I wonder if there is any book with her biography as this woman's life must have been incredible. She was a real diva, we do not have many like her any more....
Hi Francisco, "The meaning of a diva is closely related to that of a prima donna" according to Wikipedia and I could not agree any more: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divamore. Eartha Kitt was in my opinion, a very kind-hearted and generous lady whose childhood background was horrendous. She strived and survived everything that life threw at her. A kind and caring, "woman of the world" she declared to me during our interview. A woman who witnessed first-hand racism, verbal and physical abuse, starvation and a severe lack of what we all need during our time spent on this planet and of which there is quite simply not enough going around......LOVE! Love is thankfully what she finally found, in the shape of her only child, Kitt Shapiro, together with Kitt's husband and their two children and if you are on Facebook, there is an Eartha Kitt page run by her daughter where you will find many lovely photographs as well as Kitt's postings of her mother's thoughts and quotation and I hope you enjoy the other interview segments that I have posted here on TH-cam. Best wishes, Douglas Hall
@@douglashall6795 thank you for the videos and info, I will catch up with more about her on Facebook. she's truly smart, kind, loving, fun and a true survivor!
This is wonderful! Thank you so much for making this available to the world. The world needs all the Eartha Kitt it can get! This woman was her true self no matter what the consequences, and there were unspeakable consequences she faced, yet she never wavered from being her true self. She was not a human, she was a soul amongst humans trying to show them by example what they truly are. I will never forget that example. I am not my race, my gender, my social status, my financial status, or even my role I play in this world....I am the soul that transcends all these things! Blessings 🙏💞
Thanks for that, Olaf. I'm just sorry I did not post this sooner, but it's never too late, I say! I promise to get more of the material up here as soon as I can. I hope having known her for many years, you will enjoy the rest of the material as much as you have this clip. Douglas :)
Her life story should have already been recreated on film..Long overdue
