Had a brief NYE happy hour to stop at and didn’t know what to wear, then I thought back to the moment Alyssa put a sweater over a sparkly dress, and that was it!! 14:16 Threw my off the shoulder cozy black sweater over a light pink spaghetti strap calf-length sequined dress and added black tights and booties to match. I got so many compliments on my “skirt” and felt great in my old favorites. Thanks for the inspo, Alyssa!
What kind of magic do you possess that you can make the rest of that evening gown dissappear under your tulle skirt!?!?! That outfit was probably my favorite.
You tucked a full length gown under that tulle skirt AND wore it backwards. I NEVER would have thought of doing something like that. Amazing and gorgeous outfit!
@@corinnelizza6135I’d love to know too. Everything I find is too shiny, too plasticky, ick. I’m assuming they’re an old pair, but even knowing the brand would be useful.
Hi Alyssa. I am a 70 year old woman and I love following your videos. After a lifetime of over buying I am trying to change my habits. I remember a long while back you featured a video with your Mom. I loved seeing the small trees that you made to show how someone older could wear the same things but with a little tweek. Would you consider doing something like that again. Thanks!!
Great follow up from your recent holiday dressing video! I love how you incorporated holiday “ish” pieces into outfits with interesting contrast, outfits that suggest “dressy” but are comfortable and easy to wear too. Easy is one of my 3 style words because that’s how I want my pieces to feel- easy to wear, easy to layer, and easy to mix and match. Have a beautiful day!
You are so creative with your clothes. I am a very classic gal, so my favorite look is the black blazer outfit. However, my second favorite look is the tulle skirt. Maybe you can get a sparkly top so you don't have to stuff in the dress! Enjoyed this video.
Great video. I love that you used what you already own. When you said car coat that took me back to my childhood. My dad used to call a coat (car coat) and I have not heard it called that since, and I'm a 50's child. 🥰
I’m from the US and in my mid sixties. I always thought of a car coat as being shorter, ending at about mid thigh. Long enough to cover your rear end, but shorter for ease of driving in it and the coat wouldn’t come in contact with the floor of the car.
I love adding a red pair of shoes and a red lip to jazz up any outfit! I also like adding a broach to my winter coats for a little something extra. Great festive ideas in this video!
Love love love this video! So many great ideas - the dress backwards and tucked in as a top under a voluminous skirt? Genius! The sweater over the sparkly gown with tall boots and a sheer tight? Gorgeous! The color combo of mint green, gold, and bright red? Inspired! Thank you for a video making the most of your wonderful clothes 🙏🏻 You don't owe us anything and FWIW your existing closet is always the most inspiring to me ❤ Big fan! If you ever come out to LA and do a meet up I'm there!
Thank you for bringing a practical, flexible approach to holiday/event dressing. I love when you show outfits with the tension in elements. Although my frame and style essence bend classic, everything time you illustrate that approach I walk into my closet and see opportunities to bring that principle to my look. Love it!
Dear Alyssa thank you so much for great ideas! I absolutely adore the tulle skirt!💖💖💖 Thanks to you I look my wardrobe in a different light.😊🙏 I can wait your next video! Hugs and kisses from Croatia!😘🥰
Such a great roundup of looks! Holiday style is so fun to explore. I’ve been experimenting with styling holiday looks from pieces I already own as well. I love how you’re making older pieces feel fresh🎄
Loved how creative you were with your closet❤ I was surprised how well the red shoes worked with every look, I used to own a pair just like that in the 90s😉
Great outfit ideas Alyssa! My favorites are the green gown with the black turtle neck and the last one for an outdoor event, which is so unexpectable to propose!Apollo is such a lovely pet! Happy Holidays everyone!
Thanks Alyssa. Of course the outfit that I love the most is the last one all bundled in layers with the leggings, haha. I wear woolx wool leggings in the winter exclusively,. So warm. Thanks darling. Hope Apollo has some ear muffs! :)
@AlyssaBeltempo gosh! I have been envious of those subtly gold jeans. I remember a couple of years ago, I looked everywhere online for them, to no avail. Still, talk about a classic. And a black suit, red pumps, that versatile green dress and the cream skirt. I don't have more than a couple of events, and i think i would be set for a decade. Love your method. ❤
All the outfits are great and have given me some good ideas that i didn't think before to use in my own wardrobe you look great in the gold jeans where did you get them from .
Wonderful holiday styles! After watching, I created my own list of outfits to try from my own closet! Thanks for the inspiration and insights, Alyssa!✨
Thank you for the tulle skirt ensemble with jacket/blazer more my taste. I was gonna pass the skirt on because of the color/blue however I’m gonna work it out😊 Always enjoy your suggestions.
Really love it when you do the actual outfit ideas more than just the concept. Thank you so much! I know that your emphasis is on using what you have… But sometimes I really wish you had links. I loved that bustiers with the white and black… Would be wonderful if you could include that. If I’m missing where you have, shame on me! Lol.
I've been eyeing some sequin pants before Christmas and still am thinking about buying them but... How versatile are they really? I'm scared to end up wearing it only for the holiday season. What's your tip?
Wow :) Are you travelling or just filming in another setting? Imagine travelling with a 'holiday capsule' for the whole month of December :)))) This is so inspiring! I don't have any holiday plans but it made me open my Indyx app to play a bit :) P.S. I loved everything except for the looks with denim jacket - I was meaning not to put mine away for the colder season this time and try to style it, but it just feels off all the time. Maybe in some cases/on some people it would look ok but just not where I live or on the occasions I happen to frequent.
Bellissime idee come sempre sei bravissima a reinterpretare i tuoi capi ma mi piacerebbe vedere come sei riuscita a occultare l abito verde sotto la gonna😂
Great video with great outfit inspirations! I however have the problem that I am not able to wear high heels, I just cannnot immagine how a person can walk or eaven dance with things like that 😅 ... my whole live I have always been wearing only flats because I just cannot walk in heels! So it makes it a bit hard for special occasion outfits... any idea?
I have a problem with the ''rule'' that the coat should be the length of the dress because I just think it's a major purchased (being Canadian) for limited wear.... Do people really care about what coat you wear if you are going straight for the coat check??? asking for a friend LOL

