Good vid, thx. I don't know how you got a ratcheting wrench on thist 15mm head, bolts. Just using my skinniest socket, it wanted to catch, and drive the CV boot off. Thanks Dodge!
I have A 2008 dodge avenger and when doing the power brake test putting both brakes on and in drive or reverse I’m getting a clunk at my axle, and the axle is literally slightly turning in the bearing when doing that (without a flash light you would hear the clunk but couldn’t see the axle turning) Just got the axle replaced 3 days ago it’s brand new. Would I just need to change the bearing/wheel hub assembly that the axle goes in?
I'm so confused about the tone ring situation on these. I have a 2012 I just replaced the ball joints, struts, tie rod ends. Upon reassembling I have ABS light/code on both front wheels. I couldn't find anything that looked like a tone ring inside the bearing assembly or the CV axle. worked fine before the part replacement could it have just disintegrated when I took it apart? I can't seem to find any clear information about my next step. The pictures I've found of the OEM bearing assembly don't appear to have one any (at least not the traditional jagged tooth thing I'm used to) Would greatly appreciate any guidance as I'm losing my mind!
Yes, that sounds like a worn wheel bearing. When the tire wiggles, does it wiggle in all different directions? Like, not just side to side or top to bottom?
@@Tomsfoolery. yes air it does. Would you recommend me doing it myself? I change my brake pads and whatnot, i just didnt know if this one was better to sit out
All of the torques. 😁 With a quick search I found that it's 97 lb/ft up to 2011. 2012-2014 is 118 lb/ft. I don't know why it changed, but they sound reasonable for an axle nut on a car, so I'm assuming they are right out at least close enough to work without causing any issues.
@wayne3340 lol someone wanted me to do it for then for $125 at the time. I never took the job, I didn't wanna be married to the car. Some people you just know not to take them as a customer
That hubcap tip honestly deserves its own video. Thank you sir
Thanks for adding axle nut size. Now I know which to buy with the hub
Damn. I like the "s" hook idea. I always let it sit around the spring and knock it off constantly! I'm using this idea!!!
Wow, you made that look easy (I know it's not, though). Very informative. Thanks for posting !!!
Thanks!
What is the SPEC!!!!! ??????
thanks for posting! Very inspiring, gotta do my passengers side tomorrow. Wish i had that lift tho

What torque did you use for the axle nut?? 118??
Awesome video, thanks! Jesse from Edinburg Texas!🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
Thank you!
Hi. When I turn to the left, I hear a noise. Which one should be replaced right or left. Thanks.

Some bearings house the tone ring internally. Which may be your case. Were you careful not to break the sensors when you took it apart?
Could be possible that you got the hubs for a non-abs application.
Hi my nephew car passenger wheel bearing is shot does the 2010 avenger all have 4 wheel disc is the abs on the front
What is the torque spec?
Exactly! Wtf...
what the wheel lock nut size that hold the assembly in need the size to make sure I got it
Is this the same thing as the back
My cars having a lot of grinding noises and whatnot. Also when i jack my car up the wheel wiggles. Does this sound like bearings?

You can do it yourself. If it’s a front wheel bearing, you’ll need a torque wrench to torque the axle nut.
Can the bearings be removed from the assembly? And put a new bearing in or is it welded so you cannot do so?
Im having the same problem, same place, same car. Thanks
Do you know if the axle nut has play at the wheel hub? I was changing my breaks and seen there was about 1/2 play in the nut, thanks either way!
No, the axle but should not have any free play. It should be tight.

Hi mate do you no the tourq settings for the wheel hub on dodge avenger 2ltr crd
My axle is rusted right to the hub. There’s no getting it off
propane torch and heat carefully
Do I need to replace only the bad side or both sides will be better
only the bad side will be fine
They say to do both sides cause the new one will wear out faster if ones new and one isn't
Do both. Don't just done side.
Do these have bearings in the rear? I took a long road trip on my 2012 2.4l and the rear making a weird squeak or grinding noise but only sometimes.
Snowman3g it will get worse it’s happening to me right know

What would you have charged for this exact repair just labor
In Canada it would cost around $500 after taxes. In USA I imagine about $350.

☝️👍
Y bother doing a video if u don't share the toque specs wasting our time
Thank you! Ridiculous
Dont you have google, genius???
Torque to 118ft. Lbs.
