If 50lbs or 2 duffels of diamonds a person totals $20 million then it's believable that they may have only stole that much. I’ve read the book about this heist years ago, it stated some other facts, like for example the main character did not use a camera but had a photografic memory wich makes this even more spectaculair, besides when they left the diamond centre they stayed in Antwerpen for several days in their rented appartment, they agreed to leave one by one to italy with approximatly 8 to 10 hours between the next person to leave, the last one was told to take all the garbage bags out of the bins to burn them, but out of lazyness he trew them randomly out of his car on his way to italy. One of those bags was found by a farmer on his land next to the highway, it contained different types of currency, some small stones because they they took so much, garbage, and between all that the buisnisscard of the main character, if they didn’t find that, they would have never been caught. The money/diamonds however are never found 😂

One sticky boi
*When you have a person like Tokyo in your gang...*

@@nutlover3609 I dont think they're that comprehensive, since his teammates were that smart, they have easily laundered the money by now, making stolen money transactions undetectable from normal money.
@@deadpirateroberts9937 it's extremely easy to launder diamonds, all you have to do is to sell them slowly over the course of 1-2 years in every pawn shop of europe and ask them to pay you with a check. then you can open a front business to make it look legit. when he gets out he will probably get his share + a few millions for not telling on them, then left alone. how will they do it is fairly simple, just send money trough the post.
@@AleXcsGaming "fairly simple"

No food while robbing and even if your vault is super strong, social engineering will make your password look like 1234.

There is a very good book about this heist called Flawless
"Stealing might get you in jail for a long time".
But not stealing might get you in work for a long time!
Basically, you don't really have much choice, if looking carefully x)
Imagine the reactions of the inmates when they ask “what are you in for?” And he says “I robbed the most secure diamond vault and stole 100 million”
underrated
They should’ve been allowed to keep half of it because of how good they did it
lmao the kept all of it
@@zet5697 no because they were caught