omg love this story! thank you for sharing!

Hahahaha. I was wondering if anyone else thought the same.. I know, Right? It 's fabulous.. She is Fabulous
You tucked a full length gown under that tulle skirt AND wore it backwards. I NEVER would have thought of doing something like that. Amazing and gorgeous outfit!
Not even going to lie I squealed like a little girl when the tulle skirt came out! Omg its my favorite!!
Va va voom on those gold pants!!!
Ahh thank you!

I don’t think you could look bad in anything!! You are so elegant in all that you wear - a perfect reflection of who you are ,,,

Very creative and helpful ideas! Love the 'killer" red heels, too ,too glamorous! Greeting to Apollo , I loved his cameo appearance.
Oooh the sweater over the gown! I have the perfect holiday event to wear this! Ty! Ty!❤
I was thinking a brooch on your stocking hat. That would give an extra sparkle to your winter outfit Or a brooch on your outerwear jacket.
You are so creative with your clothes. I am a very classic gal, so my favorite look is the black blazer outfit. However, my second favorite look is the tulle skirt. Maybe you can get a sparkly top so you don't have to stuff in the dress! Enjoyed this video.
These were some great style tips and outfits! Loved to see your kitty at the end.-Michelle

I’ve never heard it called “car coat”. Is that a British description?
I say car coat too. 70 yr. here.
My Dad also had car coats, I too am in my early seventies.
I’m from the US and in my mid sixties. I always thought of a car coat as being shorter, ending at about mid thigh. Long enough to cover your rear end, but shorter for ease of driving in it and the coat wouldn’t come in contact with the floor of the car.
@wannabe41 Thnx for explaining❤😊
Always appreciate your well organized very simple explanation to achieve great style.
Wow - amazing reuse of the dress in outfit 8
I really liked this Alyssa. You've helped me to think seriously about how to reinvent my mixing and matching. Thank you!
Yesss. I asked for this and will use it. Makes the holidays less stressful
Wow! That was fabulous! I especially loved the black turtleneck and high black boots with your green sparkly dress!!😍
Also, Apollo is adorable❤️
I love adding a red pair of shoes and a red lip to jazz up any outfit! I also like adding a broach to my winter coats for a little something extra. Great festive ideas in this video!

