- Ever since her debut, Korone has had the nickname of "Bukkorone", which is the combination of "bukkorosu" (to violently kill/to beat to death) and "Korone."
Korone and Subaru answer various questions about themselves during a one-on-one off-collab.

"She's a little weird, but she is good" is probably the most accurate description of Korone I have ever heard.
"and then Korone showed up" *Korone immediately disappears*
COMEDY!
Korone's debut stream will forever be the best for all the wrong reasons. It is the only unintentional horror debut for a vtuber. It was scary for various of reasons. The theme song, Korone's weirdness, OBS acting up, and finally Okayu coming to her rescue was a mental journey.
Korone as a cautionary tale.. "Try to avoid doing this" lol
Korone's debut story was absolutely wild. First she barely got a word out and invited Okayu to join her in her own debut stream, which then turned into a really timid first collab with Gamers... but still immediately created yubi yubi and talked about amputation and gory surgery to a bewildered Fubuki and Mio.
There really couldn't have been a more fitting start for this utterly weird and awesome doggo.
You can also see how right they were about everyone being extremely nice. Okayu was already close, but Fubuki and Mio also really put the work in to carry Korone through that nervous collab. Because Okayu already meshed really well with them, poor Korone even felt like she was outside of "their" circle in that moment, but the always tried to involve her and to join even her very strange talking points.
the irritation on Fubuki voice baffled about the newcomer not getting any training about streaming, but then they all explode laughing at Korone goofyness lol
I love that they use her debut stream as an example of what not to do. It's iconic
I think Japan's way of thinking is limited sometimes. I understand the demand for perfection but Korone's debut is iconic because it wasn't. The mistakes on display made her relatable and it rallied people around to support her. You also have a clear progression of personal growth and people in general like an underdog story.
@@timepatroltrunks8276there's many reasons why she was the first JP to 1 million
She said "they probably use it as an example of what not to do", meaning they probably aren't doing that.
@@timepatroltrunks8276that stream really showed off Korone in the best way possible. As funny as it is, if the stream was "perfect" it would've been a waste of time and forgotten.
The fact that Yagoo gave Korone a chance to develop, and used the debut as a learning experience is proof that he really is the mastermind of Hololive's success.
That legendary Splatoon stream was Korone's first Hololive appearance a few days before her actual debut.
Even as a shy rookie doog, she was a secret mad dog, huh?
Yandere korone hits different yo 😂😂😂
Korone is the Majima of Hololive
Subaru is still the gullible, innocent, easy to bully target even now 😂
But her rebound time has become almost instant with how much exxperience she has built up now xD
She's that Honest of an Individual, she is trusting almost everyone, even Pekora despite that Rabbit's 'crimes' against her.
I 100% get the "Everyone is being nice... this feels off". I'm so glad that Hololive is basically a bunch of friends.
Also, I love the idea of Korone's debut being a cautionary training video, especially since she also likes the idea.
The 0:48 translation of bukkoro-sarete as "violently Korone'd" has me dying 😂 TY for your wonderful subs 🙏
It only took a minute to get a little darker 😂
There was recently a clip where korone had a slip of the tongue and said she used to work at a hospital and alot of stuff makes sense if she used to be like a nurse or something like that.
Even what she talks about in this clip with being bullied by her coworkers makes sense. I've seen many horror stories from nurses talking about the BS they deal with from other nurses and a couple of my cousins who work as nurses tell me similar things.
It would also kind of explain why she started as someone really shy, almost aqua like, to the point she would rarely collab with anyone that wasn't okayu and very few people back then
Also that would be a good reason for her not being able to step up when the sick person needed help left such a impression on her.
mio and fubuki described koro-san as "she's a bit weird, but she has her heart in the right place" sent me man, they're right tho.
Nice clip. Now I need to rewatch Korone's debut stream! Speaking of which, it's just a few more days till her anniversary. Can't wait!
Lmaoo am just imagining they pull the clip up and say and now class this is not what to do in your debut stream and u see korone 😂😂😂
Korone went from "I dont know anything about OBS" to "I will eat yubis, draw funny pngs to put on stream and do a whole choir recital just for fun".
She really came a long way.
