Cracking stuff Mick!! Not my style of fishing but could sit here, learn and be engaged by fishing! Thank you to you and NuFish for giving the air time to fishing at all levels and methods! Top man 👏👏👏
@@NuFish I used to fish the Upper Trent at Burton on Trent back in the seventies & eighties , great days so yes I like a river. I enjoy watching you guys at Nufish.,
The quality of your videos gets better, well done Joe, great to see you on the Trent. At first I thought the river was flowing in the wrong direction, thank you very informative.
Another great video Mick i will be definitely trying that rig on my local river Ribble. The place is heaving will roach dace and chub like you say in the video start with maggots or casters so it promotes bites so your putting a good bed of bait when the small fish feed it brings the bigger fish so you can start putting bigger baits on like corn or a piece of meat keep the videos coming. Fished the trent years ago Holme pierpoint and Holme marsh great river 🎣🎣🎣🎣👍
Used to fish Beeston marina and the main river when at Notts Uni, not been for years now and would love to try it again, commercials have spoiled me too much
Superb video of river fishing! Definitely will borrow a few great advice for my fishing-armory from it. However the most interesting aspect that drawn my attention is how straight Mick's back is in sitting position on the box! Frankly I'm struggling to achieve that for quite a while now. Is it something about how the box should be positioned?
If you don't mind, I'm going to SNAGGLE that rig for my feeder fshing. Lord Scotthorne uses a similar rig but instead of using a Stotz, he uses a small bead in (what would be) the 2nd twizzle before creating it.
Mick starts at about 70cm and goes from there. if he's missing loads of bites he will shorten it to 60 or even 50cm. But sometimes a longer trace will get more bites so it all about experimentation
Love your River Videos Mick always very interesting and informative…Never Enough River Videos 😁😉
Glad you like them!

Hi Andy
A size 10 seems to works well
Used to fish Beeston marina and the main river when at Notts Uni, not been for years now and would love to try it again, commercials have spoiled me too much
Great video Mick 👍

Good video mick ! U my friend are an excellent communicator, how long was your hook length on this video?
Mick changed it a few times, but around 60cm was good.
Hi Mick
What size swivel and line would you recommend.
Thanks
Pete

Brilliant video mick, how do you determine how long the hook length is?
Mick starts at about 70cm and goes from there. if he's missing loads of bites he will shorten it to 60 or even 50cm. But sometimes a longer trace will get more bites so it all about experimentation
Many thanks.
Great Vid Mick!!
What set up was you using?Rod Length,Reel size and line strength?
Hi Michael, Mck chose a 12ft 6in Supera 80g with a 2.5oz tip. Reel was a 520 Extremity loaded with a 6lb prototype reel line. Hope this helps.
You've got to try Caythorpe mate 🎣🎣🎣
Next time!
What make of diamond eye swivel please mick ?
Hi , mick just bought these from his local shop , any size 8/7 size diamond eye is perfect
What rod and reel do you recommend
Mick likes the 12ft 6in super 80g with a 2.5oz tip for this work matched up to a 520 extremity reel!
the second knot is not needed, the line does not fray
The second knot is to hook the fish
