    I've driven a 2015 Black Volvo S60 sedan T5 for 2 years straight, this car saved my butt twice (2 times) during my time on the road... This this is an awesome feature, I feel safe having it

    Amazing technology.

    Well that's also ok, but still there are many other drivers that drive at 40km/h (not sure how much in mph is that), on the other hand if the system works only at 10mph or less then it would be ok, but on the other hand, most of the people don't get distracted after they start breaking, they do before it, and at that time they usually drive faster than 10mph.
    However this system would be helpful for inexperienced drivers that are still unable to judge the car's breaking distance and brake late

    Tech meets safety. That should come in handy in rush hour stop n' go traffic. Not that drivers should be less careful; it's just an added safety feature.

    Im not sure, I believe Consumer Reports gave the new models average predicted reliability. European cars in general are just not known for there reliability which is a true shame :/

  • @oogiemaster
    @oogiemaster 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    People drive like this all the time during stop and go traffic jam like in LA or when making a right turn when the car in front of you actually stop while you are looking at your left.

    Not that keen on a system that even partially tries to compensate for driver inattention. Better driver education and responsibility is the key to road safety.

    If I remember correctly, Volvo reliability was still higher than all other Euro and American brands, but still not as good as they were before the Ford takeover.

    Nah no way, this only works up until 10 mph. Though I think the newer models go up until 30 mph.
    Closest thing you get at high speeds is the adaptive cruise control, I think. Set your max speed and it keeps a following distance you set to the car in front. I wonder if it would come to a complete stop though :)

  • @Kuson2

    I don't know...I could see this causing more issues than it prevents... and if the driver was responsible there would be no need for this at all...you're supposed to be paying 100% attention 100% of the time when driving anywhere. So what is this supposed to prevent? The stupid ass on the phone from learning how to drive responsibly? What if the system fails and malfunctions..seems risky. I know I'm being very negative but there isn't a need for this. People need to drive themselves.