The best part is how the last part was STILL her not knowing about OBS and didn't reset it leading to bugs until Noel told her to turn it on and off again
What makes the whole thing funnier is that while Korone's more... interesting tendencies were known, she was still holding back a lot. Imagine if she had debuted with all the confidence and energy she has now lol
Korone ended up being Hololive’s darkness 😂
Nah, that's La+
Isn't hololive like 80% darkness 😂
@@shonenbat6553 I thought Laplus was Earth element, tho?
@@shonenbat6553 nah, that's Hololive's Darknesss with 3 s's lol
@@shonenbat6553 OP's not wrong. Yamada's darkness was never acknowledged even in name.
Its interesting to see how they reveal such things, victims of bullying, black office workers, etc and come to a place that they think will be the same and turns out to be a paradise of work and camaraderie where even if some scuffles happen, its water under the bridge the next day, they are all great friends, some more than others of course, but thats natural.
First impressions: 🥐 "Oh yeah, I roflstomped you in Splatoon, didn't I?" 🦆 " I have never forgotten that day 🥲"
Also it's been said a dozen times but there's still a sense of badass that comes with knowing you were the reason they created the ESRB-I mean, implemented training for new talents in the future. 🤣
They literally paved the road and worked hard so that the new generation can walk easily without doing much. The fact that before they even debut and get over 100k to 500k subs proves my point.
It is a big reminder that Hololive was actually very small before, even smaller than the Vtuber agencies today. It's just that 2020 was the perfect fortunate time that they had shown a chance and other fates of change.
very amazing feeling, hearing these old tales from hololive veterans about the many experiences they had at the frontier.
Fun tidbit about where Korone says "I was worried because my last workplace was all girls and I got bulled."
Something I learned in University when the professors were assigning project teams is that they always make sure to put at least one person of the opposite gender in each team. There's something about gender dynamics where if there's someone of the opposite gender present, everybody just chills the F out. Maybe they just don't want to offend or scare the opposite gender and tend to keep things mostly in order. Who knows? Like, we were free to get weird but it won't get TOO out of hand. Maybe having someone with a different point of view prevents it from becoming a crazy echo chamber or something.
Hearing about the crazy stories from single gender schools, I can sorta see where Korone is coming from.
As far as I can tell, it doesn't have to be equal ratio or anything. Just one person of the opposite gender is sufficient. No worries, Hololive, we got YAGOO on the case. Also, I'm pretty sure Staff and Managers are mixed gender (though I think Manager is at the Talent's discretion), even if they don't show on-stream.
Also I'm happy to (further) hear the the culture is nice in Hololive. As someone who's been around the corpo block, that sort of thing takes a lot of effort to build and maintain.
Personal headcanon now is that HoloX and ReGloss got the How to OBS package is just Korone's scuff xD
Hehe, the bullying is still there but it’s Okayu-flavored 😆
1:27 This is something that impresses me about Hololive, with so many people even in EN alone, it's surprising how well everyone seems to get on.
God I love how they can just talk about the old days openly and laugh together 😋 Such chummy chemistry
Dogs hunts ducks, so... nothing unexpected here 🤣
this duo should be named Duck Hunt

I am waiting for Oozora Police to drag Korone into the room for a little chat about all of the crimes Korone has been accused of. And then somehow get off the hook for "intimidating" the chat into giving a Not Guilty verdict.
Subaru thinking Korone is a violent doggo, Korone thinking Subaru is a violent duck. * Two Spiderman pointing at each other *
To be honest, it IS remarkable that they managed to put together a large group of mainly female members who get along so well. Not to stereotype obviously, but Korone is correct that there is often a lot of backbiting in environments like that.
I wonder if hypotethically, a new recruit that never see Korone on stream, and finally meet her in a collab, will say "Ah, the person in the OBS lesson video"
Other holomem first time meeting Subaru : that a loud duck
Korone first time meeting Subaru : **doggo violence**
Going back and watching 1st gen, 2nd gen, and gamers debuts is kind of surreal now, especially if you're a newer fan of hololive. Not that newer gens are strangers to scuff on debut, but Korone and Subaru mentioned here that now the girls get training on how to use OBS, even going as far as showing what not to do with old debuts 😆
As professional as the company is now with their talents, it's an interesting look into how indie-feeling those first generations were.
