Gonna need you to design my house enuh! These content have me thinking it would be easier to design my own home. We have business to discuss. This is excellent content as usual!!
I got you bro. I was able to wrap my head around the concept due to my own understanding but particularly because of the technique you used in your explanation. Thanks for connecting the ..................for me
THANKS TO YOU in less than one week I have learned a lot in this domain, although I am but a beginner. Your tutorials are all perfect, for they are precise. Thank you ever so much!
Wow, thank you for that...never knew that this space tool could be that helpful...this has really changed my whole perspective as to how design is...super great teachings
Bro you can set a layer to non print by clicking the icon in the layer property. You can also turn off the space display in model while it’s still visible in other view.
I found Space Separator, I had to grab it from the Imperial sample catalog. Now I have to figure out why it’s not working. I’m watching you were you reset space parameters. Hoping that will get it to work.
Do you use the revit app as well? I am trying to get ino a job but they use the revit app instead. It would be awesome if you had any videos with the revit app because You're a real awesome teacher.
Edward, this is the first for me working with spaces in this manner. In your video where you show space separator, I don’t have that in ACA 2021. All it shows in that section of the tool palette is Generate space , ceiling Grid and Theme Space by size, ( it’s not up on the ribbon either. Is this something that can be gotten from the tools catalog??? On a different note, can the hatch pattern for the CMU6 wall be changed and if so how. Thanks, Doug
You can change the hatch pattern by a right click/edit wall style/materials tab/click on CMU/click the pencil icon/display properties tab/edit display properties icon/hatching tab/click on plan hatch/under the pattern column, select your pattern/adjust scale and angle as needed/hit ok. Hope that helped.
Edward… Learning Alot! Question: I do work in Sierra Leone Africa where the people mold solid concrete blocks by hand. They are 9”x 18”x 8” for instance. Can I make this custom block size to use in my design in Autocad? Thank you in advance.
Hi Edward, your videos are great I am learning a lot from them. Thank you so much. I am using ACAD Architecture 2020 but for the space planning i couldn't find the space separator tool in the design content of the program. I didn't find it at the design centre either please advise .
thank you very for this video..i ve a question ( a need) can i associate objet by space (or Zone) ?i mean can i use dataextract to extract obejects by zone ou space? thank you for ur feedback.
Hi Edward thanks for your great tutorial! I wanted to apply floor thickness as the finish thickness, but then the floor gets pulled underneath. Is there a way to pull the floor thickness towards the ceiling direction? Or would you suggest another way to apply floor finish? Many thanks!
If I'm understanding your question, you'll have to change the slab justification to "bottom". You can do that while the command is active, it should be an option in the command line, or change it in the properties after the fact. I hope that helped.
Hi Edward, great video, very helpful. How do you edit the labels so they automatically display the area of the room underneath the room name? Thanks in advance.
@@TDVision_U OK great, thanks for the quick reply man. You've pointed me in the right direction, and if I still can't do it I'll just manually insert a text box with the area taken from the space properties.
I'm designing this small buidling for a district heating facility and I'm still having this question concerning spaces. Is it a good practice to create a space, with a floor and a ceiling, say 25cm each, and then create two real slabs at those positions to cover the roof and ceiling? Thanks for the great videos by the way.
I think you can create the space, without the floor and ceiling, then manually add the floor and ceiling in, to make them separate from the space object. I hope you understand me.
AutoCAD Architecture is like the original AutoCAD with additional features to do building drawing. So AutoCAD Architecture does everyone the original AutoCAD does. But there are other versions of AutoCAD that are specific to other disciplines, like electrical, plumbing, or engineering. I hope that answers your question.
Nice content, I’m trying to migrate from Autocad to Autocad architecture and can’t seem to figure out how to plot in just regular monochrome. Any hint?
Hey I'm an aspiring architect going to finish high school this year I would like to know the best Universities or Colleges to further myself. Along with some of the best places I could seek work
Hey, thanks for the question, and also for watching! If you're in Jamaica, or the Caribbean, the Caribbean School of Architecture, UTech, would probably be the best University for an aspiring Architect, but it's not easy to get into. Your grades have to be very good. Having a well put together portfolio with all your work is also a plus to get in. If you chose to go to a college, I think Knox Community College, Browns Town Community College or Heart Trust, offer some CAD and AEC course. Those would be able to give you a good start until you get into an Architectural school. You can check those out. In terms of work, I am not sure where exactly you can get work, but you could try the local parish council, see if you can be a clerk in the planning department; or at a local drafting/planning/construction company; or just get a work on a construction site - which would give you a good understanding of the whole building and construction process. I hope my answer was helpful. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
You are great! Thank you!

I guess you can you use that in foundation dwg as unexcavated areas or visa versa to calculate soil removal if it were a crawl space.
Yes you can. Plus you can pull pull volumes from the foundation footing itself, as well as walls.
Thank you very much for your videos. Congratulations!!. I have a question: how do you create a space with a sloped ceiling?
Nice

You can draw a regular polyline and changes it's properties to make it a bounding element. That will make it into a space separater.

Hi Edward, great video, very helpful. How do you edit the labels so they automatically display the area of the room underneath the room name? Thanks in advance.
Thanks man. You will have to create a new tag. That's a whole video in itself.

Please help me when I pick my space it traces but through the axis of the surrounding walls how do I adjust thanks
BIG UPS MAN..pls small question about how i can show the length/ breath of the space tag instead of the room number
Thank you. That's a great video suggestion. I will make a note of that.
You are the best teacher. I have 1 question, Can I use this software to design everything? OR is it must to have original Autocad software?

@@TDVision_U yes 100%

type the command "CONVERTYPSTYLE"
Can u show how to do a vaulted ceiling or step down with 2 heights
I will add it to my very long list of request. Stick around for it though.

Question: How to join 2 spaces to make it one.
You know I am not sure. I've never had to join spaces back. I usually just draw it over of if I needed to. I will check though.
You are too much
