I am a Taiwanese who studied in Thailand for 20 years and I know the history of Thailand and Cambodia. Cambodia was once a colony of Thailand for more than 400 years. In the past, Thailand was called Siam. Siam ruled the Khmer people for over 400 years. The Khmers absorbed the culture from Siam until the Khmer Rouge genocide. Many Khmer people died. People with knowledge fled the country. All that was left were the workers and slaves. As for the older people The Khmer king had to send his children to study art and culture in Thailand. Because Khmer art and culture were lost to the Khmer Rouge genocide.
You need to dig deeper into history b4 the ransack of angkor in 1431 to understand how siam was heavy influence a d how they captured the tradition and label it as siam..Maybe you should come learn world history in America 🇺🇸

Cambodia is trying hard. who want the national costume of Thailand come into your own and chose to forget his own national costume.
Most of what the video clip said was Cambodians just wanted to claim, but they didn't even know how to use it. when they showed it on social medias they made Thais laughed so hard, bc Thais would never do anything like that.
For example, recently a Cambodian man wore a necklace which Siam(Thai) used it as a bikini, when he knew that his excuse was this was used the same way as Indians did. The fact wassssss the design of his necklace was Siamese bikini style.😅😅😅

Anyway Thai people's been wearing Thai traditional dress for more than 600 years, they have all evidences such as pictures of Thai royal family since a camera was made. You can do search for the word " King Mongkut of Siam" he's very famous among the westerners. Many people knows him from a movie " The king and I " and " Anna and the King " There're photos of King Mongkut's wives everywhere on internet. There're also many ancient temples in Thailand that have painting on the wall showing that Siamese ( Thai people ) been wearing Thai dress since more than 600 years ago.

You should not study on Google, Wikipedia, Angkor Wat Wall, or your school for history studies. Instead, you should explore information from various sources and accept the truth that Thai people not came from China, we have evidances supported by DNA evidence from ancient skeletons more than 1000 years old that aligns with the DNA of present-day Thais.

We don't need to claim Thais' culture. We are the mother of South East Asian culture. The Khmer Empire is very old. We are 2000 years old. Thais is 700 years old. Thai came from Yunnan, China. Thais' original culture look like Chinese's. The world knows the truth that Thais copied and relabel and market it to the world. Even Thai said some of their ancestors came from southern China, some are the locals in that regions where Khmer Empire was. The DNA backs it, too.
