My Day 11--Goodbye Lupus Rapid Recovery
On this 11th day with the Goodbye Autoimmune Disease Rapid Recovery Group, I explain why having done the Hyper Nourishment protocol for 6 weeks, on my own, was so different than experiencing it, and the entire Goodby Autoimmune Protocol, with Dr. Goldner, Thomas Tadlock (her science-based husband), and a group of inspired and inspiring people.
In addition, I offer a modified take on three lessons learned---one regarding self care, another mindset, and the third, examining a different way of looking at motivation.
Stay tuned, and on a regular basis I will share what I can that is applicable to many of us, regardless of where we are in our life and health journey.

    So glad i came across your channel. I love the better than bullion, but its high in salt and im trying to get my husband's blood pressure to come down. Fat, salt and sugar transformed the way humans ate centuries ago. Its got me thinking that we need to retrain our taste buds not to crave anything that doesn't require flavoring with these three ingredients. Yikes, what a nightmare this is going to be😂😂😂😅

    Hi Nan, thank you so much for your video the information is very important to me, and to many others to hear about Rapid Recovery, it's very generous of you to keep a video log like this. I have a handful of serious autoimmune diseases and very poor health and am following GAIP (day 38!!) but struggling to eat 24oz or under fruit often- i am not over 25% fruit:75% veg. I am also struggling to have only one cup of almond milk, i have 1-2; - how serious would they say this is to my recovery on RR? I would dearly love to do RR but it is out of my reach financially. I have an appointment booked with Dr Goldner but not for three months or so. I would be very grateful for any information on how i can make the most of this effort and heal. You mentioned that what you thought it was to follow the strict protocol was very different in actual RR - could you explain that? Thank you

    • @NanSimonsen
      @NanSimonsen 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Danshibuya! Your questions, and concerns, are valid and important. I’ll answer both of your questions by partially explaining what I mean by “this is hard”. We are given the very clear instructions that we get from Goodbye Autoimmune Disease as it relates to food and lifestyle. And then we fill out a log every day-you could create such a thing for yourself-on which we note the food in every category, and all of the lifestyle recommendations, like sleep, self-care, etc. that she outlines in Goodbye Autoautoimmune disease. We are given points every day for either making it in each of these categories or not. If we don’t comply, we get a zero in that category. I for one am determined to get no zeros because it means that I didn’t comply with what it takes to HEAL with this protocol. The only way that she can assure healing (though she acknowledges nothing can be guarantee) is if we don’t get zeros. That’s as simple as I can put it, and it basically answers your questions. You may want to consider doing the same thing on your own using the Goodbye Lupus book for the protocol and Goodbye auto immune disease for a refresher on the protocol as well as using the chapters of lifestyle recommendations for guidance. I hope this is helpful. My best to you, and please keep watching and stay in touch.🌻💝🌻

      @@NanSimonsen Thanks so much Nan. I do keep really detailed daily notes, I will take your advice and adjust them, and do a scoring system. I just asked a question, Dr Goldner graciously answered it and I felt such a fool, it was way too long and a mess becuase i got in such a fluster not being to find the lives and work out how to comment on facebook. I have cried for an hour i feel so emotional about it, it is so intense for me. She said i wasn't on the protocol when i asked about the milk, also cacao and the fruit being over 24oz. Her advice is what i needed to hear and I will also treasure it and use it as the fuel i need, but I feel so foolish, I have been trying so hard and it has been so difficult. I know it is my ego! Thanks so much for getting back to me. Amy xx

Also, I take my iodine early in the morning a couple of hours before I have my smoothie. It could be taken in the evening well after your last cruciferous meal I also take levothyroxine for Hashimoto’s and that interacts with iodine as well, so I have to space everything out. Nan, another good video. I'm on Smoothie Shred on FB but after listening to you, I think I will buy her Goodbye Lupus and his Miracle metabolism. I need to lose fat and heal achy joints. For 16 days now I have done mostly raw- I had one sweet potato and tofu the other day. I have loved about 7 pounds and I feel more energy, going to bed earlier and not scrolling until midnight. I have two 32 ounce smoothies a day and by the time I get to my raw large salad I am nearly full! I may experiment with one large smoothie and then the large salad for a total 1 plus pounds greens and cruciferous. I know this is what I need to do and I am so pleased it is fairly easy for me, after 30 years trying to eat raw! and I will do it for as long as I feel I need to! You look just fine and you will look great in time!

