Touch your hair! Talk the way you talk! If it's too quiet, I'll turn up the volume. I love my shrugs(I've done them all). I love my Wink. Thank you for these wonderful patterns! And thank you, Jackie and Caitlyn for sharing your beautiful friendship and gifts with us!😍
Thank you Jackie for your warm and thoughtful words in the end of this serene and beautiful podcast. I live in Israel and my family is OK but there isn’t a family in Israel, including mine, that does not know someone who was killed kidnapped or even worse. We are heartbroken and devastated. Your words of encouragement and support, are a beacon of light in a vast darkness that surrounds us these days. I watch and follow a lot of podcast in the knitting world and with time you come to see them, as close friends, even though they are far away, and usually in a different country. And when you go through something so horrific you expect your close friends to be there and support. You are the first and only Podcaster that shown straight forward support and emotions towards our terrible times. Thank you for that. You are a beacon of light and you come through as a true friend, even though you are far away, and in a different country.❤❤❤
You and Katelyn are authentic…beautiful souls. Your podcast has brought me so much joy. Your friendship with each other is inspiring and deep and it is so special that you share it with the world. So many knitting shows, podcasts, opinions out there…and while your knitting is beautiful…I don’t watch because of that. I watch yours because you are so much more than knitting. I never noticed that you touch your hair or talk to quietly or whatever is being said. I just notice the love…and isn’t that why we are all here at this time on this planet? Stay you.
I love this beautiful honesty. Thank you for being here with style, and beauty, and love. I've been struggling to feel good about knitting while the world feels like it's going over a cliff; your words help. XOXO
Jackie, I loved all your projects but most of all your words and tears❤ During such a difficult time for all you offer a time of joy in your makings and sharing. I have friends who are from Israel and have family and friends there still. All I can do is give them a hug and let them know I am praying for peace for them right now. Thank you❤
I loved every moment of this Jackie!! You are such a beautiful soul bringing such beauty to the world. Thank you being you and so hoping I get to see you in person at Rhinebeck!!!!
Your words are just the right ones. Fortifying oneself and showing up with love are great words and reminders for times when we can’t help or heal all the slings and arrows that flesh is heir to… and the woes and harm we fleshly beings cause. I always think of the song “Pieces of the Sky.” “How would you feel if the world was falling apart all around you; pieces of the sky were falling in your neighbor’s yard, but not on you? Wouldn’t you feel just a little bit funny, thinking maybe there’s something you ought to do?” Anyway, thanks. 🥰
Hi Jackie, Thank you for your beautiful and kind words acknowledging the pain and tragedy felt by the Jewish community. You are so right - the most devastating part of this is the loss of our children. So many thanks for all the kindness and beauty you put into the world. I can't wait to see you at Wool and Folk!!!
jackie, love your patterns, love you and i especially love your heart for all people. Praying for the peace of Jerusalem and Isreal!! my heart hurts too for all the innocent. 😢
Thank you for love and support through these terrible times and for acknowledging the devastating and suffering of Israel, especially the innocent children. If only the world could become makers and see the beauty, kindness and friendships that come from creating. ❤️
Wow....lots of lovely cowls.....Love your hair! Enjoy Rhinebeck....I will get there some day! Hugs to all the people that are hurting....thinking of all of you and sending words of safety your way.
Thank you for your thoughtful words and support. I live in Israel and my daughter had 7 of her friends murdered at the music festival😢 thank you for your podcasts they are some relief during these horrendous days . Your insightful poems and talent are inspiring. Sending love 💕
You and Caitlin are such beautiful people and your friendship is beautiful. ❤your grace and passion is beautiful to observe and I look forward to your videos. I am the opposite of you… loud, and opinionated so it is refreshing and inspiring to watch such a beautiful, kind and beautiful soul! 🤗 🤗 ❤ I want to knit all your shrugs… I just need more time in the day. Lately I am lucky if I get 20 mins before bed. 😫🫠
Love the cinch and Soho square. It’s on my ever expanding list of things I want to make. I believe at times like these we do what we do best. Talking about knitting and yarn and gathering together heals the world in its own way. I hope to meet you at one of the events. ❤
Thank you for your podcast. We all hope and pray for those hurting. It is a difficult time but you are a light that brings joy to others as we must all try to do.
