Infiray P2 Pro goes up to 600°C and has 25Hz... still relatively smooth but way larger Temp range. I have that one and its really nice. Cant really say anything about absolute temps
@@Slot1Gamer using as a thermal device to see foxes, wild dogs/dingoes and deer 100-200m away I wouldn't be attaching it to a rifle and trying to shoot them, just using my phone to detect them.
@@Slot1Gamer quick question, when searching for the Xinfrared One XH09 I can't find any Aussie suppliers and most of the ones on eBay/Temu have the same product name but slightly different branding, pictures and writing on the camera. Are these all coming out of the same factory with different branding or are they cheap knock-offs?
Infiray manufacture the actual thermal module that’s inside. The branding you see on AliExpress may just be that stores brand they put on all their listings (phonefix for example). You can purchase directly from them to be sure INFIRAY Official Store a.aliexpress.com/_oC8kCmC
Thanks for the review. I really want a camera that works for indoor and outdoor. I have to decide if I am okay with that 100c limit though. I don't think there is anything I need to do that hot but that is a bothersome limit.
@@Slot1Gamer how soon is soon? I'm very interested in that. I want something that is both good for board work and also house inspection etc for weatherproof stuff. So close up and distance, but would realy like 50 Hz Great review, I've subscribed :)
Interesting, but shouldn't the American Seek version be limited to 15FPS as to not be considered a weapon? Not sure why this would not apply to Infiray? Or it doesn't matter as long as you do not try to export/import it...
For ITAR compliance I think it may be the case but I think it may only apply to specific bolometer technologies. That or its China and they do what they want, there is no domestic sales ban on the infiray sensors in the US that I am aware of however..
@@Slot1Gamer Might be, years back i have bought a 25fps Seek Compact PRO version in EU and it serves me well. I know i was specifically searching for the faster FPS and remember the discussions, specifically about having troubles crossing borders. Although, who at the customs would know what this little pendant even was :)
I have xh09 for about a year for night vision project for my car. This 0-100C is not really true. at 100C it gives you white noise, but i just checked and it definetly works under 0C. My freezer has propably about -20C, and the image of icecream was really ok. It may read bad temperature but not white noise. In conclusion, this is not a great workshop accesory, it's ment for hunting. If you want something for electonics, get a T2S or P2 pro. If you want something for long distance, go with seek thermal nano 300, which is cheaper and better than XH09.
I bought the new Seek Nano 300, for troubleshooting electrical installations, but I'm also passionate about watching wild animals. I couldn't believe how cool the animals look in the field at night. 10 times better than with a flashlight. But the software still has problems. The image freezes, flickers or the camera disconnects.
@@Sim_Tiby xh09 freezes every couple minutes, but otherwise i had no problem with. Is nano 300 camera operable with different software, i mean when you connect it to your pc it detects as usb camera or needs seek thermal dedicated app to work?
@@JJCotek I've only used it on my phone so far, I had no reason to use it on my PC. The phone has a dedicated application from them for the Nano 300. It doesn't work with their old application. I tried with the nExt Camera app and it doesn't see the camera. On the Nano 300 application, fleas sometimes appear, or the image freezes or the camera disconnects from everything, and you have to re-insert it, 2-3 times to recover. Yeah Id say 600c is probably good enough for most use cases, I might pick one up eventually haha
Would you be able to do a comparison between the X2, P2 and T2 models? I'm new to thermals and optics and have no idea about any of the jargon.
If I can get a hold of some I will.
What is your use case, I could likely recommend one based of that

I think the X2 is the best use case due to its optics being zoomed in
That is its main use case from the marketing

Hey Liam, I've been trying to find one of these online for a few months but they all appear to be sold out. Would you be selling yours by any chance?
Sorry I want to keep it
But it does seem to be in. Stock on AliExpress

thank you! I had been searching for this on Ali Express and couldn't find it!
im thinking about getting one of these mounted to my rifle and putting the phone on my helmet mount.
Sounds like a neat setup, they do also make a scope style thermal camera
