You can use fast video memory access on like 99% of the games. HS is no exception. Its faster. I prefer your unlisted video, because I dont want to use VEG's patch
Your patch is great. However, the gap of textures quality, driving and sound between psx and pc cars is incredible, ps1 version is the best. This game deserves a good remaster based on gameplay and art direction of ps1 version
@@AuToMaNiAk005 Yes, I did everything right, now the problem is different, my monitor is 21:9 and it is stretched without being in 21:9, I used vgvoodoo and set it to 2560x1080 resolution and it didn't work, what should I do to make it not stretched? the screen is disproportionate and really leaves it in 21:9?
Thanks for the guide =) Is it possible to make it work on the nglide driver? The DX8 driver doesn't suppport fog, which makes the game look a lot worse, liveless.
The inconveniences of the DX8 mode are the reasons why I made a windowed version which supports DX7 (which I think is better than 3dfx). Unlike D3D, 3dfx has a strict resolution support. Even if you've managed to force a widescreen resolution in the game (e.g. you've replaced 1280x1024 with 1280x720), the video mode remains at the old resolution, so the game image will cover only a part of the screen; thus, running the game at fullscreen will be pointless. Unfortunately, in this game it also applies to the DX7 mode (except for dxWnd, but forcing a widescreen video mode here causes heavy glitches). If you don't want to play at windowed mode, you can try this tutorial (but you'll get stretched HUD): cohost.org/idadeerz/post/2460475-installing-nfs-iv-h
@@AuToMaNiAk005 Can the guide with stretched HUD be edited following your old guide (th-cam.com/video/E2zQ_5QX6FM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pGnOG-NM0TsdFkqH) to at least have aspect corrected gauges?
@@donelbueno3543 Yesn't. In my old tutorial, needles are stretched (when we mix it with fixed backgrounds, the needles show wrong values). Proportions of things such as 3D image, text and the needles depend of the in-game's resolution aspect ratio. Felix Krull managed to change the 3D image independently of the resolution. Maybe ask him if he can do the same with the HUD.
The music in this game is the best for a racing game. Callista is a real summer track.
:O New fix. Might try on my dell OptiPlex Retro PC. it run Windows 7 and 11 on 2 SSD's before anyone asks.
I did have trouble with the last fix.
Nice fix, altough I noticed the rear view mirror is a bit off centered
Always has been.
Thank you so, so much!

It doesn't work. Both 16x9 and 16x10 narrows the screen from bottom, giving a black stripe!
Seems that you're playing the game in fullscreen mode in DX7. Either set the _ThrashDriver_ to *DX8* or follow the windowed mode method.
@@AuToMaNiAk005 Cheers! Do you know which is the offset value in hex editor for the cameras. The exterior cameras are too far and too close.

The game starts, but when the race is going on, the screen is black except for the HUD, why?
Have you used dgVoodoo?

1. Have you added the *1280x540* resolution?
2. Did you run the game with NFS4_64x27_Fullscreen.exe?
Same. Had to change the type in the ini file of the dx8 driver to "Type=voodoo" or else it would show no resolutions for me in the graphics options.
Thanks for the guide =)

I have black bars on top and bottom of the screen
Turn off the "Widescreen" option.
change FOV (Custom field of view) is possible?
Open *nfs4.exe* file in a hex editor and change value in *00191ED1* offset.
i find only 00191ED0 :(

Could u do the same with the HP2 on PS2? _Aero did a try, but was dropped
1. I've never modded any console game.
2. But _Aero made a HUD fix for widescreen.
so 21:9 is possible?
Yes, but you'll have to add a custom resolution in your GPU control panel if you'd like to play the game at fullscreen.
