  • During the colder moths a favourite quarry for many is the beautiful grayling, a fish that is catchable no matter how cold it gets!
Adam Jones heads down to Dorset to fish the river Frome, a mecca for big grayling!

Very interesting on the short life span ,,, remember getting a fish of a pound with adipose fin deformation then catching it a year later in the same swim at 1lb 12oz ,, mad how they stay in the same area with massive spate flooding on the ribble, whats the life span for grayling

Cracking video,, love Big grayling on the ribble not lots of them but some big uns ,, ive only had em when is very clear water is this normal for this type of river. 👍

Love the Frome, fished March this year trotting on a club water. We had some nice Grayling topped by my pals whopper of 2lb 14oz. We’ll be back again before the season ends, long journey from Hertfordshire. Well done with your fishing, superb 👍

Thanks Terry! Wow that's a lovely fish. It's a long way for me as well but always worth the journey. What a place! Maybe see you on the bank down there one day. Thanks for watching mate. Tight lines!

Brilliant video mate, I trot for Grayling on the Dove in Derbyshire. Can I ask what the bait apron/bucket was you were using?

Nice to see somebody trotting for grayling with a fixed spool not a “trendy” centre pin for a change . Great vid 👍🏻

I’d love to know these Cotswold streams with grayling

Unfortunately having not fished there since my late teens and the famous Cotswold rivers declining over the years I'm not sure they exist anymore. But one day I'll go back and explore again! I'm sure there are still a few knocking about it's just accessing the right areas! All I can say is I didn't appreciate them at the time and probably will never experience it again but that's fishing ay!!