Thank you Jackie for putting our pain into words, I’m crying along with you. The world definitely needs more love and acceptance of our differences which I choose to celebrate and embrace. Enjoy your time in NY with your friends ❤️🙏🏼
You have such a beautiful, warm and loving soul. Thanks for sharing your wise words and kind perspective in such a devastating time. Enjoy being at Rhinebeck. Always enjoy how you style your knits.
You make my knitting way more FUN!!! I love your sense of style and your creativity ❤ You have a loving spirit, and I wish I could give you a hug. I hope there are more of us that appreciate you than those who are concerned with you touching your hair. Those people just need to stay home. PRAY for the PEACE of Jerusalem. Amen.
Everything is so cute, Jackie! Your hair, the shrugs and your newer squares! I’m sure the clients of the boutique love your style and creativity. Thank you for your vulnerability and sharing some of your life with us. Wishing you many blessings during this holiday season. 🧶🙏💕
You said all the right words. It is hard times and it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it and waking up finding myself say did that really happen. Thank you for your podcast
Love your Cinch shrug! It would be great if you could do a short video explaining the pattern 😊Love your sincerity and love for others. You are such a caring person. Your hair looks great and touch it all you want ❤❤
I am stunned that anyone watching beautiful you or anyone else who puts themselves out there with bravery and vulnerability could say something like "you touch your hair too much" - I appreciate you very much and thank you for everything. It has been a real pleasure seeing you grow in this community and I look forward to much more to come. ❤
I love your style and seeing all the different versions of your patterns. I’m really enjoying knitting the wink and I’m almost at the halfway mark. Thank you so much for the tutorials in the pattern they have been immensely helpful. Have fun at Reinbeck 🎉
I love watching you every single time and love it exactly the way you do … touching your hair, talking with your beautiful soft voice and being the beautiful, charming person that you are. Do not change a thing because that is what brings all of us here … to watch you and your beautiful style ( we love and miss Caitlin also) … be you and let whoever made any of those comments take a hike because they don’t belong here anyways. I bought both patterns and I’m working on them right now … so exciting 💖😘
Yes! Touch your hair, speak in your normal voice and I will continue to watch your videos with great pleasure. I am so tired of people criticizing such minutia. It takes courage to podcast and put your true self out there!❤🙏
Thank you Jackie for your wonderful words and inspiration and I agree with many below that you should just be you and you so vulnerably share with all of us which is such a brave and beautiful way to be so keep shining your light and know how much it means to so many of us 🙏💃💥💪🧶🧶🧶🙏🌈
This was a beautiful message, thank you. The patterns, the color, but most urgently, the connection. That's the answer to everything. Have a beautiful Rhinebeck. I hope to attend next year, but for now, I'm looking forward to when you and Caitlin's share your adventures with us.
Jackie, this was such a beautiful episode. So happy to have you show up as you are, and I'll try to do the same. Thank you for being such a source of light right now. Excited to give you a squeeze at Rhinebeck. xxoo, Hannah
Thank you for reading from Louise’s book. I was lucky enough to have her as a teacher. What a great, brave, interesting, strong and self-admittedly, flawed woman. A hell of an example and a hell of a poet. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Sending you (and Caitlin and Sally) a safe hug. Thank you for sharing colors, styles and all the woolly things - we each need our own strategy for dealing with today's world. Color was invented to cheer us - sunsets and sunrises, yarn and forests. I am hopeful that you pace yourself in the coming days. Stay well - one day at a time....knitting will help keep us keep calm. ❤🧶
You are a gentle soul. Sending you the biggest hug (hopefully you will take a hug from a stranger 💗). The mauve/lilac colour is so you. It is you. Knit it up and know that the colour is you sweetheart.