Industry was pretty much a barren land back then after all, specially when the vtuber streaming trend started
So many of Korone's iconic moments are her struggling with OBS. Lot's of people will remember the impromptu psychedelic music video we got when she tried to have assets sliding across the screen, only to not be able to stop them, and every attempt she made to fix the problem made it all worse, until she couldn't find a scene she could salvage. The clipper I watched actually included the caption _"I didn't edit this in the slightest, the next 5 minutes are all Korone."_
It's not just her that didn't start with a great understanding of OBS, either: Kanata is still called PPTenshi because she was more comfortable with PowerPoint than OBS when she debuted
A certain amount of scuff is just considered part of the flavour for vtubers.
It also gave birth to dark korone one day 😂
*Korone appears : EXTREME VIOLENCE !
Not to stereotype, but I've been kind of surprised that in a workplace made up entirely of (mostly) young women, everyone gets along. Clearly I'm not the only one who wondered about that.
They are mostly nerds, mostly at least bisexual, and have no boys to compete for.
Also due to recent events, on top of "how not to debut stream ft. Korone" course, holo would probably teach "how bullying your coworkers in a vtuber agency ruins your career (and agency) ft. kurosanji".
I'm guessing it's probably bcuz they still have auditions but not in a large way, probably through checking personalities was enough (the first ones Sora and A-chan with Yagoo having great personality). And the 1st gen setting a caution [Hitomi Chris incident] and example
I still think it's just cuz Yagoo is good at pulling irl 5 star Vtuber though, and he must be very aware that he's trying to make an entertainment company
I'd imagine they don't hang out often "at work" so there's no day-to-day workplace drama really, they stream from their homes most of the time so they don't need to interact with everyone else all the time, so the friend groups can mostly happen naturally and they can "avoid" anyone they might not be close friends with, unlike most jobs. Also, being paid very well & treated well by your employer probably goes a long way in improving the mood of the workers so nobody is coming to work pissed off already like in most jobs lol
Maaan, I wish Korone's early streams were still around. Pepsi Man and such.
She had a lot of Overseas watchers before Hololive EN had been around.
It is due to her funny english pronunciation and her frequent 'Hey Guys' that attracted a lot of EN clippers and Viewers.
Didn't know how to use OBS properly, and somehow ended up being kind of a staple of hers
For the first time ever, a Kohai’s first impression of Subaru wasn’t that she was scary… instead it’s Subaru who was scared
Korones debut is probably the most iconic Hololive if not all Vtuber debut stream ever. Sure guras "A" is more widely known but our doog came in crashing like Truck-kun un steroids and isekaid us into this rabbithole
Good old day
So it’s been accurate
2:05 just as true today
wholesome
Holo Staff: So this is the debut of the infamous doggo. Please try not to copy.
New holomem: *taking notes* Please copy.
Holo Staff: Yes. Huh?! Wait no!
New holomem: 👹
Wild
Management back then: Imploding debut stream? Yeah...try not to do this.
Management now: 12-hour endurance streams? Disregarding scripts during sponsored events to the point where we don't even give you a script anymore? Yeah...try not to do this.
From OBS noob to OBS master
So their first impression is just simply the truth lol
Subaru being kind, but bulliable
Korone being odd, but nice
And wow, Korone suddenly dropping the dark truth when it comes to "le all girls group", so I can't blame her being so cautious with Hololive's kindness. You'd think that you got scammed or dragged into some shady group
Korone used to be bullied!? There'd be hell to pay if those bullies ever got exposed... But man, maybe that's why she picked up boxing? But whichever the case, she's much happier and stronger now!
Also, is there a hidden dark side to this all-girls work place called Hololive?
"No" Said Suisei reassuringly with a slight gleam from the golden axe behind her...
girl bullying is much different from guy bullying. it's psychological and passive-aggressive. you can't do anything to defend against it.
The fact Korone was scared of hidden dark story behind a friendly atmosphere basically sums up streamers these days. Always wholesome stuff until some random people on Twitter starts talking about harassments 🤣
korone debut is so wrong that it's right.
look at where she is now.
upd8 bullied Korone?
Doggo joined unicorn company
she joined a black company