I love it when the gold trousers come out!

❤Apollo. The ‘art gallery’ look is my favorite 🤩
Love the cocktail outfit and elevated dinner (tulle). Stunning! The use of layering is super clever and effective:)
Love the metallic pants!
Great use of what you already have! Thanks for the inspiration!
Those red heels 👠 in your intro. LOVE 💙
Thank you for bringing a practical, flexible approach to holiday/event dressing. I love when you show outfits with the tension in elements. The good pants!!!!❤
The light green sweater with gold pants and red shoes outfit is my favorite 😘

I have very few of your ‘basic’ pieces and even fewer events to attend - but I love seeing your transformations and adaptations!
Love your creativity! The tulle skirt is my fave. What fun!
Thanks Alyssa. Of course the outfit that I love the most is the last one all bundled in layers with the leggings, haha. I wear woolx wool leggings in the winter exclusively,. So warm. Thanks darling. Hope Apollo has some ear muffs! :)

Such a Carrie Bradshaw moment in that tulle skirt! 🤩 and also that green sparkly dress?! Just stunning! Thanks for all the helpful tips ❤
Iam an apple shape, loved your suggestion to pair loose with loose.
SO fantastic as always! Loved each look for different reasons and your descriptions/goals/how to's surrounding them. Many thanks!

Somehow the metallic trousers with the denim jacket is giving me Elvis vibes!
Thank you for great ideas
This was great and perfect timing! My work holiday party/dinner is this week! ❤️🎄
Love this! Curious what you’d pick for each situation if you lived in the Southern Hemisphere and it was 32c around Xmas time 🎉
Perfect timing i have an event tomorrow
The cat have also a well balance color dress and shoes, he surely listen to your video 😊 thank’s Alissa hit again ❤

I think for certain pieces I might!
I was today years old when I learned about temporary stitches in coats and that you are supposed to open them! What else don't i know??
Thanks for this made me think of what I already have ❤
Love this ❤ thanks for all the ideas. I have been looking for a way to style my tulle skirt for ages 😂
Oh Apollo! You are so handsome!😍
I love the longline black blazer with the knit sleeves - can't find it anywhere!
I did. ♥️
I love your jeans who makes them?
The wide leg are vintage banana republic!
Also, love the drama of that long coat! What brand is that?
Where wre the gold pants from? Great outfits!
I've been eyeing some sequin pants before Christmas and still am thinking about buying them but... How versatile are they really? I'm scared to end up wearing it only for the holiday season. What's your tip?
where is the last tutu skirt from?
Wow :) Are you travelling or just filming in another setting?

Alyssa and her🎉
Would the long dress work with a very short cropped jacket though? For example a faux fur
Great video with great outfit inspirations! I however have the problem that I am not able to wear high heels, I just cannnot immagine how a person can walk or eaven dance with things like that 😅 ... my whole live I have always been wearing only flats because I just cannot walk in heels! ❤❤❤
See, I would either go cropped or full length coat with the full length dress. In between is a no no. A short fur coat would look chic.
This video came out just in time because I have so many art gallery galas to go to this season😅😅😅
The tulle skirt with the long dress worn back to front as a top was inspired! I love all your looks, but that one was so original!
I have a problem with the ''rule'' that the coat should be the length of the dress because I just think it's a major purchased (being Canadian) for limited wear.... Do people really care about what coat you wear if you are going straight for the coat check??? asking for a friend LOL
I wish I had a lifestyle that would let me wear a tulle skirt every day 🫅
P.S. 🩷 the kitty.
Genius
😁👌
