Thank You Nan ,I seems to be making everything your making Because when I see what your doing I can’t resist Doing it too ! I have a Ton of plant based and raw food cookbooks and I mean A Ton from back in the 70’s . I have to say that Dr.Goldner’s has become my favorite! I’ve only had it for two days Lol but my shopping list is growing by leaps and bounds …… I credit you for this ! So Thank You Again . Also I want to Thank You for taking the time to replay to my /everyone’s posts , it means a lot to me ❤
Patricia, I’m impressed! You have plant based and raw food cookbooks from the 70s? You’ve been plant based for that long?! That was before there was a name for vegan🤣. I am going on seven years now as a WFPB health and wellness coach, and I’m dedicated to diet and lifestyle- I began with a Lifestyle Medical practice very soon after going plant-based myself. All of this to say that anything I can do to help or inspire others to find this great way of eating I’m happy to do. Your messages remind me that it matters. Thank you!🌻🥰🌻
@ Thank You, it started way back with Adel Davis and went from there to a model named Carol Alt and Mimi Kirk and on and on . I haven’t been plant based continuously all that time it comes and goes for sure ! I am following Fully Raw Kristina and just purchased a Nama juicer and I love it ! I make a morning smoothie from Dr. Goldner’s and make a juice later in the day . Always a large salad and night is steamed vegetables and I use rice or potatoes as a base also add chickpeas and I’m a Huge Raw Garlic fan always have been and always will be 😁 Thank You ,as always I wish you The Very Best ! Actually I’m Binge watching your videos now 😍
Some of the other things I truly Believe in are Rebounding,I use a Bellicon ,it’s great, Dry Skin Brushing I do this two thing to activate my lymphatic system I then have a BioMat that I’ve had for many years ! I am 75 and have many years on this earth to find all these things ! I did have Breast cancer in 1999 and am Grateful for everyday and always so Happy to learn new things 👍👏🙏
I like your food choices, including the willing to stay at the chickpeas, just like Dr. Goldner. Hyper nourishing, with some cooked foods thrown in among the raw.👌👍👏. That’s what I find works best for me. I am joining her 6 week January 24 Rapid Recovery, and if the labs are all good by then, I’m not sure if for that six weeks I will be on step down, or her high raw Goodbye Lupus protocol. Well, I enjoy catching up with you, I’m leaving my sauna now, showering with cold water outside, and then taking off for my long morning bike ride. Have a great day or whatever is left in your part of the world. So your bing watching my videos? Thank you for the acknowledgment. I’ve done the same with Dr. Goldner, and anyone else who inspires me. I take that as a great compliment. Be sure to stay in touch, I’d like your opinion opinions. 🌻🥰🌻
@@purityandplants I’m not sure if I’m getting used to it, or there’s something about the tartness of the berries and cardamom, but it’s tasting very mild to me at the moment. I think ginger is always good to mask the heat of cruciferous vegetables too.
Thanks Nan for doing these recipes , very helpful for us wanting to learn about raw foods. You have opened my eyes to raw food and made it not so intimidating. This series is excellent Dr G is amazing. Hope there is more to come.
I’m so glad that you wrote Roland. When I know that’s some thing I’m doing as valuable, I tend to continue to do it, so thank you. Keep watching, and stay in touch. 🌻🥰🌻
I have all of Dr. Goldner's books and Thomas's book as well. Love her recipes. Thanks for demonstrating the recipe. You look amazingly healthy. You always look so put together. Do you always dress up or just for videos.im thinking I might have to step up my daily dressing because you inspire me to look my best. Thanks Nan.
THANK YOU Monique for your affirming and kind observation. Yes, I always dress as you see me in videos. Many times I shoot a video on the spur of the moment, not even thinking of it when I dress in the morning. My husband comes home daily for lunch (it is hard to find our quality of food anywhere else). I feel better when I like the way I look, and when he does too. So again, thanks for noticing. 🌻👍🌻
