I went there often as a kid. It was pretty scary. Last time I went must have been 1997. My parents drove us all the way there from NY and it was closed 🤦🏻♂️
I went on an alpine slide in Minnesota last summer. I went over a hill too fast and flipped off my sled, landing on the track. Because I was going so fast, I slid about 20 feet on the concrete track (in my bathing suit mind you). I was instantly in searing pain and I ended up making it down to the bottom with blood covering the backs of my legs. I went to the hospital to discover that I had gotten second-degree burns on the entire back of my legs from about mid-thigh to ankle. The park said it happens all the time and they even had a name for it "track rash". Worst experience of my life
This place was by far the most fun of any amusement park I ever went to in my life. It became an annual event. I remember screwing up my elbow on the Alpine Slide the first time I went on it. The college and HS kids who ran the place during the summer didn’t care what you did! Great memories
I used to go to Action Park every year. My favorite were the motorized mini-tanks that shot tennis balls. You were supposed to shoot a target on the other tanks to make them spin around. (There were also tennis ball guns on the sides of the enclosure so random people could hit you.) The best part was the cab of the tank as surrounded by a metal lattice work that would explode in a cloud of paint chips/rust into your face when you got hit. Good times.
@@therealdave06 Which now focuses on safe rides made by actual amusement and water rides manufacturers that know what theyre doing, and not make their stuff themselves and not knowing what theyre doing.
Nameless King i went to the reopened “mountain creek waterpark” pretty recently and there’s a ride where you stand and a hatch opens underneath you and you fall into a slide. Still pretty dangerous even without the loop de loop slide
Rohan Khatri almost every water park has the hatchet slides they are very common. I’ve never been to water park there only snowboarding so I can’t rlly say anything
"touched live wire, and killed him." "it induced a heart attack, and killed him." "hit his head on a rock, which killed him." along with: lots of drowning lots of bruises lots of really bad headaches 'Tis the beautiful noise of the cacophony of death.
As a New Jerseyan I can confirm that action park is a blast. The park is still open if you want to go. It’s just under a new name. “Mountain Creek Water Park” multiple people have died there since it reopened.
Bruh! I live not too far from there! I actually went there a couple times. They renamed it Mountain Creek I think. Once I had actually hit my head on a slide.
I went to that park no less than half a dozen times growing up - I flew off the Alpine Slide a few times, and worst I ever got was some skin off my legs on the slide. That loop water slide was insane - I went on it once and survived and it freaked me out, so never again. We called the place "Death Park". Some of the best high school memories were made there ;-)
The craziest part is that out of all these rides, the most deadly one is the only one I've experienced. Many times, even. Wave pools area pretty common at public swimming centers in Sweden, and they're a ton of fun too. Of course, most people know how to swim here since it's required to learn in elementary school, but they don't exactly ask you to prove it before getting in a pool, and I'd be surprised if no one has ever died in any of the wave pools here.
My dad went here when he was little and he was in line for the loop water slide when a nail came loose and tore up someone’s back as they went down. He said he could see the water turn slightly red as he came out. He also rode the alpine slide and still has the scar from when he took a corner too hard and fell off.
Fun fact. For the numbers at the start of the video. This is not just about the rides. The number of people to the ER also includes things like someone tripping and breaking something, or someone collapsing. The number is not all about people who were injured on rides.
I’ve been to the newer version of Action Park (yes it reopened) but it’s sadly not the same as the original. I used to live in NJ so I wasn’t that far from the park and it’s also a nice ski resort too during the winter season
What do you expect safty doesn't always equal fun and theres so many safty laws today that it's not even held in moderation anymore just redicoulsly cautious as everyone is afraid of geting sued, fun requires risk, and risk is being taken out of everything problem is there is such a thing as too much risk and that was the problem with the orignal action park so basicly it just went from one extreme to the other
@@demi-fiendoftime3825 The six people who died at action park didn't have much fun. Nor their families. Or the countless people injured there. If your version of fun requires people to die, I really don't want to go wherever you think is fun. @@jasper3706 I'm not saying the injury rate should be higher I'm just saying people are too cautious now to the point it can hold back the fun. That park whent from one extream to the other is what I'm getting at.
I went on the tube slide that went into that freezing cold water. It was awesome, in my childhood opinion. The cliffs you could jump off of were also a ton of fun and probably much safer then the cliffs we would jump off into the Delaware when we were rafting in the summer. I do remember getting stuck in a slide and slamming on my stomach and then getting hit by the person that was coming behind me. I can’t remember if it was that slide with the loop though.
With the loop, I would be far more worried about not making it around and ending up trapped between the bottom of the ramp and the beginning of the loop.
I took my daughter there many years ago...like 30 or so. I completely agree with this. I'm a thrill seeker and that bob sled thru me for a loop. Literally, took a curve and ended up some odd number of feet in grass dazed and confused. Yea, had an incident on that water thing. That's all I'll say. Took my daughter home early.