Loving my shrugs. Working on a Gallus. It’s really a feeling of being wrapped in these sisterly fibers that stream and connect all of us. Magical threads connecting our hearts. Thank you for this podcast, bearing your heart and also your intuitiveness. I wish somehow someday to make it to Rhinebeck. Peace to you.
I lost my Mom too dear sweet Jackie. It's been 5 yrs for me but the hole is still there and I hope it will never totally fill in. We miss them very much and they follow us everywhere ❤️
Just finished the Friday shrug and love the fullness at the neck! Getting ready to start a wink using gloaming, can't wait. Like all the other comments I love how you style things and think you are fabulous. Thank you for always iterating your patterns and colors!
Thank you Jackie! And I miss Caitlin! I was so pleased to see that you include the option of turning a current Shrug WIP into a Cinch - how generous of you. Your Cinch pattern answers so many questions - love it. So looking forward to tuning in to a Rhinebeck edition between you and Amy Palko. I'm grateful for the new invention of the volume option on videos - truly takes care of the "I can't hear you" issue some seem to have?!
One way to look at “us” in this moment is to recognize that continued support of creators, crafts people, and vendors is most likely supporting children. I appreciate your care and emotional investment in the people of the world. No one wants to see innocents hurts.💗💗💗
Your description of the shrugs and how they were designed is very helpful! I have a couple of the different shrug versions kitted and ready to go and I'll refer back to this video as I go along. Even though it's going to be a rainy few days, I hope you enjoy Wool & Folk and Rhinebeck! Looking forward to hearing all about it in future podcasts.
Thank you Jackie, for sharing your grief and love. You are a beautiful soul and your message was felt. It was like a hug as we are all spinning and hurting. 🤍✨
Oh fab fab fab! I just turn up the volume (that was hard!) and having cut all my hair off 15 years ago, I love and appreciate beautiful hair. Touch away, I would if I had it 😊 Enjoy Rhinebeck and thanks for sharing and inspiring 💕

Love all your ideas for styling. It's just got cold here in the UK so I have another shrug on the needles 😊
Thank you for the beautiful patterns. I have my soho square yarn queued up and I cant wait! Would love a quick demo on the micro stripes and the twisting at the beginning of round technique if possible ❤
It’s on our IG under techniques.

Lovely❤❤❤
Thank you so much for acknowledging the vulnerability that Jewish people are feeling! You said it beautifully and it means so much! Looking forward to seeing you at Rhinebeck this weekend 🇮🇱❤
Hi Dafna, There will be a gathering of Jewish knitters ( and non Jewish allies) at Rhinebeck at the Sugar Shack at 2:00 on Saturday. Please come!!!
@@mindykirschner2979 Just scrolling through and noticed this. I’m so sorry I missed this. Next year I’ll be there!
Thank you for sharing your shrugs. I have made four now and I am half way on my first wink. Just ordered the micro stripes kit😊 Love your podcast💕
I love the orchid color for you. so much nicer than what I call the other "flight stewardess colors" you love. i dont know, but even the style, just reminds me of air stewardesses.
I should've waited to comment....Color Analysis! Yes! Last year I had my colors done by Sarah Edland in Fargo, ND, and it's the most fun I've had as an adult. So, so worth it. And why did I do it? Because I wanted to be more intentional about the colors I chose for my knits. I wanted to stop wasting time and money on a garment that didn't sing to me in the end. I feared it might limit my color choices, but it did the opposite. I am wearing WAY more color than before and I already loved color(some just didn't love me back. lol) I so hope you do an episode about it. And that lavender on you? YES👏
Looking forward to meeting in person this weekend- beautifully spoken words.
Love and hugs
Hold on! People complained you touch your hair too much? 😂😂😂 from a person who had none/ no hair/ bald and may had not make it and be here today thanks for my amazing doctors and the prayers of this community… from me to the haters; get a life! Touch your hair, love it Jackie ❤
Your Rhinebeck color scheme/outfit was everything! What was the gold colorway you used? I hope you made it home safely!
Love your aesthetic
