Thank you for the excellent video. I just called Delta and they are sending the replacement cartridge free of charge within 6 days. All the Delta representative asked for was the model number and year and place of purchase.
Hi! My single faucet is leaking at the base of the hook-neck faucet when you turn the water on. Is it the same repair to the thing to the right of the faucet that you demonstrated? My faucet configuration is just like the one in your video. Thanks so much for this video & help. Excellent video!
No, that is likely the o-ring in that part of the faucet. Look on Delta's website for schematic and give them a call. They are good about sending parts often at no charge. Thanks for watching and Good Luck!
Good video. QUESTION - under the sink, the nut that keeps the handle assembly in place from spinning does not seem to have a locking washer or any other locking mechanism to keep it from loosening. I've had to re-tighten about once an month and the crappy plastic 1/2" hex tool to tighten the nut will fail at some point. Any ideas? I was going to check if i could place a locking washer between the nut and the sink hard stop, but I can't get a good look at it to see if that is prudent.
Great Video The one I have the water faucet that the water comes out leaks down by the counter top when you swivels from one sink to the other. Any idea's?
If it is a Delta, call Delta, but hold times are terrible right now. (I had to call last week) You can email them and they can email you back. I'm not a plumber, but I think there is an o-ring where it turns and if that o-ring is bad it will leak there. Good Luck and thanks for stopping by!
Use vinegar into Allen screw hole first. Tap with rubber mallet. Twist and pull. Worked for me. It can seem glued on but that is the calcium deposit you need to overcome.
I don't know how long this has been an issue, but If I remember right, they were handling all this out of Sothern Tennessee and they got snowed in about 10 days ago. that might be part of the problem.@@chickensnickers

You could find a real nut with the same threads and just a dab of lock tite. Best of luck and thanks for watching!
Nicely done, and helpful. Thorough explanation!
Thanks and thanks for watching
Nice demo, thanks.
Great Video

Hello Wayne. I did everything but the handle it's loose, why?
If it is not the set screw, I don't know. Thanks for watching!
I wonder if there is a rebuild kit for this cartridge valve? The cartridge is $38 on Amazon…surely a rebuild would be cheap and easy
Contact Delta. They replaced mine for free.
Yeah well they dont seem to be answering calls nor returning email requests either. I couldnt wait any longer

The way I repair a dripping faucet is to buy and install a new one 👍
Well done though!
Construction Trucks this was free. I don’t like to spend money!

Repairing is the thing to do not only for the money. This is normal usage, stop polluting !
@@pimc172 Ok, I will try.
Send me your so-called leaky ones. I will get new parts under warranty and use them
What if you can’t get the handle off? I have soaked it in vinegar and water soaked towel
I've never had a handle not come off. Try WD40 and if that doesn't break it loose, you may have to replace the whole thing.
Why have you removed it three times? Unless it leaked shouldn’t be necessary
I don't remember now, but seems like I took it apart trying to fix it and to get the right cartridge. Thanks for watching!
Thx but my thing is like stuck it doesn’t want to come out
That's odd, mine popped right out. Tap around a little to break the seal of the mineral deposits.
I took the whole darn thing off from the bottom thinking I had to replace the whole handle 😅
I hope this helped. Thank you for watching!
Call delta and if your faucet is under 10 years old they will replace the cartridge under warranty.
They did. Thanks for watching!
