- Hi!
No music. No talking. Just work.
If you are taking your ASUS EEEPC 1005HAB laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
Have fun and good luck!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE! the "No Music, no Talking, Just work." approach.
I wish all how-to youtube videos were like that!
Hey man, just wanted to let you know that you've helped me disassemble a ton of different laptops with these videos. I appreciate you taking the time to do these things!
GREAT! You are welcome!!!
This one is the best video - got mine open - thanks!
i like reviews such as gaming and working without any talking like this one great job
Thank you for adding a video without music and graphics! This is simple and straightforward. As a note, the clips on the sides of keyboard bezel break easily, and will cause the top panel to "float" on the sides where the clips are broken.

some people explain things, others can do extraordinary things. Holy Toledo, impressed.
Hello, thank you so much! I do also explain some things as well, simply subscribe to my channel!
Have a nice day!
I almost missed that other screw under the "warranty void..." sticker under the keyboard. Amazing video!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I got the HDD out of that laptop as a collection or for parts and i have tons of laptop and PC parts. Thank you for posting this!
EDIT: subscribed
Thanks a lot. That was REALLY helpful. I reset the bios removing the battery in a few minutes thanks to you my friend!!
You are welcome!
Thank you very much, after more than 10 years and it still helps, hahaha
The fun part is putting it back together. I get about a year out of these before they die from vibration etc in my work truck. Today the webcam wires shorted out and it started smoking. Pulled it apart and removed the webcam entirely and it's working again. Hope you did one for a Acer Cloud book as that is the replacement since these are getting scarce.
+submarineaz I will look in to finding Acer cloud book for video purpose.
Hi regazzz. First of all, thanks for your videos. They're quite useful.
I just ran into a Toshiba notebook that, like these Asus eee PC's, has its CR2032 battery connected to the motherboard through soldered contacts. Thus, the only way to remove it is by desoldering it. And I have to take it out because I'm about to submit the motherboard to the rigors of a rework (reballing).
I'm quite new to that part of the job, and I know that exposing the CR2032 to high enough temperatures will break it or even make it explode. So, how do I desolder then solder it back, without making the battery itself hot enough for disaster?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Fred Lavergne You are welcome!
I'm totally curious if this was a working or broken EEEPC as I have one and am looking for an easy way to change the cmos battery and I was just wondering... because you are either a tech or have been doing this for awhile- as it seemed u were careful and meticulous with certain pieces and others not so much so I guess what I'm wondering is how rugged the inside is and do I need to be super careful with anything? Thanks for any help you can suggest! Great video too! I'll be adding this as a fav to reference :)
Hello,
it will be better if you will be super careful with everything. Specially if you do that for the first time. You may definitely need organize a screws for sure (it will be hard to remember everything) also you can take a pictures where all cables are going to.
Your video was very helpful in changing the cmos battery, it was less invasive, however, as I'm assuming they moved the battery to a better location (just under the edge of the corner panel) :) Thanks for a great video and for getting back to me!
Fanatical32 You are very welcome! Thanks for watching. :)
Great video, with this model, I had to take it apart because every time I plugged in the wall adapter, it buzzes or ticks and won’t start??
Respect thanks, my fan stalled but you show me the way to fix it, thanks...
GREAT!
Great video. One thing I never do is use power tools on those
tiny screws. Disaster waiting to happen.
Thanks for your time, great help.
Very helpful. Thanks.
I have this exact asus and one of my friends think my cmos battery is bad. Where exactly is it located so I can replace it? Thanks in advance.
I hope this one will be useful for you!
