I have the Blur (in the 12C28N i believe). I absolutely love it. I've cut plastic, cardboard, a bit of wood, and it is still shavin sharp! I really want the s30v version, and after watching this, i DEFINITELY want it!
Need more videos showing what a knife can really do! The Blur is an excellent blade. Thank you for taking the time to show the knife's versatility. Well prepared and very concise video. Thanks again.
I saw that video, and I will say that I like axis locks more but the tip and liner lock on the S30V version of the Blur are thicker then on the original Sanvik model. The Late Boy Scout was only using the original and not the S30V. I stabbed and pried really hard with my model and totally trust the lockup and tip.
Glad you enjoyed the video Roger, I will check it out. I have yet to use a convex edge blade. I want to get a falkniven or a blackjack tac for my first one.
I just picked one up for about 80 bucks and it really does feel nice. The grip is amazing and the blade from the factory comes beautifully sharpened. Will shave the hair right off your arm.
That's all speedsafe knifes, They have a bit of spring tension behind them, so they can pop out and deploy if you drop them the right way. I don't mind that as long as the lock doesn't fail, and it doesn't.
Just started collecting. The blur in s30v is my fourth knife. Found a screaming deal on knifeworks.com... $52! That's $30 less than amazon. Will do a thorough check when I get it to be sure it's in new condition.
I don't know is it really better steel than the 14C28N version because I've tried 14C28N on Kershaw Knockout and it slices unique everything. The price here in my coutry is 190$ for Blur S30V and for the 14C28n is 150$, I think is very expensive (than USA).
Thanks for the vid brother Been looking at the folder for a while. I'm pretty cheap with the folders though. I currently have some of the cheaper Kershaws and Spydercos. Been real happy with them so far.
For the $67 still going price, it really can't be beat. So comfortable to use. Kershaw quality for the price is only matched by Spyderco. It's an easy choice considering the S30V steel and overall quality. One of my favorite knives ( Kershaw Rake and Spyderco Sage 1 being the other two). None of them cost over $100.
3:48 i find it somehow funny that you trust that linerlock. there are so many reviews out there showing the blur collapsing if you put a little bit of pressure to the spine.
@@1594simonsays open the knife up and push the liner lock very lightly over to the right and then open it really hard while you're watching a commercial or something after doing that and the liner lock will go over further to the right therefore locking it in place stronger
Be careful because the Late Boy Scout's Blur liner lock fails on one of his Blurs and it cut his pinkie. I'm thinking about getting one but don't really like liner locks. I prefer Benchmade Axis lock
Does this version of the blur have the failing locking problem like lateboyscout highlighted. It's a tossup for me between this and the Buck vantage with s30v.
Hey, like ur videos a lot, big fan, Does the open assist could be dangerous inside the pocket, for any kind of accident, I'm a clumsy person, the other day I bent the pocket clip of my buck bantam, I was playing pool, and I hit somehow against the corner of the table and the result was that the clip pocket of the folding was not functional anymore. Hope you can help me with this, THANK YOU

Awesome review! Just picked one up today after watching your video. Good tip on filing the thumbstuds. Check out my video on convex sharpening. Love to hear your take on convex edges.
Where the hell do you find a blur that cuts like I see on so many TH-cam vids??? I've bought 2 and they are both poo! More like butter knives! And Kershaw wants me to pay them to fix a blade that chipped ...wait for it... chipped cutting a ZIP-TIE! A house hold zip-tie! I'm blown away at how HARD it is to find knives that do what you see on TH-cam vids! Please someone tell me what is going on with this issue! This is only 1 model of many Ive had this issue with! Knives just don't do as shown in TH-cam reviews... I'm a reviewer and post vids. I look like a tard when I post cause my blades do not perform at all like shown in "big time knife reviewer's " vids! Anyone ....?
BackyardKnives &Shyt 90% of blades to not come with a very good factory edge. You have to be good at resharping. I suggest the workshop field sharpener, $30 and well worth it. I have own 25 kershaws and never had one chip out on my like you are describing. Watch some videos on reprofiling and resharpening edges and I think that will help you.

I have an older Blur and absolutely love it. To me, the ergonomics are perfect. The size and the action are awesome.

Awesome EDC. And an amazing value, at that!

Do do the reverse grip like he did it known for failing from stuff like that watch the late boy scouts vid and crocket 20 vid
Loved my blurres!(both stolen over the years) always said I'd replace them at some point
Kershaw blur is one of the best out there best bang for your dollar review was excellent thanks for info
I tried to. The S30V is much better then the Sanvik version. It is much stronger.
Great knife - my only complaint is it deploys when you drop it on a hard/semi-hard surface.

Both are good steels. Neither should disappoint.
That looks great. I do like the recurve. This may replace my current and old edc.
+Eric Nash recurve knives are good but are a bitch to sharpen
Did it replace your EDC?
Thanks epicness!

Quite frankly, I think kershaw blades look better/more traditional. Spyderco blades look tacky and cheap to me.
Hey GT, wad wondering if u could post a vid about that paracord bracelet u got on this video? What kind of weave is it?

Awesome, do you recommend it for scouts?
Fantastic! Cant wait to get mine :)

Kannyou do comparison of this and the manix light weight
Love my s30v blur after 2 years of uses still dnt have to sharpen

I've had mine for 5 years and I'm just now sending it in the Kershaw for some maintenance and sharpening

How would you compare the thumb studs to other kershaw flippers?
They are some of the best around.
Could u do a review of the leatherman wave
I will some time this year.

Christopher Wetta It considered illegal to own one in the state of Colorado.

Thank you very much
No problem!
Should I go for the serrated version or straight for a hiking knife? What do you think?
+David Shaw Plain edge every time. Serration are never my preference.
Awesome. Just bought one. Thanks.
I want a revisit of this! Or at least a 2nd review since I'm buying one.
