thanx man it helped me a lot. yeah you probably could do it faster but still it's fine. the ONLY ONE video that really helped me (I posses seashell series asus netbook)
depends where laptop coming from. Some people have cats who like to sit close or even on top of it. You can try a compressed air, just try to not spin fan very fast, some people was braking it by doing this. But if there is a really good amount of dust inside, compressed air will probably not help. Good luck!
hey, you know the black tape you peeled off the hdd at 8:40 in the video. well if you put a new hdd to you have to put that on it? cause i upgraded the hdd on one very similar to yours (mines a 1015px) and whenever i tilted it i heard like a grinding noise. im not sure whether it was the hdd that was broken or something else. the sound was similar to when you put a cd in a laptop and then move it. if i tilted the laptop quickly the hard drive would stop and make a beep sound. thats not normal. but i just want to know is that due to not having the black tape or is it because of a bad hdd. the hdd i added to it was higher rpm (7200rpm) than the previous (5400rpm). thanks.
Mmk I followed every step changed the hard drive and put it back together. Now it won't turn on. I know it isn't the hard drive's fault seeing a couple of vids how to change it . Any suggestions or any ideas?
No problem, I would suggest to simply get on eBay and search there for something like "asus 1015peb cmos battery" That would give you the best results. Thank you!
(sorry for late comment) I hope you was able to unscrew them. If the screw head get's damaged it can be pain in a butt to remove it. You may buy a screw extruder, smallest possible to try it first. If this will not help, you may use a drill to carefully drill it out. With both tools you need to be very careful, because drill (especially drill bit) can damage plastic pretty bad.
I would recommend a fresh windows 10 install rather than clone, Make sure you have your license for win 10. After install, plug in your old hdd externally via USB and and adapter and copy your files.Watch a few videos on TH-cam. Hope it helps!
Yeeks !!! If I tried this I would have at least 6 - 8 screws left over.. I was checking to see about the Speaker placement.. as my Eepc was putting out horrible sound.. turns out it had picked up a mini staple.. and was stuck to speaker magnet.. now aok.. no surgery required :)
I'm not being funny but this guy doesn't look like he 'knows' how to disassemble the unit he is just feeling his way through, I could do that if I too guessed each stage. This is not what I was hoping for
David Mattock Yes, you are right. Some times I take laptops apart for the first time. But still, many people likes my videos :) I hope it was at least a bit helpful for you.Anyway, thanks for watching!
Can't say exactly, but if you are talking regarding a charger and it's plug, I would suggest to search for used chargers on eBay to find a correct charger
"If you are taking your ASUS EeePC 1015PEB laptop netbook apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band..." Why? You did not. LMAO. An anti-static wrist band does NOTHING if it is not connected to a ground.
+regazzz Good... I say that, because I've had supervisors that would have a conniption fit if you used that to reassemble a computer. We had a guy that would over torque the mounting screws, and would damage the mobo...
It was also filmed more than 10 years ago when no videos like that were even available on TH-cam. Usually people forget about it but that's ok. Yes, it is mostly trial and error because I mostly film laptops I take apart for the first time, otherwise, after a few similar laptops you know exactly what to do. Meanwhile, it isn't my main income, so, I can't find 5 same laptops for training to make a perfect video for people who think I am "not professional". I hope this video helped at least partially. Thank you!
A giant thank you for posting this! Gave me the confidence to rip the sucker apart and replace a broken fan successfully.
Seeing you stuggle with getting the trackpad off, made me feel better about myself. =)
Depends on what type of experience, replacing whole board with USB port on the right side of this model of a laptop.
Thank you. This video saved me a lot time to disassemble this little eee bastard :D
That's great!

Cool! I am glad this video helped you out!
Thank you for this video. Without him there would have been able to.
I changed the hard drive, but I have not put plastic down. Is it necessary to do
Thank you very much for such a valuable comment!

Gracias por este vídeo. Sin él no habría sido capaz de hacerlo

Hello, I would say it not a must, but better to do same as original genuine manufacturer. As they do something for a reason.
Mmk I followed every step changed the hard drive and put it back together. Now it won't turn on. I know it isn't the hard drive's fault seeing a couple of vids how to change it . Any suggestions or any ideas?
i cant get the screws off where the batteries are, tried using the smallest screw driver i got. any suggestions
Thanks a lot. This was super helpful.
What was the size of the screwdriver used to get out all the screws?
Sorry for really late comment but what type is the cmos battery because i have to change

Does anyone know what thickness is the thermopad in this EeePC?
Many thanks!

I can't tell exactly but it was some husky set with a really thin bits.
Thank you! 🙏🏾
What are the tools he's using to disassemble?
What kind of band you wore,is it for static proof?
Nah, I would not rely on it. The best would be one that is plugged into ground. Otherwise it makes no sense.
Thank you regazzz! Excelent how to!
Rogério A. Matos You are welcome!

Good for you! You are welcome!
Can't turn on - look at the power button first. If it is not connected - can be a reason.

GREAT!!! You are very welcome!!!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
You are welcome!

foreign keyboard might have more screws underneath the touchpad. try removing that first if keyboard seems hard to loosen.
foreign in my case is a german keyboard layout...
Thanks for let people know! It will be useful. (I can also imagine that there was no screw at the start in a laptop I took apart.)
Can anyone tell me if this model uses the 2.5mm/0.7mm or 2.3mm/0.7mm power source? Thank you.
Can't say exactly, but if you are talking regarding a charger and it's plug, I would suggest to search for used chargers on eBay to find a correct charger
and I like your channel name :)))))))))
Thank you too!
thanx man!
Battery's Name ??
I guess it has only one access. Removing a palmrest.
It is should be fine...
I didn't tell that there is no value. I am fine with that. People are different and can have absolutely opposite point of view.

+A Bit of PC isn't that obvious?
I hope, for your sake, you didn't use that drill to put this back together...
Lately I use my wireless screwdriver only on some external case bottom screws. So, this video was made a few years ago and only one way.
+regazzz Good... I say that, because I've had supervisors that would have a conniption fit if you used that to reassemble a computer. We had a guy that would over torque the mounting screws, and would damage the mobo...
C'est du tâtonnement. Pas professionnel du tout.😢

This video is so useless, I can't even see where all the screws are and he's saying nothing...
What I can tell - do a better one! :)
