I appreciate that you broke down each part clearly and in detail. Thankfully I just had to reseat a loose seal. Easier said than done due to one of the shut-off valves not fully engaging and having to use a hammer to force the seal into place long enough to thread the cap. Your advice to use something to hold the seal down while you rethread the cap was especially good. My repair job necessitated judicious use of WD40, a hammer, rubber gloves, and patience. I get a lot of pride and enjoyment out of learning home maintenance skills. Especially skills that save me time and money.

My faucet was leaking constantly. I took mine apart and cleaned it with all the gunk and metal particles inside. I was surprised that there was no cartridge. I put it back together but noticed that the right side "Oring" was lifted and wouldn't sit right. It continued to leak after I put it back together but it was better. I am just going to buy that whole kit and rebuild it. Now that I know what's going on. Best video I've seen on faucet repair. Straight to the point.

Excellent video. Thank you. One point of improving (perhaps); I used to work on many valves on sprinkler systems. I experienced that black/gray gunk that forms (like I see on your fingertips). I was always extremely careful to clean off the gunk, before rebuilding, so as to insure it didn't hang out to start a new cycle of build up.

I used to have a faucet just like this back in the day. The thing was a Nightmare to remove! It had developed a small leak over many years and the hard water deposits that built up made it an absolute bear to remove. Never been so glad to be rid of an old faucet in my life. Thanks for this. Wish the video had been in existence many years earlier. :)

Watched the whole video and it was great, but I noticed one thing you did not replace, the Diverter Assembly located in the front of the device after you remove the long spray device, it appears in the middle of remaining device. You kit did not have this and I need it. Do you know the kit I need to purchase? Thanks!

@@TheFixerHomeRepair this is the God honest truth. I saw your video becuz I like to learn things. When it was done, I went and made a cup of decaf, and came back to read all the comments. The very next thing I saw was this comment about needing to make coffee, so I had to write this as I'm lol. But on a side note, who cares what the sink and counters look like, it works. That's more than I can say for some of us. And I look forward to your next videos.

The top portion is sized on, I'm guessing from hard water build up won't come apart even with channel locks and towel over it. I ended up scratching it a little. Thinking I could pour vinegar into it so it will release.

Tried this and the handle had an extra degree of freedom (could be rotated in place, affecting water flow) when we were done. We realized this was because the pin at 6:16 was not staying inside the slot on the ball. In trying to address this we accidentally popped out the pin and lost it. That pin is not included in the repair kit-wondering if you know how to replace it. Excellent video-thanks.

Delta is nice they include the O rings. "Glacier Bay" (likely a Premier Bayview Faucet Rebrand for the lower end spec from the factory line) faucets provide a ball kit for ~$7 but you gotta do O rings SEPARATE ORDER! Home Despot.

Sorry for follow on question...but it seems like the faucet arm feeder hole is actually BELOW the ball socket bottom! I could understand if the ball mixer worked by mixing hot and cold within the ball and then allowing out the faucet arm into the sink, but the faucet hole looks to be BELOW the ball, not in line with it!!!! this ball system is black magic.
