40-55fps when it doesn't reach the max temperature. 30fps if reached 45 degree celcius. If you set to the lowest setting, I think it will be better. But still I won't call it smooth, I have 855+ device that run same graphics at 60fps, but it's hot as fire.

I was wondering between the OP 8t and the S20 FE 5G as i could get them for the same price and major cons are the camera on the 8t (S 20 FE is better) while the charging on the 8t is way better. But since gaming is the same on both of them, both don't have a headphone jack i have to decide between camera and charging. I think i will go for the S20 FE because i had the OP 5t before and i felt it lacking in the camera departement too many times to ignore. Keep making good reviews. A lot of misleading videos are out there where they don't show the graphics settings

Not really. Lithium ion batteries these days are very resilient. Thing is, 45°C is the Goldilocks of temperature where it's warm to the user but not uncomfortable to hold.

45C is still perfectly fine for the battery. Batteries can operate all the way until 65C and still be safe, so no issues there. The 45C limit is only to protect the user from getting their hands burned. I think the heat issue is pretty much... exaggerated.

genshin impact is super heavy on phone. even on rog 5 you barely touch 60fps. during fights it goes around 45 to 55 fps. only PC can render full 60fps nonstop. different story on iphone because of software OPTIMIZATION.

It's my pleasure to reply the comments. I'm really happy with the S20 FE's build quality and software in general - better user experience compared to the Mi 10T Pro overall, IMO. I use my phone mostly for work - so your usage may vary.
Hmmm... Depends on what you want to do with the phone. I assume you're going to mainly play games on the phone - and with that, I suggest the ROG Phone 5. But heat issue with that phone on certain games is just insane. Nonetheless, our review of the ROG Phone 5 will come soon.

I suggest you wait for our ROG Phone 5 review and see how things go? We do have photography test as well. It takes pretty good pics, honestly. Samsung offers OIS and much better ecosystem overall but ultimately depends on what sort of compromises you can make. Also if you're not going to bring other accessories alongside the phone for gaming (e.g. ROG Phone with the AeroActive Cooler 5) then the S20 FE 5G is the best choice.
S20 FE 4G or 5G? But either way, the definition of "very hot" differs from people to people. For me personally, it's much cooler and comfortable to touch compared to the Mi 11.

Yeah, "very smooth" 30 fps in combat... as someone who plays Genshin at a solid 60 on a gaming PC, thats unplayable for me.

S20 FE 5G because of two reasons - Snapdragon 865 is better than Kirin 990, and the S20 FE has Google. Saves you a lot of problems.

Nope. Not yet. As far as I've tested, the Snapdragon 865 does not have 90fps for PUBG Mobile yet. So we'll have to wait.