    😘 Oh, how did I miss this video? I love your grocery haul! Lovely, as always, Nan ❤ before I go- I’d like to share my current favorite yummy treat. You may or may not have made it before but I’ll go ahead and share, perhaps others who see this can enjoy it too (my mom can’t stop ranting and raving about it) It’s a BLENDED chia pudding. We already know the importance of grinding chia seeds. Here’s the recipe: 2 cups almond milk 2 VERYVERY RIPE bananas 1/2 cup chia seeds 4 Tbsp raw cacao powder Dash of salt Little splash of pure vanilla extract (optional) Blend it all in the Vitamix (med high speed) for about 1 minute or 1 min 10sec. Be careful not to cook it. Give it a taste. It should NOT be grainy (blend more if it is). It should be ultra smooth. Place it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to an hour. It will thicken. Here’s what is just fabulous about this dessert: have patience and eat it the next day as the taste and texture will blow your mind ( well it did for me and mom!) literally more than a guilt-free dessert - it’s a healing dessert! Y’all enjoy!!! ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉k

      Hi, microgreensgrower! The recipe is in her cookbook, and I’ve been asked not to share them. As I think I mentioned, she has several Chia putting recipes in there. In essence, it’s banana, cacao powder, Chia, almond milk, and vanilla powder. My guess is you can find something very similar and compliant online. I do believe that we are restricted to one cup of unsweetened almond milk a day.🌻💕🌻

    Thank you for demonstrating this salad recipe. Two days ago I came across your video's and they have helped me so much. The information you share has encouraged me on this path and I feel so much better after only 5-days of Dr G's green smoothie and eating broccoli dipped in avocado. I thought I didn't like broccoli but dipping it in avocado really makes it tasty. I look forward to making the salads and dressings you've demonstrated. Can't wait for spring to get dandelion greens and mint from the garden. Love your video's.

    Are we not to have tofu nor legumes on the protocol ? Did u buy the guacamole in store? What is in the dressing? I have eliminated all process food for a few months now but I have only just decided to go fully raw and discovered that it is really convenient as opposed to cooking a meal especially with workingfull time. And it does keep me through the day as long as i have my smoothies. I have cheated by eating almonds and walnuts tho a handful maybe in a given day. Do u have an email address. Thanks for this as it does gives me the support and encouragement needed. God bless u!

      Hi Claudette! No, the Goodbye Lupus protocol does not include legumes, grains, starchy veggies, or cooked food. In addition, it includes omega-3 fatty acid seeds.- flax, Chia, or 3 tablespoons of their cold pressed oil- as well as a minimum of 96 ounces of water a day. The almonds are very, very high in omega six fatty acids which dominate the omega-3’s, thereby negating their value. Walnuts less so, but they are still higher and omega six fatty acids over omega-3’s. The point of the protocol is to infuse our bodies with omega-3 fatty acid, which are very anti-inflammatory as opposed to the access of omega sixes that we all get, which can then be very inflammatory. I hope this is helpful. Keep watching my videos, and please stay in touch. 🌻💝🌻

    I am going to order the Kwik Cut. I'm assuming yours is the smoothe, not serrated edge...correct? I had no idea this was available. So much less $$ than a mezza Luna and expensive wooden bowl. Thanks!;

    • @NanSimonsen
      @NanSimonsen 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      👍Mine is absolutely the serrated edge, the smooth would be much more difficult to cut with. And it works best with a little bit of wrist action. I think you’ll love it. Get a nice dirty thick glass bowl. 🌻🥰🌻
