There’s no one better than Floor. I’m an older guy who has listened to all kinds of rock music for more than 60 years, and she’s my favorite vocalist ever. Great reaction!
Floor is royalty. She will always take your breath away. In one of her interviews, someone suggested that she sing the Amsterdam phone book. She did. Most singers sing what they can. Floor sings whatever she wants.
Forgive the length of this post.....In my 71 years, I've listened to lieterally all of the great ones....Callas, Dion, Streisand, Caruso, Sinatra, Pavarotti....you get the idea. All genres of music, all styles or performance, and until I heard Floor sing with After Forever, Nightwish, and solo, I had never heard a singer so accomplished in technique, so deep in expression, so skilled at pulling at every emotion that you can think of, and so.....genuine. Thank you, Red, for finding everything of hers you've found. And most of all, thank you, Floor for sharing that magnificent gift you have with us mere mortals. As the song goes, "If there's a rock'n'roll heaven, you know they've got a hell of a band"....and Floor will be out front, ripping it up.
Thank you for another emotional reaction, I'm glad to see you again! The first time Floor performed this cover during the pandemic, dedicating it to her daughter, Freja. "Freja has been listening to singing Let It Go from the Disney movie, Frozen, for months. For fun and also because I miss performing for you, I decided to cover Let It Go from Frozen for all of you! Let It Go has been stuck in my head for months, so now it's your turn. ;) We added a bit of a rock & metal sound to it and gave it a bit of our own twist!" The success of the re-interpretation (in a mature note, as you well noted) of this song was so great, that Floor added it to the setlist of her solo concerts. I look forward to your next steps in this exploration!
Hi, 74 years old hippie from the Netherlands =Floor, Irene, Simone, Anneke, Dianne & Arjen(Ayreon) Country= reporting in: Hi Red, in this concert Floor shows a lot of her Music Theater Skills. After graduating from the Music Academy she studied Music Theater and Opera. It shows in her performance. She won't have any problems fitting in the cast of a Broadway Show ...!!! Hi Red .I still remember the concert well, I was lucky that Floor made three concerts out of one because of the pandemic, it was my first seated concert by the way and an unforgettable one. A couple of things: First, I think you should work your way through this entire AFAS concert. Second, a TH-cam called paashaas synced Floor's version up with the Disney animation. It's worth watching. From the AFAS concert, try "Slow, Love, Slow" which is a jazzy song from Nightwish, then "Face Your Demons" a song from Floor's days in After Forever. The entire setlist is worth watching and there's a bonus singer in there as well.
I've always felt that we listen to music to be moved. Moved to enjoy life and the moment, moved to reflect, moved to love, moved to persevere, you get the idea. As good as Floor is she seems to have an overdrive gear she goes into when she's onstage that magnifies her ability to move an audience dramatically. Her home studio cover of this song is great but this live version is noticeably more powerful. Floor is really in her element on a stage

Floor's and Hannes's 3 year old daughter had been walking around in the house for months singing this song - driving the parents nuts. ( During the covid-19 lock down).. So Floor looked into the camera and said to her fans " Now It is your turn"!! And she was right - we all hummed that song for months, after she put her version on her channel. 🤗🍒🤘🏻😘 well done again and listen and watch "Frozen 2" too!!
The original was done by a Disney Princess. Floor is a QUEEN! There's a difference.
first.. the children sung that song all day.. now our time 😈😈
Its too bad that this show is not on TH-cam and there are meanwhile only 2 left on Dailymotion (but watch them, i luckily have all of them on my HDD) but this compilation gives you a glimpse how awsome she was there, even singing german most off the time. The best part in one of the vidoes were when one other singer/songwriter meant to her something like : "Yes, that how the song was always meant to sound, but our one version was just a crappy demo tape" .

Jusr for info..watch her original studio version .thats the gest one
I must say, i think i saw that live version the first time now, but i really liked, maybe more than the studio version.
It's funny, I've never really cared for the movie and song. Then I heard that she was going to do "the song" and I said, okay... I'll give it a listen to. Well let's just say when I've watched the movie in the past, now I only can hear her! God I'm effen pathetic!😱🌹🤪
3 women you never want covering your song. Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, and Floor Jansen. Once they cover your song, you lose it forever.
"She just claimed another song..." - Doesn't Floor do it always with her covers?
Be also sure to check out Floor's version of "Into the Unknown" from Frozen II. Another song that now belongs to Floor.
Her video that she shot in her studio for this song is a little heavier and sounds so much better. This live version is too Disney. You also need to see Simone Simons sing "Part of your World" from Little Mermaid.
You must react to Barbara Streisand's "Somewhere"
Hey my favourite neighbor, as always you did a heroic job in reacting to this former disney stuff I never liked. Floor does it in a way it fits in my world. On the 1st of June I will see her live first time in Eindhoven/NL ...... and I shiver.
May I recommend another song from that amsterdam concert you just did? Take a glass of good old whiskey and sit down in a launge chair while totally be sucked into 'Slow Love Slow'

Don't forget: I am watching you.....hehe
Love this version. Floor is amazing and makes the songs her own. Her best cover (imho) is her version of Laura Fabian's Adagio. You have to check it out.... th-cam.com/video/KZRHLLM6AU4/w-d-xo.html
The Beste Zangers version is even better...
❤❤❤🎉🎉 reagir Gabriel Henrique
All credits to her little girl that wanted mama to sing it for her.. now it's ours too..
