How To Set Up CORSAIR DDR5 Memory in iCUE

- This is a tutorial on how to install and set up DDR5 memory in CORSAIR iCUE.
ASUS motherboards currently require SPD_WRITE functionality to be explicitly enabled in BIOS in order for iCUE to recognize and control lighting.
The XMP Profile Manager is currently available as a preview feature for ASRock and Gigabyte motherboards in iCUE. Custom profiles created by the XMP manager, need to be applied in BIOS after creation.

Life saving video not sure about lighting effect but with serial presence detect (SPD) disabled my CORSAIR - VENGEANCE 5.2GHZ memory would not work with XMP enabled (failed Passmark Memtest). It would work fine with it disabled. Once SPD was enabled it worked fine with XMP enabled
Same issue. ICUE would also crash with SPD disabled.
Is this guide necessary to run quad channel bc I can still only run 2 sticks of DDR5 RAm on my mobo

When I enable xmp in bios and save the reboot shows a failure to boot the stays on that screen till I reboot to bios???
Hello i have this ram in my pc Corsair 32GB KIT DDR5 6200MHz CL36 Dominator Platinum RGB White i have B650M AORUS ELITE AX ICE motherboard but pc is not starting do you know why its not working?
No stock. My corsair build was nearly completed, but going to go with a different brand for RAM because corsair has no stock. I would be happy to cancel my current DDR5 ram order if corsair does get stock within the next few days.
Still no stock lol. Ended up finishing my new ddr5 build. Mainly corsair parts except for the RAM.

Nice memory's when the rgb leds work, because reboot every time that one or more memory's don't get the rgb on or stay at the wrong color.

"ASUS motherboards must have SPD_WRITE turned on" - You need to be WAY more clear about this. It's not neccesarily turned ON, it's set to FALSE. You're technically still right, but it's very confusing for people, even if you are a tech.
How can i turn it on
I just updated my bios to 1003 version and, SPD is set up fine but still my ram are doing what they want , not working custom lighting, they get stuck on some light cycle or not start at all….z690 maximus hero, windows 11, 12900k, 32gb Corsair dominator…please help! It’s the only issue and instability I have on this system!
Exact same setup here. I was able to customize my rgb a few times before i did the new bios update (1003).
@@balubas4548 I solved it man, disabling “plugin” on icue settings fixed everything! I was so astonished! I hope this will help, let me know!

Corsair DDR5 memory is there, not here in Europe or in the rest of the world. Please show us where to buy them not how to configure them

DDR5 memory is a fraud. I have an Asus Z690 Extreme motherboard (1200€ mobo) and 4x16GB sticks of Dominator 5600MHz C36 (paid 1000€ for 4 sticks), I can't drive 4 sticks at 4.6GHz and I need to drive them 4.4GHz. Just skip this thing, they costs a lot more than DDR4 and they perform even worse.
DDR5 works fine when you know how to use it. Sounds like a mobo or xmp profile problem. By the way, nobody needs $1000 ram, and it's your fault for thinking the price would be worth the performance.
You caught the early adopter bug, and paid way too much for the privilege. Got buyers remorse.
I'm not trying to be a jerk. But even if your gaming with an i9 and a 3080, DDR5 will only get at best 15fps over ddr4.
