My right side 2012 avenger getting done next weekend. Too old and with 2 back operations, yes I have to pay. Great job though, excellent instructional video. Good bless.
How much did this cost for your wheel bearing replacement I think mine is going and I'm trying to get an idea how much it will cost me. I dont have a place where I can do the work myself
@@91Wildcat700 I can't even remember. It wasn't real expensive. But you have to do both sides. We traded the Avenger in for a 2019 kia Stinger. I'm sorry I really can't remember. The guy that did our work moved up north.
@@themechanic6117 No arguing from me. My certified mechanic I had for 26 years never steered me wrong and worked on all my family cars and trucks never an issue. You have your right to your opinion. I know I've said this before but your editing and camera shots are outstanding! I loved the little finger on the volume slide. Nice touch. Yeah, that was sneaky of the customer to bring a used unit but you made it work. He/she was lucky that wheel didn't come off on the road.
+wyattoneable thank you. I was shocked to see how loose the wheel was. A bit more and that wheel would have come off flying .it's crazy. I keep trying to come up with clever little things to put into my videos lol
That used wheel hub is so rusted that the customer will be back in a year or less and hopefully they dont want to blame you for the short lifetime on that wheelhub.
Great video, I hope you charged extra for them bringing you a salvage yard part. I once had a customer ask if I would go get the part from the junkyard. I laughed and declined.
+Brittany Gumm I've heard it all lol. Customers ask if I can get the part from the salvage yard for them, if I can pay for the parts for them, if I supply the parts 😂. No I didn't charge extra in this situation. Sometimes it's best to suck it up and gain a new regular customer. Thanks for watching and commenting .
There is no need to remove any of this. Tire(obviously), brake pads, rotors, remove the 32MM nut from the axle, remove the 4 15MM bolts from the back, hold the axle in place OR mark it in place, the wheel hub comes right off. Reverse the steps, done. Less than an hour...
+Dorian Almonte lol things are usually rusted I'm place where I'm at . I always try what you just described and 95% of the time it doesn't work because it's rusted in place.
Went thru the same thing (studs on 08 avenger) but my wheel actually few off lucky it was just the spare had to pay the shop because i got hungry and decided to drive.
Every video i see of this job has different torque specs for the same car. One has 118 ft lbs for the axel nut and 70 ft lbs for the hub. I'm doing mines this weekend just want to know what torque specs are correct
My front passenger rotor won’t turn at all.. it’ll turn about half an inch before locking up.. any thoughts as to what’s going on? Can’t seem to find any help online anywhere
This is an excellent video. One thing I always say is that life has no price. Thank you and God Bless!
Thank you, I appreciate you watching. God bless

Why did both sides "have" to get done? Unles they were both bad i dont agree with that. Btw nice pick on the stinger !👍

I believe he's still driving around on that same wheel bearing lol

Up to 1400ft-lbs nut-busting torque- imagine that?
The new Milwaukee-Electric-Tools-2863-20-Onekey
Surprise we have the whole assembly ! Damn ! Yo your a funny dude 🤣...nice work 👍 easy $ 60.00 labor cool. Lol
Yeah that was horse shit lol. Wasted time for nothing
You removed the strut and sensors unnecessarily. I got this done completely in under an hour. Good video for beginners.
Detached it at the lower ball joint?

Is the car is park? It won't let the wheel turn if the car is in park. Not sure if that's what you're talking about
@@themechanic6117 wow I feel stupid now that was it lmao thank you 🙏🏽
🤣👍
Im gonna do mine soon but god damn my shit looks rusty asf 😓😓😓 awesome video chief!
Good luck
Torque specs for rear barring assembly on a 2013Dodge average
This video is very good. But my question is why did you originally take the strut bolts out?
Easier access to the rear bolts
There is no need to remove the struts bolts
Sometimes it’s not best to be cheap on parts the junkyard though oh my 😔
I agree
I had to replace my front passenger wheel bearing on November 17!!
+Herbert VAughn good job, hope all went well.
Excellent video !!! Thanks
Thank you
Is that autel impact any good ?
RAHRAH807 do you mean the Milwaukee impact ? It's great, plenty of power and going strong. 👍
Almost looked like a autel impact..missed the part of video where it shows the part of logo.but I see it now.
Can I pay someone to do this for me in michigan?
How much would this cost me to get it fixed? (Cant do it myself)
Prices vary for area that youre in. Youll have to call around
I would have rejected the salvage yard part. Who knows how good or bad it was, plus all the prep for a new bearing was at loss.
Yeah that was bs bht it all worked out in the end
Customer gets what he deserves going with a used wheel bearing. Be replacing that again in a year.
I agree. Junk yard wheel bearings are not a good idea
@@themechanic6117 period
I need to make a video of the correct way to do this.
Could have done that without pulling the whole knuckle off much easier and faster also leave the sensor alone
Apparently you didnt watch the video
Well didn’t mean to get your feeling. I know your obviously a professional doing it in your driveway
No need to remove strut with the right tools
Yes I agree, I now have the tools to do a job like this much faster. Not everybody has a slide hammer or hub removal tool.
Scary to know I'm on the road with idiots.
I mean they so cheapthey couldn't buy a 35 wheel hub bearing on Amazon? I can bet they haggled on the price or your super cheap on labor
You literally took out so many unnecessary bolts
Nice
+NoneMechanic101 thanks!
I agree with NoneMechanic100, NICE! Very well detailed and saves a lot of money by getting a used one in good condition. 👍👍
