Single transfer voting system അതിൽ 36 വോട്ട് കിട്ടിക്കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ അടുത്ത ആളെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാൻ surplus vote le 2 preference നോക്കും എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു്. 40 വോട്ട് ഒരാൾക്ക് കിട്ടി എന്ന് കരുതുക. അപ്പൊ 4 വോട്ട് surplus ആണ്. 4 വോട്ടിലെ 2 preference നോക്കും എങ്കിൽ 40 വോട്ട് കിട്ടിയതിൽ ഏത് 4 വോട്ട് ആണ് എടുക്കുക. അതോ അയാളുടെ 40 വോട്ടിലെയും 2nd preference നോക്കുമോ?
