Brilliant video. I was on the Salisbury Avon yesterday and had 6 different species in one session. One was a Grayling. Absolutely beautiful and all fish in pristine condition.
Very clever angling in a magnificent scenery. Nothing better than a centrepin for an efficient downstream bait presentation and a good feeling of the river bed and fish caught. Tradition and up to date tackle is here a total succes. Thank you Daniel and Drennan team.
Beautiful video and really enjoyable watching. As a fly fisherman I do fancy having a go at trotting, especially on some rivers I fish with difficult back casting. Thank you for sharing, tight lines
Great video👍 as a sea fisherman who is looking to explore some river fishing this is extremely helpful, particularly the excellent rig and set up explanation👍🙏
Another lovely film, keep them coming Drennan. I’m off to catch some grayling tomorrow, will definitely take a tin of corn to see if I can find some larger specimens.
I'm fortunate to live in this area and have membership to fish this river in the winter. Nothing like a cold morning on the river and then home to get cosy.
What length hooklink are you using and how are you storing them after making them? Had a few goes on the itchen last year, had a good few sessions with some lovely fish up to 2.2lb, but when I needed to change hooklink I had to make it as you go, used the maggot premade hooklinks for a trip but foind the 12inches to long so i was cutting them down to 6 8 inch. Be interesting to know what length and how you store them. Cheers 👌
Lovely video, you really captured the essence of grayling fishing, for me. One question, you reel in backwards kn the centrepin, is there a reason for this? 👍👍
Nice video, but as you say, they’re delicate fish - so why do you try to pull their dorsal fin off? Unnecessary! Also, grayling can’t digest sweetcorn so should only be used as hook bait, if you must, and not loose fed.
Why oh why is it deemed necessary to have constant music through a video. All of natures music edited out and replaced with something else that’s nothing to do with nature. Once again proof that owning a camera doesn’t make one a film producer, and the sole reason why, what should have been a good watch, was ruined for myself.

At last a film about trotting for Grayling by someone who really knows their stuff! Most enjoyable!

Thank you very much!
Nice one Drennan! We just uploaded a Grayling video ourselves... that 13ft Acolyte was perfect for the task!
These drennan videos are superb! And daniel's passion and brilliant way of presenting is off the scale. Top vid again from a top, top, top, guy!
Superb video, well made, highly informative and excellently presented. Thanks very much.

Lovely stuff Dan and Laurence. Rig looks remarkably similar to my mullet set-up!

Beautiful video.
Thank you very much!
Fair play to him, it's all about location, if your not on the right river, might as well piss in the wind
Hi there, beautiful vid, I live in southern France, where can I buy that specialist rod from ?
Great video. Could I please ask does having the line coming off the top of the centrepin rather than the bottom an advantage? It’s a grey area. Thanks
Really nice❤
Lovely fish the Grayling underrated fish I think probably the most active fish there is
What is the advantage with line coming from the top of your pin ?
can i ask why do you put your line on backwards?
Beautiful
Love it ❤
mega awesome film
Thanks 😊
Super👍🏻
Keep it up brother

Hmm... boney mouthed grayling eh...
