Nan, I just love the way you describe everything. You’re an excellent teacher. I really enjoy your videos. You are truly a gift and role model. Even though I’ve been aware of all this information since I have started my Whole Foods plant-based lifestyle five years ago I never get tired of listening to all these wonderful reminders which we all need every day.

I just made a pretty purple smoothie just the other day! I used cauliflower, frozen wild blueberries, frozen bananas, and a lot of citrus and thumb-sized piece of ginger. Cauliflower can have a bit of a strong taste but this was an amazing smoothie. I love how engaging you are, ma'am! I've been binge-wathcing Dr. Goldner's LIVE Q&As as well as your videos. You're an awesome teacher and you always look stunning! I appreciate all the time and effort you put in to make these videos. Well, I'm off to get a purple cabbage now! Take care, Nan! Blessings!

Hi, I buy unsweetened Acai packets at Target; they would be good in your purple cabbage smoothie. I sat next to you at the PBNHC conf in Anaheim the last day. I enjoyed your book; very well-written. Will share it with my Mom who is 79 and has cancer. You are an inspiration and I hope I can follow in your footsteps someday as a coach. Glad Dr Goldner's protocol worked so well for you. I look forward to committing to it for an extended period as well. I live in SoCal, so hope we can keep in touch. Take care.

All of that sounds delicious, and super simple Janet!
I used a full 13 ounces of purple cabbage and 3 ounces of spinach to create the pound. I made similar one earlier in the week in which there was too much spinach and it muddied it up. We’re both doing such a good thing for ourselves with this protocol. It’s fun, isn’t it? And oh so rewarding!🌻🥰🌻

@@NanSimonsen I loved it but I didn't have enough red cabbage to color the smoothie purple! Going to the store tomorrow to get more. Great idea. I made Almond milk yesterday and tried one of the chia puddings! Had half last night. It was so good I wanted it to last even though I have lots of almond milk to make more! I want to try each one. I've been starting with the smoothie and getting all the water in, big salad at lunch and half a pomegranate and dinner is broccoli, cauliflower and guac. Last few nights we start with half a melon! So satisfying. Keeping it simple and tasty.

May I share a tip that might have helped with the ingredients on that Acai package? There are two Apps I use on my phone, “Yuka” and “BobbyApproved”. You just scan the barcode and it highlights all the harmful ingredients (including added sugars that come under SO many names) and educates as to WHY they are harmful. They will also show you healthier alternatives for that item. I love both of them for different reasons. Like Yuka is better for body care and non-food products. I use them both every time I shop! And get smarter every time 🤓

Hi Michelle, thanks for watching and asking a common question. Yes spinach is high in oxalates; however, it only affect people who are highly sensitive to them. Most people aren’t. As Dr Goldner has said, the vast majority of the people who do her protocol, and it’s been over 5000, have tolerated them in spinach just fine. Although I’ve only been doing her hyper nourishment for nearly 3 months, I’ve used spinach in my raw salads on my WFPB diet for well over six years and I’ve had no problems.
If you have had kidney stones, or it runs widely in your family, you want to be more careful. But, my father had gout, and I still had had no problems. I hope this is helpful. My best to you.🌻🥰🌻

I tried this for three weeks, not for me. Way too much fiber for me. I’ve never gone to the bathroom so much in my life. I have to pee of poop every time I turn around. I’m bloated Up a couple a times a night etc. I’m hypothetical can’t sleep at night and I don’t need that to interfere with it.
Going back to Dr. Mcgoogle starch diet. I can eat salads instead of this smoothie.

Hi Rhonda! Oh no, i’m so sorry that you had this reaction! 🥰
I have been over six years very For over 6 years I have been WFPB, very much influenced by Dr. McDougal‘s starch based diet.
In the beginning of Dr. Goldner‘s protocol- I began September 2-I had some real digestive issues, which all settled down. I’m very glad I stuck with it, because I’ve had remarkable healing that simply continues using her protocol. I did six weeks of the Goodbye Lupus high raw, and since then I maintain the hyper nourishment (which means the smoothie, with half cup of flax or Chia, and all that water) but now I’ve added cooked foods.
You know your body best, and you know your health goals as well. These inflammatory markers for me were the one thing I couldn’t get rid of on a Whole Foods plant based diet, and I have.
I appreciate your connecting. My best to you. 🌻🥰🌻

    Hi Nan!🌻
I use to use the acai purée until l noticed other additives in the purée. I switched to Organic Acai powder, but better yet l use Organic Amala powder.
Amala is also known as Indian Gooseberry, a Berry found in India. When l was learning all about Ayurvedic medicine, l came across amala. It is the one the world's most powerful antioxidants. It has an ORAC rating of 261,500 compared to acai at 102, 700. ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity. It's a lab test that attempts to quantify the "total antioxidant capacity" (TAC) of a food.
Amala is high in natural vitamin C and has a long list of other health benefits . It's also used in another blend called Triphala. Triphala consists of Amala, Bibhitaki and Haritaki. An ORAC value of 706,250. Triphala is a good gentle detoxer. Also high in vitamin C and A. In Ayurvedic medicine it's used to bring the doshas back into balance. I use the Organic Triphala powder quite often. Both amla and triphala have a sour, bitter taste to them. They can be used in smoothies. I also just mix some in warm water at times.
    Have a wonderful day!

You’re so right about the value of acai and and amla. Many of us have additional antioxidant items that we add to our smoothies, but that opens up a whole can of worms when trying to demonstrate to a general audience, that is looking for something healthy, but simple. That’s what Dr. G focuses on. Simple, proven in her protocol to work, and replicable by anyone with just supermarket food.
Thank you for taking the time to share so well. Thank you also for watching!