I was out of greens but had several heads of fresh organic broccoli. so i cut it up and filled the blender added banana's and pineapple. and of course flaxseed, I was so glad i tried it. id do it again.
Hi Jamybergar, good for you for going for the broccoli. I’m finding that I can add quite a bit of broccoli to my smoothie and enjoy it. Now I will trust that I could make one with only broccoli. Thanks!! 🌻🥰🌻
Yes megabaneen, absolutely! The sedimentary rate is now better than normal (after 6 years of being way too high), and the antibodies are lower and heading down. Thanks for asking, and for your kind words! 🌻🥰🌻
Hi Esther, that’s a good point. If someone has a weight problem, or their goal is to lose weight, I wouldn’t recommend the caloric density of avocado. However, if that’s not the case, and you’ve listened to Dr. Goldner,’s Wellness, Wednesday Q&A sessions, you will hear her explain often, how during her three month recovery period (19 years ago) she primarily ate her greens and cruciferous using avocados, i.e. guacamole, as a dip. During that period she lost quite a bit of weight as well. Regarding the 30 g,fat limit, I’m not familiar with that dictate. I’ll also say it depends on who you’re talking to some doctors say to avoid all additional fats. With the inclusion of Chia and flaxseeds, or oils from those two seeds, and avocado in this protocol, that is not the case. This may be more confusing, but I hope it was somewhat helpful. Thank you for connecting. 🌻🥰🌻
I’m loving your videos Nan, thank you. I have Goodbye Lupus Hello Delicious but can’t find the dressing you talk about. The Citrus Cruciferous Salad you mentioned does not have the word crunch in it and the dressing has no flax oil either. Could it be another recipe? The Collard Wraps on page 57 don’t have a dressing at all so I’m confused. Which salad dressing is your favourite and which recipe were you referring to when you gave that ratio of 1 tblsp each of flax oil, lemon juice and Bragg’s aminos. Thank you.
Hi Diana, I’m glad that you like my videos, and I’m sorry that I misspoke as I gave the recipe titles. The dressing I like so much is for Dr G’s Mango Crunch Salad-I chose to make the ratios 1:1:1, rather than the two Tbsps flax oil in the recipe. The Citrus Cruciferous salad is very good, but I liked the dressing best with a little mustard to give it a big bit of a bite. As she says in her message in the front of the book, “change the recipes of anyway you personally like”. And I tend to do that. Thanks for watching, and thanks for connecting🌻🥰🌻
@@NanSimonsen Thank you for taking the time to reply Nan 🥰 I subsequently watched your video making the Mango Crunch Salad then it all made sense. Silly me. Anyway, the upshot was that I then made it following your suggestion of reducing the flax oil and it was delicious. I’m getting 1/2 cup of flaxseeds in my smoothie already so any flax oil is a bonus anyway. Thank you for your videos I really enjoy them and relate to you as I’m 70 yrs old, however, struggling to get fit. I truly benefit greatly and you inspire me. Enjoy your weekend, I hope you are doing something nice 😊
Hi Diana, I celebrated my 70th birthday by publishing my book 2 weeks before. The whole point was that at 70 I had another one, two or three decades of good life ahead of me, and I was going to make the most of it. I then taught how using lifestyle as medicine. I feel that if we see it that way, rather than as the beginning of the end, and OLD age, we make good decisions to keep us going for those years. All of this to say- if you’re looking at getting fit, just take it a day at a time realizing that you could have another 30 years ahead of you. Isn’t that a great way to look at it!?!👏👍👌
Use a veggie peeler to thin the collard stem. Works great

We’re doing purple cabbage and frozen mixed berries with cardamom in our smoothies at the moment. Deep purple and really delicious.
Does it taste spicy at all? I tried purple cabbage and was shocked at how spicy it tasted in my smoothie!
Oooh, I have to try that Vegan Mum. What a nutritional powerhouse!

This is Japanese?
Hi Ellen, Yes it is delectable. Tell me in which way it is Japanese inspired. What an interesting thought

That’s a lot of avocado for someone who has a weight problem I thought your not supposed to have more than 30 grams of fat per day?
