Self-Defense Striking | How to Develop Power Through Rotation

  • Look my fellow Krav Ma-geeks... we're not exactly known for having the most beautiful striking in the world and that's ok --- until it's not ok because your strikes sucketh greatly and lacketh power. Now our strikes don't need to look beautiful for self-defense, but we definitely want to make sure they have power behind them if we're looking to defend ourselves quickly and efficiently. This is where it's important to understand basic body mechanics and how rotation and pull back can DRASTICALLY improve the power behind those lovely punches, kicks, elbows, knees, etc.
