Great stuff lads. Cracking video. I was on that beat yesterday, but didn’t crack the 2lb barrier. 1.15 biggest.

Good video lads, it's not just salmon and sea trout numbers that are decling on the Nith, years ago you'd have had 30+ Grayling trotting magots or brammie worms, sad times. Did you notice that wee sea trout had been attacked by a FEB, looked like it had a beak mark half way down it.

What rods are you using? I can only find commercial style rod’s in tackle shops

I was using a diawa waggler 13 ft rod at the time, no use a Guru Aventus 14ft float rod. Think Alex is using a Greys rod not sure of specifics.

Beautiful river and fish. But terrible fish handling. You need to keep the fish in the water as much as possible. Five seconds lift up for fast photo. Release

@@angling360 100% mate. Used to spend time in that area as a lad. Interesting to see you’re using centrepin gear. Is this allowed year round? Have a weird style of fishing here. Like to drift artificial baits / flies but using pin instead of traditional fly gear. Or is it just a winter thing? Would be dream come true to fish that river. What’s the name of the hotel where you park vehicle? I used to roam the river upstream from Dumfries…. Enjoying more of your videos. Good stuff!
