I love delta faucets for their simplicity. Easy and cheap to rebuild and they are ready for years more of service. Great job Steve. The delta is working again now mama. Leak free!
I dont mean to be so off topic but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
I like Delta faucets. Delta will send free parts if they go bad if you're the original owner. I have gotten into the habit of taking mine apart once a year to clean it and lube it. In your video you can hear how much quieter and smoother the faucet turns after lube and new o-rings.
Steve, You're probably TIRED of hearing it, but THANKYOU! That light sanding the inner surface is a GEM of knowledge and likely can solve for many a leaker! Well...except for Comey@ Have a Great Sunday - take the day off, and tell those chickens I said be respectful...or be stew!
Does Amy know where there is a replacement for the 200 faucet? It’s discontinued every where I see but I don’t want to have to redo old tile around this faucet .
how can you get that silver nut off without the strap wrench? Do I need to buy it from Depot first? Mine is super rusted so it doesnt come off with bare hands.. :( Thank you!
you could buy the strap wrench Home Depot Harbor Freight Tools is cheaper I bought a cheap one it's all plastic and rubber good enough if you use it once in awhile
Watching your video now. I have the same faucet. With mine, I'm having difficulties getting the handle off after taking the front screw off. What can you suggest is the problem?
I recently I stalled a new delta faucet and very little water is flowing even though the water pump is on all other taps has full water flow, what could be the problem
Did you take the aerator screen off before running your water for the first time? Crud gets shaken loose whenever you repair or replace a faucet. I always run water first, then install the aerator screen. I'd check to see if it's clogged and flush or blow it out.
Never use sand paper. It will corrode much faster if you do. Use a soft cleaner, grease your “o” rings and reassemble after replacing all rubber parts.
Only people in Wyoming that have that Bawstonian accent are those that live "right down here on the ocean" (10:58) which I believe is in the Jackson Hole area. "Best thing about Jackson is that it is close to Wyoming" is what we think about Jackson Hole. Wyoming: with only half a million people, we are just a small town with really long streets. And then there is Jackson ....... right down there by the ocean or wherever the hell it thinks it is.
Better to fix the old made in America faucets, then put in those big box store China plastic ones Steve. After watching several videos, I have to only imagine that this "Gundy" guy was some hum dinger of a plumber.😎
What brand is the strap wrench? It looks like it bites good. I got a mastercraft one that's a piece of garbage and doesn't grip (not even any better than hand tight) and was looking to replace mine.
Thanks, will get one along with a good offset spud wrench next time I put an order in. (been borrowing another guys spud wrench on the site until I get my own)
just spent way too much time on a "Repair/rebuild" .....it was better in some respects but had a leak in a new spot....if it worked i was a hero..now I'm a zero..I should have just installed a faucet...the thing must have been about twenty years old...time for an update!/new version of the same faucet!
Mookie Man I am a maintenance supervisor for a property management company and we do things like this on the regular but I was jus wondering how much an independent jack of all trades would charge thx for the info
Steve is not a jack of all trades person. Unlike your "crew" he is licensed in many areas. A master of many plumbing and hvac trades. When your crew changes a air filter can they get the arrow pointed in the right direction?
polishtheturd mickelson oh great we got a troll in there my particular crew we do everything anything having to do with plumbing too full on AC work we are not just a typical run-of-the-mill air filter changes that's how you want to put it I was just trying to see how much he charged for that particular service the end it we do so much I was kinda beginning to think I might be in the wrong area of the business maybe wanting to Branch out on my own such as he is
Troll, me how about that? I got a nickname tonight from a jack of all trade leader, master of none. It depends on your area of the country you are working in and your skill level on what you can charge? Referring to Steve as a independent jack of all trades was rude to him. That is what put me off on your comments dick atkins. I don't think you can cut it on your own. Better stick with the property management supervisor gig, manage away. They need your guidance, lol. Show they the path to success.
Gave me the final knowledge to feel comfortable fixing my neighbors kitchen faucet. Thanks

Use baking soda instead of sanding paper. It's amazingly efficient. Thanks for the video. I learned a lot about my leaking problem.
Great job Steve. You fixed that faucet like brand new!
Steve,

I would have replaced the springs and donut rubber washers too while you were at it
Yeah idk why you wouldn't, they are 10 bucks

So really how do u get it off because it’s not working at all for me
Thank you for making these videos,i have learned alot from watching you
Watching your video now.
I have the same faucet.
With mine, I'm having difficulties getting the handle off after taking the front screw off.
What can you suggest is the problem?
Do you know what size o-rings are used for these delta faucets?
Why didn’t you check the ball and when should that be checked for wear? What are the signs the ball valve is bad? Thanks!
Thank you! It worked. I have not had water in my kitchen sink for 1 month!
My delta faucet handle feels tight to move any suggestions
thanks steve....this was MAJOR helpful...just what i was looking for
If the o rings are old and leaking then I would replace the last few parts so they dont have to call me back in a month for a dripping faucet.
Use a strap wrench, not offset pliers, to remove the cap
What should I do if I can't pull the handle off... I undid the screw in the initial step, but the handle itself won't pull of.
Thanks Steve that helps a lot. You sound just like my son in Staten Island, (where I am from) lol
By chance do you remember what model faucet this is?
Thanks for your video and experience. Saved me $
Great job Steven!
oh forgot to add love your videos be well sir!

6:45 "put a little lube on there mama, put a little lube." locker room talk. lol
is the replace new faucet will be the same price with fixing faucet ?
You didn't show how to fix it when it drips from the spout
Replace the spring loaded washers (& springs) that .press against the ball.
I have same model and it drips water, may you please model number or how do i find correct parts? Thank you!!!
Is petroleum jelly the same as plumbers grease
no
nice job steve thank you for sharing!!!!
Nice video. Thanks
I think I would have replaced all of the seals while it was open.
Is zat an Wyoming accent? LOL! Thanks for the vid. Especially the tip on sanding.

any magic on how to get a stuck chrome ring off?
soak it with white vinegar
Very good as always!
Merci pour le partage...
Thank you for another valuable lesson
Why staining so much this is not a very labor-intensive job

i ts a ridgid

can any one tell me plz that if co is 3500 ppm in boiler burner what that means is oxygen is more or need to reduce natural gas.
Thank you!
A real plumber would have checked the sprayer nozzle. I noticed that you did not clean the diverter valve. Otherwise a good basic tutorial.
Nice view of the ocean
Nice fix..
Man! It didn't work. New faucet time. Oh well, it was a good time.
It's a shame they stopped making them. I don't like the newer ones at all.
Delta is makin' water again. Steve Lav.repair
how much did you charge for that service call
richard atkins parts and labor. 96 per hour and probably like 10-20 in parts.
