    This is a much needed video for the general public to understand just how much weightage should they give to these rankings when deciding which schools to apply for (not just B-schools but any school in general).
    PS I truly enjoy your content it honestly confuses me as to why your channel hasn't exploded yet. It's an incredibly resourceful channel. I sure hope you get a bucket load of views and subscribers in the near future!

    Betteridge's Law of Career Protocol titles: any title that ends in a question mark can be answered with the word "kinda."

    Hey Angela. Hope you're well. I just want to thank you whole heartedly. This comment is not on this video but this video popped up and I thought why not? So, coming back to the thank you. I have watched your videos for over a year now I guess. I had an interview lately right. It was for a role that was a complete 180 to what I had done or what I could even do but I had always wanted to do it. All I had was passion for the role that's all. So panic mode on I watched several videos re how to crack the interviews and got fed up everyone had instructions - talk like this, sit like this, laugh like this, ask this, etc etc, you get my point, right? And then I remebered in one of your videos, I think, re the MBA interview, you had talked about the airport test. I just remembered that and I thought to be just me, no impostor syndrome. And I thought what's the point of trying to fake it and impress when the truth of who you really are is going to come out anyhow and if they don't like the truth, you are done. All they are trying to suss as you said, if they are stuck with you at the airport for a good while, would they enjoy it? And I just stayed me. The so called interview lasted 1.5 hours and the whole panel and me were just laughing all the time. I was laughing even more coz they kept trying to stick to the interview questions and taking notes and this made them laugh at themselves! Lol! I just didn't want it to end 🤣. Bless them, they patiently answered 12 questions that I wanted answers for 🤣 and did say never have they ever taken so many notes or been asked so many questions. It truly is down to your passion and will you enjoy each other's company? I knew I had the job within a few minutes of starting the interview despite not having the tech qualifications or even the experience. To top it all they gave me an 80% hike from my existing salary during these times. So, thank you for sharing the airport test analogy and reinforcing what I always have believed - you are your biggest USP - so don't try to be anyone else. Thankkkkkk youuuuuuu xxxx

    Great video and content! Although, I came to this video hoping for a more global view (including schools outside the US). I would say the principles you're discussing are still relevant either way! Maybe a more global view for the next MBA Monday :)

      Yeah fair point. But TBH, global rankings are sort of nonsense (as evidenced by the Economist shuttering theirs). It's just not logical to compare programs in such diverse geographies because location alone will determine 90% of the value you get in terms of placement opportunities and the network and very few people are geographically indifferent to the rest of their life. Most people choose geography first and then look at rankings witin that space. That said, we do have a ton of global MBA vids!

    Have you considered expanding your reach to International schools? (eg Oxbridge, LBS, Insead etc)

      @CareerProtocol  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Joseph! We're already planning to cover INSEAD this year, as well as general differences between business schools (and admissions) in the US and Europe, just as soon as we're able to film with Charli, our amazing (and very busy) international admissions expert. Schools in the UK and Asia are pencilled in too.
      So hopefully soon! Watch this space 🙂

    Hi Angela, any thoughts on the MBA program at UIC? I got my undergrad from there and the university seems to be highly respected but they are unranked for their business school.

    • @CareerProtocol
      @CareerProtocol  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Generally have a very good impression if UIC as an institution. No additional context about their MBA program. But, our general advice is to broaden your network through the MBA by not returning to the same institution you attended for undergrad, though. If the program opens the doors you are seeking in your post-MBA goals, though, it's still worth considering!

    PLease I would STRONGLY like to know...what is your opinion about Temple UNiversity MBA program. Is Temple University a good school?

    • @CareerProtocol
      @CareerProtocol  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jude! This is not one of the programs we are very familiar with, so I can't say. Check out how it ranks and then do personal research on what the school offers vis-a-vis what you need to gain from your MBA and figure out if it is a good fit for YOU. That is the most important thing.
