A number of questions. Why did you miss out on over one third of the continent, Western Australia and Tasmania? Why are you showing North American mountains when talking about the Blue Mountains? Why are you playing the video backwards when showing an aerial view of the Great Ocean Road?
@LifestyleHal next time you're over, hit me up. I'll take you to some unbelievable places, not on the regular maps 👍🍺🍺 might even pick up your holiday money in gold.
