I personally think this is one of your best songs. Ever! I love y'all's cohesion instrumentally. I love the melody of the entire song. Daniel, those deep cello notes hit me right in the heart strings.
I note that during the first two stanzas of the song -the "Happy" stanzas, there are only three adjectives, but when y'all get to the "broken people", there are four, and that you recap with the positive, "Friendly people". I love when y'all sing during the "All the people in Alabama" part.
The dichotomy of the deep voices and the squeal of the cello toward the end of the song...daaaaaamn. And the wind down... And the weirdness...
