A battlecruiser always a good investment in TVZ. It will force Zerg spend ton of gas in scourge and force the defiler to plague the BCs.
The more scourge the Zerg built, less ultra to build in the ground and make MM balls dominated. As long as the defilier use more energy to plague the BCs, it has less energy to throw dark swarm and again MM balls will dominant in the ground.
In short, the BCs will help Terran dominant in the air, forcing the Zerg spend recourses to anti air. Hence lose the battle on the ground...
Im not sure about this. BC spend a lot of resources and they almost always are defeated easily, scourge cost almost nothing.
@@nicolaspalma9362 that's not true. A pair of scourge cost 75 gas. A BC cost 300 gas. Do you know when 2 BC pairs up, how many scourge you need to kill a +1 BC? The answer is 9 scourges (4 will be killed 1 shoot each). It costs you 325 gas. To kill the remained BC you need another 6 scourge, which cost you another 225 gas. It will cost 550 gas to kill 2BC, and an ultralisk only 200 gas.
At the same time the BC always kill your gas extractor, and to kill 2 BC you will build less 3 Ultralisk... If 3 BC pairs up, it needs around 1200 gas. So what do you think now? Maybe just plague it, then less dark swarm will be cast on ground...overall BC not a bad choice
@@nicolaspalma9362 If the Terran has excess minerals/gas like he does at 19:12 then they could be useful. He wasn't maxed on supply and using the BC as simple A move while macroing everything else I guess is worth it. It helped in this game for sure.
The sneaky Battlecruisers made all the difference. Harrasing drones and mining bases.
Not to mention they took out the Spire and Defiler Mound. Plus I counted 25+ drone kills because of BC kills

What a game... the BCs actually helped kill that expo and then the drops top and boxer maneuvers killing drones won it. Flash level play.

T V Z's are always classics. This one seemed super duper close. Especially toward the last third of the game when they were basically trading expansions. I agree that this should have been defcon1 replay!
Falcon, could you do something similar to SaiyanSC with saving best casts of 2024 in a folder for a megavideo at the end of the year? This was a really great skin-of-the-teeth game with a lot of back and forth.

Why dont more terran players use restoration? It would help large expensive units so much. I get the marines but not when there's plagued science vessels and battle cruisers
I don't understand why sk terran don't add a few tanks to their army comp. I understand friendly fire splash damage and it's a bit gas intensive but like 3-4 tanks and don't use siege mode? They do massive damage to ultras with their normal shot with decent range and mobility (firing on the move) I always wondered why late game sk terran in tvz, when you most likely will see ultras, they don't mix a few in at the end-mid to late game. It also gives you utility into dark swarm/lurkers/sunkens offensively on top of the sci vessels as you see in this game are useless mostly when out of energy?

The artillery does as much friendly fire damage and once defilers are deployed, the tech doesn't do anything, but waste resources compared to defense matrix energy stacks.
@@junkgum siege tanks do splash damage into dark swarm and do full damage to buildings like sunkens... But I do agree if you've lost a lot of sci vessels it's better to replace vs add tanks.
What about spider mines? Do they do damage in a dark swarm?@@junkgum
