- This was an emotional reaction. The Goonies is my favourite film of all time as it makes me think of my Dad, however, I've never listened to this song in full or watched the music video?!? Whenever I hear snippets of Cyndi Lauper singing this track, it brings back so many happy memories for me.
I was watching the recent Netflix documentary 'We Are The World' and when I saw Cyndi come in and nail her solo part, it inspired me to want to make this reaction video. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Love the movie, song and Cyndi Lauper. I enjoy 80's music, but grew up in the 90's. Family & friends told me to check out Cyndi Lauper. Fascinated by her look, colorful hairdos & love her voice. Became a fan, so many awesome songs by her. Yes more reaction videos of Cyndi. Even her live performances are awesome. Boy blue, Money changes everything are live videos.
I grew up in the 80's and 90's and there is definitely something about this era that brings back happy memories for me. It's the sound. The videos. The fashion and look. She's definitely one of these artists where you go "I didn't realise that was her". You are right. So many hits to choose from 😀
@@melvinthinks80's wasn't only about music, it was about image as well. Such a decade of artists that were unique with their style and fashion choices, like Cyndi, MJ, Madonna, Prince and so many, another favorite of mine was Boy George, fascinated with his look. He mentions Cyndi on a interview that she is the female version of him, first time seeing her that she was from his team, and became very good friends according to him. I prefer 80's pop vs 90's pop, but 90's have great rock songs.

I love this reaction video of yours! ♥ Cyndi was my hero in my childhood days and still is today. She has done so many wonderful things and is currently collaborating with Björn from Abba (I can't wait to see what comes of this collaboration)! You definitely have to watch the second part of the video for 'The Goonies 'r' Good Enough'. So cool that she still remains a hero of yours. I think she is playing Glastonbury festival this year. I won't be going but am sure a lot of people will have great fun!
At the beginning when she's hanging around the pick-up truck and the cow, she looks so gorgeous! And that smile melts my heart!

Thanks man! 😀 There was some terrible music in the 1980's, but pop was great imo. As you say, there's a certain sound and twinkle to it. A lot of pop since is just overly saturated and over produced. Plus, the volume of music we have access to nowadays is insane, so when a great pop songs drops, it doesn't have the same impact as it did back then. God I sound old! 🤣
The goonies was such a hit back then. I didn't remember this song being in it till you mentioned it.

Some of my other Favorite Cyndi Lauper Music videos are She Bop, I Drove All Night, Change of Heart, Hole in My Heart (all the way to China), Time After Time, Money Changes Everything, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Heading West and The World is Stone, and Sallys Pigeons. and with The Band "Blue Angel" (in 1980) I Had a Love, I'm Gonna Be Strong and Late.
@@melvinthinksyes it's the conclusion of the story, so as you mentioned it's a mini movie inspired on the film. And yes, those were the wrestlers of the WWF at that time. Unique idea of this video.

Cyndi debut album score four hits on the top 5 on the USA charts, including her #1 hit: Time after time. But if you're in the mood to see her on another fun video with sense of humor like The Goonies R' Good Enough, react to her songs She Bop & Hole in my Heart. Both videos entertaining. My personal favorite video by her is "True Colors", another #1 hit on the USA charts.

Cyndi Lauper have so many great songs. Great entertainer with a great style. She have a huge fan base around the world, and for the longest she is on Spotify top 500 most streamed artists. Timeless classics and some underrated Great songs as well. My favorite song by Cyndi is 'I drove all Night'. Should react to her live performance from her music video 'Money changes Everything's, so much high energy and she rocks. I enjoy 'She Bop' video, so bizarre and fun to watch.

1. Step one: Read her wikipedia bio. It's not complete, and really only hints at her harrowing childhood, but it's a good place to start.
2 Watchthe video, " Cyndi Lauper, Best Live Vocals.
3. Then just start picking out videos of live performances. Everything from her pre fame Blue Angel days to her most recent. There's over forty years of material there, so it could be very time consuming depending on how CYNical you get.

It's weird you mentioned Lovebites. I had a decorator come over to quote last week and we got on the subject of bands and he was a massive Lovebites fan! I wanna do another reaction to them as I think it's been about 6 months since my last one. Recommendations are most welcome. Especially live versions.