Worst experience of my life
Ouch..hope youre alright
If it "happens all the time," and thats coming from the park itself, then why the FRICK have they not made it safer or shut it down
aaaaaaaaaaaaa :(
Alpine slides are old school fuck around get hurt lolll still I love them awesome childhood memories and still fun as an adult.

*There's nothing in the world like Action Park!*
I believe that.
This place was by far the most fun of any amusement park I ever went to in my life. It became an annual event. I remember screwing up my elbow on the Alpine Slide the first time I went on it. The college and HS kids who ran the place during the summer didn’t care what you did! Great memories

Lol looks like alot of fun tbh, I’d sign a waiver.
I feel like this park was designed by a serial killer.

Good times.

Ah Action Park and its infamous loop tube ride. This whole park is just hilarious.
And also deadly.

I did not expect a freaking loop on a water slide😂
Neither did literally anyone else in history except for the insane dude who made that slide
It gives one in Germany with a loop, its doable but u need to be instructed well and watched out for
Despite it literally being in the thumbnail?
Alexander its an odd loop too. Some slides have a loop. I’ve seen a water slide that has a loop, and they are very different.
It was actually designed by the owner
I actually lost it at the loop de loop slide part. Been laughing for five minutes! 🤣
I’ve never been to water park there only snowboarding so I can’t rlly say anything

how dangerous is it compared to Fiery Fist O' Pain?
Considering the fact that on the Fiery Fist O' Pain has your spine fly out of your body, i think it would be the Fiery Fist O' Pain.
As a New Jerseyan I can confirm that action park is a blast. The park is still open if you want to go. It’s just under a new name. “Mountain Creek Water Park” multiple people have died there since it reopened.
We could have bought so many Corollas at the expense of this Park
Bruh! I live not too far from there! I actually went there a couple times. They renamed it Mountain Creek I think. Once I had actually hit my head on a slide.
The recommended videos for me include RTGame's video where he builds a roller coaster that blends people in Planet Coaster
Two years later and this video is still one of your best. Such a classic
When this place reopened as mountain creek I wanted to go so bad as a kid... my parents wouldn't take me and never explained why. Now I know.
A lot of people probably came to the park BECAUSE of its reputation..
You survived you got bragging rights
They should print a shirt with "I survived Action Park" written on it
I went to that park no less than half a dozen times growing up - I flew off the Alpine Slide a few times, and worst I ever got was some skin off my legs on the slide. That loop water slide was insane - I went on it once and survived and it freaked me out, so never again. We called the place "Death Park". Some of the best high school memories were made there ;-)

Watch Action Point. It's the movie version of Action Park.
Don't watch it. It's one of the worst movies ever made.

I knew almost all about this from Good Mythical Morning but I watched the whole thing because RealLifeLore videos are just so damn good
My dad went here when he was little and he was in line for the loop water slide when a nail came loose and tore up someone’s back as they went down. He said he could see the water turn slightly red as he came out. He also rode the alpine slide and still has the scar from when he took a corner too hard and fell off.
should not have been drinking water while reading that
Loose nail or possibly those teeth that they mention in other Action Park vids, from someone smashing their jaw on the loop bit? Either way, grim.
Hunger Games: Theme Park Edition
This place would actually be a cool site for a Hunger Games.
The tributes would probably throw each other down the rides.
"I ain't leavin this park unless it's in a body bag!"
The weed that the owner of this park smoked was too damn potent!
you mean the alcohol the children were drinking

I'll stick with my 0.002% injury rate thank you very much
Also in what universe is 7000 injuries a year too safe
@@jasper3706 I'm not saying the injury rate should be higher I'm just saying people are too cautious now to the point it can hold back the fun. That park whent from one extream to the other is what I'm getting at.

The Original wasn't Safe because of Series of Injuries
I went on the tube slide that went into that freezing cold water. It was awesome, in my childhood opinion. The cliffs you could jump off of were also a ton of fun and probably much safer then the cliffs we would jump off into the Delaware when we were rafting in the summer. I do remember getting stuck in a slide and slamming on my stomach and then getting hit by the person that was coming behind me. I can’t remember if it was that slide with the loop though.
This would make an incredible horror teen movie. "They were on vacation, ready to have fun, then amusement turned into... horror"

Good job reaching 3M subscribers. I love your channel and so does the other 3M people
With the loop, I would be far more worried about not making it around and ending up trapped between the bottom of the ramp and the beginning of the loop.
I'd be scared of the pain, which is why I try to avoid non-GCI or RMC wooden coasters
